However he is a good warmongering puppet. My hope is he proves dysfunctional at that too.
Russia and China continue to forge stronger ties. They could collapse the US by issuing a combined ruble/yuan gold based currency, but I'm not really expecting that. Wouldn't surprise me to see the the dollar replaced by Fed Coin or some digital money to better track the citizenry.
I expect ever more weather weirding. Sad to say that's "baked in" for the remainder of our time. Perhaps we'll see more communities of like minded folks coming together. I hope so.
I plan to keep growing food and buying from my local farm producers. Come spring I'm cranking up regular music sessions here. Already planning on the FL folk fest in late May, and a week long music gathering in July. So I expect a return to a new normal anyway.
Always plenty to do around the place. More trees to plant next month. Already time to start onion seed, and past time to order vegetable and flower seeds. Got to buy a new tractor battery next week, mine gave up the ghost. So staying busy and pretty content given the state of the world.

My wish for the 2022 calendar is to see C99 continue to
question authority, break down the propaganda, educate and

That being said, I think every President since Eisenhower has been informed as to who is really running the country within the first couple of days of being in office.
I start my 71st year tomorrow. I don't know what to wish for other than not having to spend the last years I have ducking viruses and watching the country tear itself apart.

My younger brother was born on Christmas Day, we called him purple jesus
just cause when he came home, his color was sorta purple haze.
So we celebrated his birthdate 6 months out on June 25th, to make him
feel special. But he always got twice the presents at christ mass, just because
he was the baby of the family.

That being said, I think every President since Eisenhower has been informed as to who is really running the country within the first couple of days of being in office.
I start my 71st year tomorrow. I don't know what to wish for other than not having to spend the last years I have ducking viruses and watching the country tear itself apart.
My parents would not be in much of a mood to celebrate because they were "tired" from celebrating New Year's Eve.
It got better as I got older because people always remembered to call me after midnight. I have not been able to figure a way to get double presents.... sometimes I get double the drinks...ha!
This year we will spend the day packing up in hopes of getting from Helena to KY (3 days) before the next storm hits. I'm going to work even harder this year to keep my thoughts within the boundary of the day I am in in order to slow time down. I will need luck for that!

I think it’s Blinken, Powers and other Obiden rethreads who are running the show as well as the donors who are the real people in charge. And of course the military industrial complex. I do dread thinking that Kamala will be president.
I’m predicting that our reservoirs will be a little Fuller this year and I’ll be a year older with my hair being more white than salt and pepper. And thinner it looks like too.

Personally, in the next few days I will be entering the final quarter of school for now in my long held pursuit of a Bachelors Degree (Sustainable Building Science Technology). I am hoping the school will fund my tuition this quarter as I am currently unable to.
It is quite challenging to school oneself as a middle aged working class person. I also need to find work/ employment ASAP. I believe I will be having one interview next week, but that isn't enough to hang my hopes on. Hopefully things will smooth out a bit by February and beyond.
Even though I don''t comment a lot because of school or exhaustion I near daily appreciate the work done here and am humbled to be in the company of so many great and critically thinking minds.

yeah, 2021 has bad memories, and Brandon made one huge goof after another, but at least the oligarchs are happy.
I lost count of how many times groceries were shared between me and my neighbors. How many errands and favors did we all do for each other? I lost count on that, too.
I hope to be, and resolve to be, resistant to sniping at anybody of that exclusive 99%. My main New Year's Resolution will be to save my ire for the 1%.
My prediction is the 99%ers will be drawn much closer by economic circumstance.
I also predict we will be ready to stand beside one another.

Well, *I* did something this year I'd never done before: Made a New Year's resolution and kept to it!: I declared Saturdays my 'Internet shabbat' - and now that I've made it, I think rather than call it good, I'm going to expand on it next year: I'll be moving my 'hard shabbat' to Monday (Muslims do Friday, Jews Saturday, for Christians it's Sunday - I figure Monday must be the Satanist shabbat), and in addition, my Sat/Sun Internet-use shall only be for certain games; maybe I'll figure out other boundaries later.
