Neo-Cons toppled a dictator then abandoned a country to chaos

A decision was made to remove a dictator in Libya

The New York Times published two lengthy pieces this week detailing Hillary Clinton’s role in the 2011 NATO bombing of Libya. Both are important documents, and provide much insight into how, as secretary of state for the Obama administration, Clinton played a uniquely hands-on role in the war.

The Times spoke of “Clinton’s deep belief in America’s power to do good in the world,” but did not stress that this belief is rooted in an aggressive militarism. It did quote French President Sarkozy, who fondly remembered how the secretary of state “was tough, she was bullish,” but the Times’ reporting understated Clinton’s belligerence.

Aggressive militarism: Confirmed by her recent statements wrt Syria

Then we leave a crime against humanity to flourish

Hundreds of African refugees and migrants passing through Libya are being bought and sold in modern-day slave markets before being held for ransom, forced labour or sexual exploitation, survivors have told the UN's migration agency.

The International Organisation for Migration (IOM) said on Tuesday that it had interviewed West African migrants who recounted being traded in garages and car parks in the southern city of Sabha, one of Libya's main people smuggling hubs.

People are purchased for between $200 and $500 and are held on average for two or three months, Othman Belbeisi, head of the IOM's Libya mission, said in Geneva.

We spend tens of trillions of dollars building up our Imperial forces.

Countless hours planning for the fall of our enemies.

Our politicians and press by a massive majority cheer on our latest Imperial venture, note the ongoing slavering expectations about bombing Syria.

Then:

We spend no time at all trying to solve the wreckage we leave behind.

Our politicians and press move on the the next thrilling instalment of the Empire Strikes Yet Again.

We shredded a nation then walked away as if the lives of those we left to pick up the shattered pieces mean nought. As if their humanity is of no import whatsoever, a lesser race as it were, beings of no consequence.

They we will then turn around and ask "why do they hate us" if "we are that bad why do they want to come here". Forgetting the shattered chaotic scorched earth we left behind, forgetting the will to survive and the hopes for a better life.

Their justification for this global blitzkrieg? We are exceptional.

Every time we vote for the "least bad" we fuel willingly the carnival of carnage. There is no difference between the oligarchs duopoly where the rest of the world is concerned.

Our shining city on the hill? It's merely floodlit by the glare of our outgoing missiles.

Cheer them on at the start of the carnage, hide from the results, then if need be the circuses can take up the slack to drown out the cries of suffering.

Move On.

Don't look back

Deny everything

Onto the joys and excitement of the next war!

I weep.

in the DAPL through graveyards and under rivers. We started with the genocide of our native peoples and the enslavement and importation of Africans...sadly it appears we are fulfilling our manifest destiny...of greed and cruelty and arrogance.

What I find most appalling is our absolute blindness and denial.

I've laughed heartedly at the reports that we are considering moving nuclear weapons into south korea.

civil police forces in the entire world. The Department of Homeland Security was not, nor ever was, designed to protect from an enemy from without. It is designed to ensure the status quo remains secure. There will be no Maidan's in America.

How America’s Police Became an Army: The 1033 Program
As many have noted, Ferguson, Missouri, currently looks like a war zone. And its police—kitted out with Marine-issue camouflage and military-grade body armor, toting short-barreled assault rifles, and rolling around in armored vehicles—are indistinguishable from soldiers.

America has been quietly arming its police for battle since the early 1990s.
...
Given the proliferation of military weapons and military training among America’s police departments, the use of military force and military tactics is not surprising. When your only tool is a hammer, after all, every problem looks like a nail.

It was the doctrine of the "Responsibility To Protect" courtesy of Samantha Power with full support of Shill and BO.

Interestingly enough, it was the evil Putin who asked WTF do you think you're doing? You're pulling the plug to chaos. Of course, he was sadly mistaken. Libya is such a much better place now. And for some reason, BO/HC/SP never ever explored further interventions based on the holy"Responsibility To Protect". Though there were many more interventions and escalations because war.

Funny that. Yes?

advocates in DKos, to no avail. History has shown that myself and a number of others were proved to be correct. I haven't heard a peep from them since it went sour. Just another war based on lies and deception which has killed upwards of 30,000 people and shattered a country that will take generations to recover. The enablers simply look away and pretend they had nothing to do with the carnage.

British Parliament Confirms Libya War Was Based On Lies … Turned Nation Into a “Shit Show” … Spread Terrorism

Parliamentary Report Confirms What the Alternative Media Has Been Saying for Years

The UK Parliament just confirmed what the alternative media has been saying for years.

Specifically, a new report from the bipartisan House of Commons Foreign Affairs Committee – based on interviews with all of the key British decision-makers, review of documents, and on-the-ground investigations in Africa – found that the Libyan war was based on lies, that it destroyed the country, and that it spread terrorism far and wide.

The powers that be in Washington must know this would be the result if several dozen of us peons were able to assess that would be even before it started. Therefore, one can only surmise that the people who run the show are psychopaths and got exactly the results they wanted.

@CB that after years of railing vs war on ToP - Iraq, Afghan, etc and the hidden agenda of BO to kill at will with the full support of the MSM that aside from Big Al and Allenjo and a few others, they just don't care. There are no real Progressives or DFH's left there. There is no anti-war movement anywhere anymore which is so horribly sad.

My two best moments: when OPOL followed me and I finally figured out what BOHICA meant.

Psychopathy is not a political position, whether labeled 'conservatism', 'centrism' or 'left'.

A tin labeled 'coffee' may be a can of worms or pathology identified by a lack of empathy/willingness to harm others to achieve personal desires.
