well wishes, sadly it wasn't a vacation but a whole bunch of moving of the furnishings out of the office to shampoo the carpet, which hasn't been done in years, and then waiting for it to dry before I could get back in here. The reasonably portable furnishings are moved, but the 'puter and its towering hutch, plus filing cabinet are treated a quasi-permanent, so I'm locked out until the carpet is dry again and the movables are replaced. Luckily (or not) a mini-heat wave conjoined with a 30" floor fan got me back in here in record time.
