and just went back to offer more support. I succumbed to temptation in a couple of places there myself. Must try to improve discipline and refrain--stick to reading and recs only. It now feels like hostile territory to me.

I'd rec this, too, if I hadn't been banished. It's reasonable and they pride themselves on being such.
My frustration of the last 20 hours or so has led me to some lousy generalizations. They could be right or wrong or in between. It really seems like the Clinton supporters' primary need is to feel correct and certain on enough positions that differentiate them from obvious evils. For example, many of my Clinton friends are passionately against guns, filling my Facebook feed with examples of preventable gun deaths. They never question the fact that no one actually supports gun deaths. They never actually question our use of the military to extend our violence throughout the world. They never question our horrifying and stubborn reliance on the death penalty. Such complex issues are for actual liberals to spend our time worrying about and conceiving solutions for, as long as we never point out their hypocrisy.
Silly armchair "liberals" of comfort and convenience. They won't worry about our support. They don't worry about anything that is not inside the box. Everything else is just part of a sexist right wing conspiracy.
I'm recently banished from Clinton as well. I'm wishing I'd never hugged KOS at NRN in Detroit. Now I feel infected with neoliberalism that I need medical marijuana for or something.

I'll definitely need a big clothespin on Election Day if HRC is the Dem choice.
