Chris Hedges "America: The Farewell Tour"

I am listening right now to Chris Hedges, who speaks at my favorite bookstore in Washington DC, one Amazon could never kill. I am a little nostalgic to the times I went there and listened to authors talking about their new books.

A can't get enough listening to Hedges. He is overflowing and full with truth talk and moral compassion. Just because you have some time over the weekend, enjoy it and labor yourself through the video...

Listen what he said about your founding fathers ... I won't give you the TC though ...it's well worth searching for it. Wink

When you build relationships and not electronically, but the way relationships only can be built, by person to person, and you build a community and carry out acts of resistance, that act of resistance is the best antidote to your despair.

Hoping for a little bit of sublime madness ...beyond the Labor Day Weekend.

PS I learned that Chris Hedges books are not translated into German. So, he is an unknown author here. I wished it weren't so.

Ralph Nader and Chris had a great conversation -

“I don’t think the collapse of empire is necessarily a negative. At this point, empire has become a deeply destructive force not only for our own country but globally. We see with endless warfare – seventeen years of warfare now in he Middle East – the inability of the corporate state to deal in a rational way with climate change or restrict or control the financial institutions that have become completely predatory and have already reconfigured the United States into an oligarchy, where it becomes impossible to vote against the interests of Goldman Sachs or Citibank or Raytheon or any of these other large corporations.” Chris Hedges, author of “America: The Farewell Tour”

China is already in place. As soon as the petrodollar falls China will accede ...at least that's my guess.

From oligarchy to oligarchy it seems.
