Today all nine Omani students attending UNK celebrated National Day with several faculty and students. Scheduling events on a Friday is dicey because UNK is a suitcase school. The Omani students appreciated the fact that we filled the space they had reserved for the celebration, and a good time was had by all. This was the first such celebration as these students arrived on campus less than one year ago.

          During the next few semesters the student population from Oman is expected to grow. At least in Kearney, Islamic students are safer than in some other places in the good ol' USofA. Or, as we used to say in the old usenet days, "Your mileage may vary."
