Good morning...
Hired a helper yesterday ad finished the sweet potato harvest. I cleaned and sorted the cured potatoes. I just rub off the dirt and wait till they are used to wash with water. These potatoes have been curing in the little room with the hot water heater.
Sweet potatoes convert starch to sugar as they cure. So half are cured and sorted by size in the pantry, and the fresh harvested potatoes are curing in the hot water heater room. Back in three weeks for cleaning a sorting.
Now it is time for a load of manure to cover the empty beds followed by a layer of wheat straw. Always something.

Good morning C99---New Alliances Possible?
Another warm sunny day in NYC. Some of the trees are starting to turn from green to gold. Winter will be here eventually.
Uncollected garbage must be especially smelly in this warm air in the areas of NYC that rage against the Mandates, or as I am now calling them, Forced Vaccinations.
It is not just the smell of garbage in the streets these balmy days. It is also the aroma of change.
The continuing emphasis on Our Bodies Our Choice regarding the vaccine, could help blur the traditional political alliances and help to make way for a new paradigm in NYC, and who knows, maybe across our country.
Here's what I am getting at: The right wing conservative republican voters who are most vocal about Forced Vaccinations are finding allies in the most vocal Left communities. The enormous march at Colombia University against the University's low pay and Forced Vaccinations shares the goal of government out of our private lives.
Banning abortion is certainly a violation of Our Bodies, Our Choice and its effectiveness in dividing Left from Right just may be coming to an end.
If we can disrupt the traditional alliances and forge a People's Party on shared goals, Our Gaols, not Their Goals, change is possible.

I wouold not hold my breath on any of that.
When used by the right, that phrase is used sardonically, to attempt to imply hypocrisy and maybe inculcate cognitive dissonance in "libruls". The reality is that you cannot make them do what they don't want to, the overarching right-wing "right" governing all things. The rhetoric isn't really the true reason, but simply part of the argument.
Not to them, because the only relevant body, the "baby", has no voice in the matter. It is the baby's choice, not the mother's, and it is being denied that choice. It is not part of nor "owned" by the incubator, it is a baby, at all times, and as such 1) has a right to live, 2) is the victim of murder if not allowed to be born. Beyond that, this is beyond earthly law, this is GOD's will, this is holy writ and trumps all other considerations that one may be evil and sinful enough to try to apply.

Perhaps an open thread for all things medical is a good idea. Seems we are on our own now when it comes to medical issues. I am sure many here have volumes of health discovery, as it seem like the new way to understand health issues is to do-it-yourself, look it up, find options that may work for
you, then prescribe possible solutions.
Common knowledge is not so common anymore regrettably.
It may be a good idea to post an open thread dealing with health issues.
I am not a certified medical doctor, but I know how to source answers.

Don't feel bad, I lost this OT, twice this morning.
The scheduler didn't post it, so I had to try twice
to manually publish it. Got here in the end.
Some weeks I have no problems then there are
others when I'm not sure I'll ever get the OT up. In this case misery truly loves company. I figured I didn't know all that's needed to do it smoothly every time. But somehow something gets snagged up, and it's actually work.

all confuser systems are buggie. Sometime it takes a while to sort it out. Best to save your work in a word processor program, just in case. I use Open Office which works well for text.

Nobody at the office realized tomorrow was a holiday, so I decided to let my asst. off for the day, and I will handle the 2 appointments, instead of cancelling them. I think one of them, for sure, is a good case. I am trying to make money while it is still viable and spendable.
We are in the low 70s as high, mid 50s as over night lows. But it is Texas. We might have a week long ice storm. I have seen it happen...
We will shop for a generator this weekend. One never knows when a generator keeps the fridge and freezer on, maybe the computers. Sigh, if it isn't one thing, it is another.
