Apologies for the hit and run. Have been perusing Twitter throughout the day and this story is developing and is now the top trending item there. Haven't read the "official" report from the lame-o Politico or the alleged savage takedown in the Wapo. Thought this was representative of many

of the things we loathe about the Duopoly's cravenness, greed and viciousness. The way a bipartisan effort can be put together at the drop of a hat, on behalf of their donors' interests alone, to sanction anyone challenging the status quo.

It appears this courageous, diminutive black, female Muslim has been extraordinarily renditioned to a proverbial cell block in DC, by Democrats, for persecution in daring to call out what has been sooooo long overdue. Which is that AIPAC has had an outsized, thuggish influence over all American politics for too long.

It's also just another in what seems to be many implicit messages of late to the burgeoning socialist wing of the Democratic Party that they'd better stay in line or the PTB will coming down on them. Well, fuck these people.

If this is allowed to stand it bodes really badly for anyone who wishes to end the MIC, finally frontally challenge American imperialism and who want to usher in a new era of peace and

When you have your government tell you that you can't boycott Israeli products because Israel makes them pass legislation against it then I think Omar has a point. Who is putting pressure on congress to silence her?

Democrats were very quick to censor Omar for her Benjamins comment, but I haven't seen them criticize the West Virginia GOP for the anti Muslim poster. AIPAC proved Omar correct

AIPAC and the Dem party have proven Ilhan Omar was absolutely correct in what she said, by their actions since. The Dems proved they are tools of AIPAC more than the people. A hundred million a year goes a long way. What do we say of those that flip out when their behavior is questioned? That is the type of people we are dealing with. AIPAC is unregistered foreign agents writing our legislation. This or the anti-BDS laws, it is the same BS'ing bullies.

on Daily Kos who was Jewish but highly critical of Israel? He ran into a whole LOT of accusations of anti-semitism by the Kos bots. I tried to defend him when I could. He finally disappeared.

The US has always had a supportive role when it came to Israel, but since the Christian thugs have come into power over the last 20 years, that political support has morphed into a religious frenzy. The anti-BDS crap only proves that our government is willing to suspend our Constitution in order to please a foreign government. Ilhan is right on the mark.

He's writes. I bought his book. His wife was nearly killed by a terrorist bomb left in a backpack in the cafeteria at the university he and his wife attended in Jerusalem. His grace and forgiveness are like he's a freaking super hero. He writes of how the blast affected his wife physically and mentally (it was bad!), yet he doesn't want revenge, and even felt empathy for the bomber and his family.
