This is All We Got: Street Prophet's Thursday Coffee Hour (A Conservation and Art Diary)

Welcome to Thursday Coffee Hour. this is an open topic thread so help yourself to the goodies and sit a spell and let us know what is new with you. I am watching the news in North Dakota. I am there in spirit since it is impossible for me to be there in person. As part Cherokee I am proud that my people are there with our brothers and sisters trying to stop the desecration of our lands.

As an artist one thing that has been brought home to me is that this Earth is all we have. We have no where else to go. We don't have the technology to move the people of Earth to a new home.

No Visitor is going to come with advanced technology to help us clean up the messes we have made of the environment.

Rainfall is going to continue to hit but not always where we need it the most.

As the climate continues to change the weather will become more and more unpredictable.

We continue to pollute our water and land and the people responsible get away with it.

So as we watch Autumn come in we need to start thinking carefully about what we are doing.

How many winters do we have left before we destroy this planet beyond our ability to fix it?

I have just started to receive the first of the many bills from my July hospitalization for pneumonia. Needless to say I can't pay these. Any help you can provide by buying my art and jewelry and scarves would be greatly appreciated.

You can find prints of my artwork and photography on my Fine Arts America account.

You can find my jewelry for sale here.

You can find my scarves for sale here.

Hey! my dear friends or soon-to-be's, JtC could use the donations to keep this site functioning for those of us who can still see the life preserver or flotsam in the water.

to all the brave folks, especially our first nations who are on the front lines of the fight.

You have hospital bills for pneumonia? WTF kind of barbarism is that? I am so sorry. And thankful for my beloved Canada.

I am dealing with bills now coming from a 1-2 day hospitalization out of state, arranged by my local hospital. I arrived at first without insurance card and continued on. My insurance company seems to be getting the bills, but I either have to wait for the next 8 pages of Explanation of Benefits and try to match numbers or to the website to see what they have cleared. Very confusing and much more stressful. I just don't pay anything for several months. But it has not been 2 months yet.

Good luck, keep breathing!

All I have is Medicare. I'm still paying off Reid's hospital bills from last year. Not sure how they expect me to pay everything on Social Security.
