Court Ruling About Emails and more - Two Articles
From POLITICO
Wow - Huma's really having a day, isn't she? I hear she's up in a Clinton compound somewhere away from the glaring eyes of the media through this storm...
Judge orders State to review, turn over Abedin-related documents
This is regarding the Judicial Watch suit about Huma Abedin's employment status while she was at State and also working for the Clintons privately, for the Foundaiton and for Teneo all at once. This is Judge Sullivan's case.
U.S. District Court Judge Emmet Sullivan ruled that the State Department has until Sept. 30 to complete its own review of documents that the department received from the FBI. The State Department then has another two weeks, until Oct. 14, to hand over all "non-exempt" documents to the conservative group Judicial Watch, which filed the freedom of information suit.
The lawsuit concerns Abedin’s employment status while Clinton was Secretary of State, specifically the longtime Clinton aide’s transition from her role as deputy chief of staff to a part-time job as a “special government employee.” That unusual designation allowed Abedin to do paid work for a consulting firm and the Clinton Foundation in addition to her duties at the State Department.
AND RNC GETS INTO THE ACT This is an extra-judicial effort, Preibus says 'pretty please.'
RNC to Clinton Foundation: Release State Dept. emails
The Republican National Committee on Monday called on the Clinton Foundation to release all correspondence its officials had with the State Department while Hillary Clinton was in charge of the agency.
“The Clinton Foundation can play a vital role in filling important gaps in the public record by demonstrating its commitment to transparency and making public all correspondence its officials had with the State Department during Secretary Clinton’s tenure,” RNC Chairman Reince Priebus wrote in the letter, addressed to foundation President Donna Shalala. “This should be done by an independent, neutral third party so the public can have confidence in the findings.”
“Because we know that federal records are incomplete through Mrs. Clinton’s failure to comply with federal records retention policies, the records in the foundation’s custody have the unique ability to buttress or undercut her assertions on this matter,” Priebus added. “The American people have the right to see a full picture of Secretary Clinton’s record, which she claims to be proud of, before they go to the polls to choose their next president.”
Who wants to bet he gets anywhere with this? I suspect the reply (if there is one) will tell him exactly where he can stick it.

How Come The Democrats Never Lead Such Charges?
Poor Huma! Between her adolescent hubby and her untrustable boss, she's now (sort of) in the same place that Monica Lewinsky was. She's emotionally distraught, loosened from her anchors, and the target of a politically-charged investigation. I'm sure her assailants believe she will crack if they can put on enough pressure.

Heard on CNN during drive time.
That Clinton campaign staffers had noticed that Huma had stopped wearing her wedding ring awhile ago.
Huma's also not on the campaign (probably more accurate to say fund raiser) trail today, although she was yesterday.
How will Hillary manage without her? Why, she may actually have to answer her own phone.
Edited for clarity
Who?
You DO mean Huma and not HER going about sans wedding band, correct? I don't recall seeing one on HER finger for a long time now either.

Sorry; yes, Huma.
Edited comment for clarity.
Is it me, or is Huma a poor judge of character...
She married an idiot and works for a monomaniacal martinet.
She made Weiner's bed, so she'll have to lie in it.

She appears to be dazzled by power
I think in some respects, Huma wants Hillary to win even more than Hillary wants it. If Hillary loses (or flames out ahead of the election), at least she has the satisfaction of having pulled one over to the extent that she has already. Huma has the bulk of her future in front of her and would lose her rudder. A loss like that would either make her whither or become the next generation of Hillary.

I've come to believe
there's a lot more to Huma Abedin than anyone knows, really, save for some high-uppers in the NSA.
I remember thinking her unsure delivery of question answers during her JW depo was going to get her in trouble--looks like I'm not the only one thinking that.,,,
Addictions are hidden from even loved ones.
I'm not sure it is about whether or not Huma could judge her husband's character or not. Isn't the pattern of any addictive behavior that it gets hidden from those who love them?
True
But I would hazard a guess that there were/are other features of Weiner's persona that might have given pause.
But, anyway, his insistent need to display his 'willy' for all and sundry is certainly odd.

Hiding's easier when it's a long distance relationship.
They were married summer of 2010, when they both worked in DC.
Weiner had his first screw-up in summer 2011. My recollection from stuff I read about huma's triple dipping while at state is that he moved to NYC.
Their son was born dec 2011, and I know from emails & travel records that Huma was commuting from NYC to DC for her job in 2012.
Hillary's campaign started in spring/summer 2015, and god knows how much earlier she started fundraising. I have no idea how you you raise your son & deal with a troubled marriage with the travel schedule Huma would have on Hillary's campaign.
Politics, American style, is beyond the pale.
It’s not as terrible as in some other countries, but it’s definitely not among the top 10. If it isn’t one scandal (sexual, or otherwise) it is another. It’s as if its politics was a never-ending television series, but with real life consequences - a contestant for an academy award for best drama (or comedy), intended to keep the majority dumbly entertained. There are no judges of character, only personality contests.
Maybe THIS is the story they want to distract from?
Huma Abedin’s mom linked to shocking anti-women book
We in the US saw this observed in the San Bernardino terror shootings last December.
Yet our feminist presidential candidate did this:
Is Hillary in a contest with Trump to stick the presidency on the other?

What The Media Did Not Report: Here Is The "Ignored" Part Of Kaepernick's Speech

Colin Kaepernick has made headlines in recent days for his decision to sit during the National Anthem. According to the mainstream media, his reasoning is simple (because the only thing that is comprehendible to the majority of Americans is a soundbite) - police brutality and the oppression of people of color.
Implicit in that simple narrative is one thing unsaid - it's Trump's fault... and Hillary will fight the good fight to support black people.
However, if one took the time to actually read Kaepernick's full interview transcript, the narrative is very different, and not at all what the mainstream would like you to hear...
Colin Kaepernick (CK): People don’t realize what’s really going on in this country. There are a lot things that are going on that are unjust. People aren’t being held accountable for. And that’s something that needs to change. That’s something that this country stands for freedom, liberty and justice for all. And it’s not happening for all right now.
Media: Does the election year have anything to do with timing?
CK: It wasn’t a timing thing, it wasn’t something that was planned. But I think the two presidential candidates that we currently have also represent the issues that we have in this country right now.
Media: Do you want to expand on that?
CK: You have Hillary who has called black teens or black kids super predators, you have Donald Trump who’s openly racist. We have a presidential candidate who has deleted emails and done things illegally and is a presidential candidate. That doesn’t make sense to me because if that was any other person you’d be in prison. So, what is this country really standing for?
Media: It is a country that has elected a black president twice…
CK: It has elected a black president but there are also a lot of things that haven’t changed.

So, according to the football player, it's not just Trump that is racist, but so is Hillary, and - shockingly - should be in prison, while Barack Obama has failed in eight years to make any difference. And yes, all of that was ignored by the mainstream.
Because if played on CNN, questions might emerge..
