"Discipline" for Kunduz War Crime: The motherfucking definition

of a slap on the wrist.

From the LA Times:

The Pentagon has disciplined 16 service members for mistakes that led to the deadly airstrike on a Doctors Without Borders hospital in northern Afghanistan last fall, but no one will face criminal charges.

One officer was suspended from command and ordered out of Afghanistan. The others were given lesser punishments: Six were sent to counseling, seven were issued letters of reprimand, and two were ordered to retraining courses.

Counseling... stern letters... retraining... the ever-dreaded free trip home. Fucking speechless. None of us expected a different outcome, but it still hurts every time we have to watch empowered criminals walk away laughing. As Dylan sang in a similar context:

Bury the rag deep in your face
For now is the time for your tears.

The Amerikan military are the true super-predators Hillary.

Standard procedure in this type of case for the Army at least is to token slap a few officers, and ROYALLY screw over a few non-coms or below for whatever they can get them on in order to show that they take this kind of thing seriously.

So, to me, it sounds like the military honestly doesn't care about the casualties on this one. Which is pathetic.

There is, as of yet, NO evidence of who carried out the strikes (and if anyone believes one fucking word that the "Syrian Observatory of Human Rights" puts out, I can only say just Google who this one-man operation is). The history of accusations against Assad in the past have a very, shall we say, spotty record (not that he's a humanitarian or perfect, but FFS, can we have some truth?) In addition, can we have some "outrage" at the failed plans and weaponization of jihadi groups to overthrow yet another once-stable government in the ME to assist our bestest apartheid-loving allies, Israel?

From PressTV:

Russia and Syria have dismissed accusations that their warplanes had targeted a hospital northwestern city of Aleppo, with Moscow suggesting that the US-led coalition was responsible for the incident.

In a statement Thursday, the Ministry said that Moscow had conducted no airstrikes in Aleppo in recent days.

"According to our information, on the evening of April 27, for the first time after a long break, there was a plane over Aleppo that belonged to one” of the members of the US-led coalition purporting to fight Takfiri Daesh terrorists, the ministry statement read.

It behooves internet-savvy Americans to read more broadly than US Coalition-allied propaganda organizations. I have yet to find any similar denials from the US or any of its coalition members anywhere.

that this air strike on the Doctors Without Borders hospital was an accident. I believe that this strike was deliberate which is why a few lower ranking military personnel were disciplined. They were the sacrificial lambs for the cover up.

What happened in Kunduz was not an accident under any scenario. It was a war crime. Internal investigations such as the one conducted here are done simply as a means to mitigate and cover up the real crime.

Where’s the respect for basic humanity and international law?

Like a xenomorph in the Alien movies, Nazi-style disregard for decency, humanity, and justice re-emerges from the the breast and bowels of the Allies who thought they won World War II.

Obama. That's the sick part. And the real super-predators are the corporate and financial billionaires and corporations marauding the earth for more wealth and power.
Then again, we can put it on ourselves also for allowing this shit. Americans are super-predators, deranged manifest destiny seeking, 15 bucks an hour demanding warmongers to the rest of the world.
