Yet, the Bushies and the Clinton (Albright ;-( ) and the Obamanaster couldn't get shit done after decades. And the Demorats are outraged (speaking of TDS, looking at you Rachel)

future first born North Korean males will be exported to work in Trump hotels; the U.S. sanctions on North Korea will continue for ten years when there will be a review on how well those first born performed in Trump hotels; the military exercises will continue until the U.S. does conquer the world; and the removal of U.S. troops from the peninsula will happen when hell freezes over.

I think it's a step Trump and his team think they need to take, similar to the Iran "deal" however the difference is N. Korea does have nukes and the U.S. has 40K troops and hardware stationed right on their border. Plus, they're just getting started going after China and no way they'll give up that strategic location on the Korean peninsula. Can't see Kim agreeing to what Trump might offer.
I think they need to make it look like they tried to negotiate so they can justify other steps. Plus it can serve to diffuse the South/North moves and try to guide it in the most favorable direction.
What a radical idea
that a sitting POTUS should meet with leaders of other countries, especially those who possess nuclear weapons.
Détente? Rapprochement? Engage in actual diplomacy between sovereign nations, in a cooperative effort among equals?
