I figured you were working on the site today. I had a brief period of error messages when trying to access. I sure appreciate your work on our behalf to host and manage the C99 community.
I could be persuaded to do a What Are You Reading? open thread on Fridays ... using excerpts from my personal reading, THE SUN & ORION & SOJOURNERS etc

I’m always interested in what people are interested in reading. I still read the one on DK because I’m looking for something new to read instead of rereading the ones I have because I keep buying duds.

Which AIPAC/MIC/pharma/bank bought politician are you going to vote for? Don’t be surprised when nothing changes.

I’d forgotten about the telegram exchange between Bertie and Aunt Dahlia. Funny stuff.
Do you recall the story when Jeeves left Bertie when Bertie took up the ukulele, and Bertie somehow got stranded in the countryside in black face? While not a very politically correct story line in these times, for anyone invested in the history of the Wooster-Jeeves relationship, I can’t remember when I laughed harder reading a book. Wodehouse. The man was a genius with comical prose.
#2.2.1
is up to seven episodes now (a new one goes up once a week).

Contrary to what some may be thinking...
I am still alive.
Glad to hear that!

I love these playing for change clips. Thanks for the imagination to create the site. This is from last month.

I’m making a note here, “Huge success”
It’s hard to overstate my satisfaction.

I'd enjoy that
I can re-read Wodehouse only so many times.

You just reminded me to re-read my collection of Wodehouse

Seems like a good place to ask
about NC Tim, who used to do Friday open thread. Does anyone know if he is all right?
Can't you write a shell script to cough up some pithy

Friday is a great spot for a beginner
It's a slow relaxed day. You can try new things. No pressure.
A pretty good mood over all.
Hey, you lurkers out there!
I'm looking at you.
If ever there was a great time to jump into the pool, this is it! You would be a most welcome sight. Don't make me name names.
