The Crumb Concession Has Closed
So first, this, from David Plouffe:

Okaaaaay.
I have to wonder if Plouffe really even thinks this or that this is the new political strategy from the Establishment (which includes, but is not limited, to the Hillary Clinton campaign). In other words, now is the time to play the old fashioned game of political "hardball."
I say old fashioned, because the Internet acts as an obstacle to this kind of strategy. We've seen over and over again the entire array of Establishment Media pounding these "hardball" memes and the speed and savvy of social media activists bash that ball right back at 'em.
The other objective is more successful when it comes to this strategy - by making these endless mudslinging attacks, that energy creates a distraction from the actual issues in this country that are causing suffering not only here but all over the world.
Because it is indeed painful to witness this suffering, many otherwise thoughtful people are vulnerable to this distraction.
So now the crumb concession is closed unless those of us who are in the political revolution cave to the demands of the Establishment Powers That Be.
We get no crumbs until we fall in line.
After we fall in line, the crumbs will continue to fall down from the richly laden table of the Empire.
We are pretty much being told that by not having any crumbs at all, we'll long for the crumb days and that will subvert our will into compliance. We will crave the crumbs in their absence.
Nom nom. There was a burger joint back in Milwaukee (don't remember the name, maybe "Red Barn?") whose motto was "a treat in eatin' you'll keep repeatin'". For some reason that has become a mantra to me to use in various absurd circumstances. Tho, alas, we will not be getting burgers for our vote, oh no.
Funny, the Democratic Establishment never knew how to hardball the repubs when it came to legislation - Obama and the Dem Congress were all too happy to pre-compromise.
But with their own left flank, well that's another story entirely. Says something about kissing up and kicking down.

Another deaf partisan, they really don't get it, it's not just
the person, it's the ideals.
They do and they don't.
I don't believe Plouffe is passionately believing his own words - they're just his way of attack, sounds plausible (at least in his mind) and along with a zillion other attacks, it adds to the energy of the negativity.
I've done it myself from the other side while engaging in trench blogfare in the past. It's a strategy - and to even entertain what that particular meme says makes it successful by providing distraction to the real issues.
Trouble is, it doesn't take very long nowadays to debunk and go right back to the issues. So there's that.

A few months ago on his show "the Axe Files" Axelrod was waxing poetic about mentors in politics the Dick Durbin. They both spoke about their "role models" and people of principle and integrity, while lamenting the money and lobbyists: now Axelrod is a soundbite of repugnant hypocricy. I don't buy for a moment that they aren't thrilled with the riches to be had selling out the folks who elected them. They have the skinny on climate change and have had for decades: its every narcissist for themselves.
Bernie Sanders
has the same principled character of the folks they valued as mentors. Funny that . . . they have missed the mark for humanity and their oath of office . . . if there even is such a thing anymore.

Being told we really are so very valuable to the Party and that our views are really really respected and, honest, right when they stop spending the majority of their day with their rich donors, they'll take a minute or two while peeing to ponder how they can help us.

Senator Sanders is playing the game honorably. It is, however, a game with no moral or ethical rules as played by the DLCers and other RW greedheads.
I would like Bernie to stick to a couple of ideas in additional to his tailoring his speeches to the audience before him. I personally think Clinton's $5000 per minute speaking fee - and nothing of substance emerging about what was in the speeches - is something that will resonate with those of us who tend to live from check to check.

It seems odd that Plouffe would make this charge because it
causes people like me to shift into high gear to disprove it. In this case for a candidate who has an enormous FBI investigation dangling over her head like a Sword of Damacles, and well as a swamp of Clinton Foundation irregularities and apparent conflicts of interest if not outright appearances of influence peddling and public corruption, bringing up the idea of "impossible paths to the nomination" is probably not his best move. ]
HRC net favorable plunged 11% last month with here negatives up to 56%. If it continues to fall at this rate she'll be up there with Trump by next month.
So lets imagine the FBI report is leaked, or the awareness of the Clinton Foundation reaches the tipping point, then maybe we have a 75% to 25% or more in California. Wouldn't that make up about 250 delegates just there?
So then the super-delegates flip. BINGO! We have a path to the nomination. And one that is continuous with current trends.
I know this is not how we want to win, however, I'm just illustrating that those who say he has not path and that it is impossible have not thought about the obvious black swam scenarios or considered their probability in their mathematical models.

Since the candidates were announced on both sides I picked my my choices, Trump for the R's and Bernie for the win.
My feeling is that we need to burn the Democratic Party down to the ground. If it takes Trump to do it, then oh well.
Every intelligent person I know is on the same wavelength. That includes teenagers, young adults and us middling and old codgers. Bern it the fuck down. Hillary can't be allowed to succeed. So either Trump wins or there is such a groundswell for a write in, shit happens. Hillary gets in, the die is cast and we are fucked.
