Hillary's lead is now razor-thin

It appears that there some small amount of price to pay for ignoring/disregarding security procedures.

Clinton had been criticized for mishandling classified information and for her administration's reckless treatment of sensitive information. While about eight in 10 of all voters agree that Clinton's use of an email server was "inappropriate," this number also includes nearly seven in 10 of her own supporters.

So what sort of political price is that?

The outlier is the reuters poll. Every other post-FBI report poll shows this as too close to call.

No really

Amid boos from the sidelines, allies of Hillary Clinton and President Obama on Saturday beat back an effort by the Bernie Sanders campaign to have the Democratic Party officially oppose a congressional vote on the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade deal.

BTW, I've renamed the major parties in the good ol' US of A. We now have the Sucktastic Party and the Evil of Banality Party (an intentional play on the phrase "banality of evil"). I leave it as an exercise for the reader to determine which is which.

the national polls are useless when they're this close (a 10 point spread tells us something). We really need state level polling in battleground states to know what the EC looks like.

Party foul: Voters defecting from their traditional sides

With less than a week until the Republican National Convention, election watchers see an unexpected trend, with voters threatening to jump party lines. The Republican Party is even underfunding its grassroots efforts for the 2016 White House race.
In Aurora, Colorado, a diehard Democrat in his 70s is planning to cast his first-ever ballot for a Republican candidate, and a lifelong Republican in her 50s is planning to vote for Hillary Clinton “because she can’t bring herself to support Donald Trump,” according to the Wall Street Journal.

One thing about the right, they are only slightly more motivated and less whiney than the left. I would think both sides would be fleeing into the arms of a third party screaming.

I expect Gary Johnson/Bill Weld to do quite well this time around. I expect the same for Jill Stein. The two party duopoly is imploding like crazy, and none too soon, but it's gonna be ugly. Let's hope the demise is quick and totalanyway, and that there are good structures in place to take us forward.

Even a very small donation would make a statement.

I read somewhere that the Greens are being inundated with new volunteers today. I don't think I'm able to volunteer but I did make a donation.

I would love Jill to be able to say that a gajillion people donated to the Greens today.

" “Human kindness has never weakened the stamina or softened the fiber of a free people. A nation does not have to be cruel to be tough.” FDR "

The final last fuck-you power play from the Clinton Crime Family. It would certainly be appropriate to end their rocky, corrupt, lying, thieving political careers by leaving us with a President Trump. There is so much pent up anger against the Democratic Party, Clinton, Obama and Hillary, that America would rather have a Carnival Barker for President, who can channel that anger.

Are Democrats really that stupid? --- Yes
Are Democrats so power hungry that they would let a political grifter be the standard bearer? --- Yes
Are Democrats without any principles that they would buy Neoliberal economics? --- Yes
Are Democrats so indifferent to the effects of war that they would buy Neocon warmongering? -- Yes
Are Democrats so callous about well paying jobs in the US that they would seek bad trade agreements? -- Yes

So why do we give a fuck about the Democratic Party? We have to do our own thing. The lesson that I took
away from Bernie's run is that young Americans are hungry for change, and that's change to the Left. That huge
sucking sound is Bernie leaving the building, with a giant political vacuum behind.

The conclusion that we are about to realize in the C99 community is that to continue the revolution we have to
dump Bernie.

And America will finish the job on Hillary.

Clinton's Lead Over Trump Shrinks Again In Weekly Tracking Poll

Hillary Clinton's lead over Donald Trump decreased in the NBC News/Survey Monkey weekly tracking poll for the second week in a row, according to the poll released Tuesday morning.

Clinton now leads Trump by three points, 47-44, down from a five point lead over Trump in last week's tracking poll.

More fallout

Hillary Clinton has emerged from the F.B.I. investigation into her email practices as secretary of state a wounded candidate with a large and growing majority of voters saying she cannot be trusted, according to the latest New York Times/CBS News poll.

As Mrs. Clinton prepares to accept the Democratic Party’s nomination at the convention in Philadelphia this month, she will confront an electorate in which 67 percent of voters say she is not honest and trustworthy. That number is up five percentage points from a CBS News poll conducted last month, before the F.B.I. released its findings.

Mrs. Clinton’s six-percentage-point lead over the presumptive Republican nominee, Donald J. Trump, in a CBS News poll last month has evaporated. The two candidates are now tied in a general election matchup, the new poll indicates, with each receiving the support of 40 percent of voters.
