Donald Trump and his little WaPo Inquisition

https://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/post-partisan/wp/2016/03/21/a-trans...

Yikes.

You have to give him credit. He did show up. He did answer questions. Perhaps not the question that was asked, but he did answer. Unlike most of the GOP candidates who attended one of their political training sessions on how not to answer tough questions, Teh Don simply plows through them while always returning to his self-promoting self. In a key interview. With the top WaPo political editors and writers. On the record. (Insert image of my slow shaking of head here)

Here is my take from the 3/21 in person interview. Donald Trump is a sleazy, egotistical, narsiscist who thinks every minute offers him a chance to sell himself and to swindle his target.

His list of foreign advisors would make Dick Cheney salivate. These are not merely neoConMen, this reptilian collection of hideous ideas will promote wars started by us, for our profit. Well, not yours and mine, but a select few in the MIC.

His wishes for changing libel laws would have been laughable (any HS student writing an answer like that in his history or sociology class would have earned a failing grade, much less a college grad or law student), but for the fact that he will wrestle that change for his benefit.

At one point, he even denied that protestors were being beaten. He repeatedly claimed the protestors were the ones inflicting violence. When pressed on his alleged (?) offer to pay legal fees, he claimed no memory of the event. Therefore it did not happen? Luckily, they changed the subject.

Overall, one cannot help but be struck how shallow, how insubstantial his answers were, even when it was clear that he spent significant time on the subject.

If you were to sketch out his basic programming in a diagram, his responses would always follow this approach.

A. I am great and will get things done

B. "X" is horrible and I will deal better with them and change things.

C. "Y" is great and they have/are/will work with me well.

D. I am great and will get thinks done

E. Because.

It is worth your time to read the entire interview. The idea that he may be one election from the presidency will keep you up at nights.

Any way, this is how he finished.

Rubio said, ‘Donald Trump has small hands and therefore he has small something else.’ I didn’t say that. And all I did is when he failed, when he was failing, when he was, when Christie made him look bad, I gave him the – a little recap and I said, and I said, and I had this big strong powerful hand ready to grab him, because I thought he was going to faint. And everybody took it fine. Whether it was presidential or not I can't tell you.

If this election comes down to Trump vs. Hillary, I'll cast my vote for Jill Stein and silently root for Trump, as awful as he is, to take Hillary down...

Sorry, but the rampant AZ voter fraud last night was a complete mockery of our so-called "democracy", and if it refuses to be saved, maybe the best thing to do is to tear it down and start over again.

This has to be the first time where he spent serious time with serious pros, asking serious questions. But Trump is the epitome of a bully, and therefore is incapable of any heavy lifting or serious thinking. Even Rubio would have given more substantial answers.

It is a very difficult read. Maybe Trump is the stalking horse for Hillary?

Do I hear the sound of guillotines being constructed?

“Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable." ~ President John F. Kennedy

I have a friend who is convinced of that. Seems plausible, except Trump is too enamoured of himself and true to form to be doing something like that for the Clintons.

The idea of President Trump is pretty scary. His success reflects the level of public education and political savvy of the larger American population. Stupid is as stupid does.

Churchill said, "The best argument against democracy is a five-minute conversation with the average voter." Of course he also said, “Democracy is the worst form of government, except for all the others.”

I keep coming back to the idea that the electorate's ignorance lies at the foot of the MSM. They want citizens misinformed to do their corporate bidding, and created Trump with their 24/7 coverage (while blacking out Bernie).

What's worse: President Trump or President Clinton? I'm sad to say I'm not sure.

“Until justice rolls down like water and righteousness like a mighty stream.”

My sleep is already troubled by thoughts about Trump and the Clintons. I use the plural for the Clintons because it's pretty damned obvious Bill will be deeply involved in a Hillary presidency. Obviously, Trump is by far the worst of the 3, but all of them are driven by unbridled greed and ambition, coupled with a total lack of ethics.

unilaterally without proper authority and both side will rise together to impeach him. I say this not because those in power will necessarily agree or disagree with whatever the edict is, but because all the things they have asserted about President Obama becoming a dictator will become true under Trump and they will recognize that they have to actually act if they want to preserve their own power and part in the process. Plus, the Republican Party doesn't want him, so they will not be driven to preserve him.

It's all like a real version of Jackasswipes. (Never saw the movie, but I can extrapolate.)
