and the Dems, I don't think Bernie owed her or them a darn thing. I don't pin any great hopes on a nice progressive Democratic platform, because as was pointed in in the gut-retching Republican platform meeting that ran today during breaks in the Loretta Lynch hearing, a platform is pretty much just a marketing piece; tuition, public option, yada yada - it's just like the great architect renderings of the clubhouse and pool that never end up being built in the swindle to sell you a time share in Democratic Palookaville.

Who will be surprised when shortly after the election it's all oops! sorry, money ran out, we decided on a nice little war instead, the banks needed another bailout, we got sidetracked with this great trade deal, etc. ?

I would have preferred that Bernie have just waited it out through the convention, especially since every day holds the potential for another dropping Clinton shoe. Plus, I am concerned about the Democrats lowering their standards by even thinking of allowing all the racist/sexist/misogynist Bernie voters (back) into their tent. After all the things they said about us, I for one don't even want to be part of a club that would accept such an assortment of pathologies just to hustle some votes - even racist/sexist/misogynists have standards!

This was inspired by what is allegedly the funniest joke of all time (I'm not convinced, but it works here).

Now that Bernie has endorsed Hillary, Bill takes her to a secluded spot for a little quiet time. The Secret Srevice detail goes off a discrete distance to provide them privacy.

Suddenly, a shot rings out. The head of the SS detail rushes up and sees Bill holding Hillary. "What happened?" he screams.

"A Bernie bro just killed Hillary from the trees," replies Big Dog.

"Killed Hillary? Are you certain?" asks the SS agent.

With that, Bill grabs the agent's gun and shoots Her. "I am now!" he declares.

that Bernie signed a contract with the DNC, which in part, requires him to endorse the nominee. Though I'll vote for Hillary Clinton when hell freezes over or longer if need be, I'm a little disappointed that some of you are ready to throw him to the dogs for keeping a contractual promise that he made when he joined the Democratic party, despite what he may really feel on the matter. A sticky wicket but he has proven himself yet again to be a man of his word.

Sure, I'd love to have seen Sanders run third party and fracture the DNC beyond recognition; that's the anarchist in me. However, as he has chosen to remain perceivably within the good graces of the DNC, he can do a great deal more to keep Grandma Yuppie perennially agitated by reminding her of what she concededto apply to the platform. I think this wise on his part, as no matter what, the established, criminally insane, fucked up, neoliberal DNC will never, ever let Bernie Sanders or anyone remotely similar become the nominee. Like it or hate it, he could not win a third party run. Critical mass has not yet been achieved.

Keep in mind, Bernie Sanders is a man far past his prime in life and not getting any younger, who could have sat on the sidelines while remaining a career Senator (which he'll continue) eventually retiring doing little more than give largely unheard speeches at universities, fading away to a life of dumb-assery such as Howard Dean. The energy required to run a campaign is phenomenal at any age, not to mention against all odds; the odds being greater than I imagined re: All the now exposed election fraud.

I don't wish to be dismissive of anyone's hurt or anger as it is an emotionally charged situation and these feelings are valid but I think it rash to make decisions based purely on emotions. I won't vote for Clinton but I'm damn sure not going to hate Sanders.

The domestic platform is shit. What planet do you live on?

There is no political solution to fix our system, it is too far broken. The tentacles of corruption run too deep.

The spike violence we have been witnessing recently is only the tip of the iceberg.

Sanders himself has signaled his position as well. There was a TYT interview that he gave back in late March where he discussed what would happen if he was not the nominee and what it would take to support Clinton.

I don't have any problem with people who say they aren't going to vote for Clinton -- especially if the choice is Green. I can understand that choice. Clinton is a liar, she is one of the more corrupt candidates to run for president. I have serious reservations about a number of the people who are in her inner circle.

Still, I don't see how Trump is a viable option. A couple months ago, I was willing to entertain the possibility, but it's clear that he's running a joke of a campaign, and even more troubling, the kind of people that he's talked about filling positions in his administration are arguably worse on balance than Clinton's people. Gingrich, Palin, Christie, Mike Pence?

If the vote is close I'll have a hard decision. If it isn't I'll vote Green. No money, no volunteer hours for Clinton. There are much more deserving candidates downballot who have done a lot more to earn the support of small donors. I can't say that I'm really surprised or disappointed. I think Sanders candidacy has already served a purpose. His candidacy shined a light on the Democratic Party and the national media in a way that wouldn't have happened absent his run -- and he's one of the few politicians who had the profile and credibility to offer that contrast. This move is also consistent with his career, and even with this move, he's probably the most popular Democrat in America right now, and at least he can have an influence downballot.
