At 6:02 it will be 6:02 10-23, and thus it is mole day because 6.02x10**23 particles constitute a mole.

Thanks for sorting out the mole
Imagine! All this time I thought Avogadro's number was the number an Aardvark
did on an avocado. Let's just say my primary education was somewhat lacking
in these regards.
Lots of good tunes today, thanks for the OT!
question everything
Heh, before I got me any science learning I thought it
it was abogado's number and wondered it that was the bill, the billable hours, of the phone number of the nearest spanish speaking attorney.

I’m wondering what the world would be doing
.
if Russia had been bombing Kiev for the last 10 days after cutting off all utilities and had told people that they either leave or they get slaughtered. And if they had been targeting every hospital there and told them that they had 24 hours to evacuate them before they started bombing them in earnest. Do you think that world leaders would be saying that Russia has the right to defend itself from the Kiev Nazis that had been bombing the Donbas for 8 years which are now part of Russia?
Scientists are concerned that conspiracy theories may die out if they keep coming true at the current alarming rate.
Good morning Snoops. An interesting question.
would WWIII already be over, would we have kept it conventional and watched Europe get decimated, or would NATO have backed down but tried to impose a total blockade of the Russian Federation.

My mole
is guacamole.
Mole mileage varies.
I had a great weekend, but I am now in work mode, about as much fun as having you teeth pulled with pliers.
People are becoming more and more violent. I have had to call the cops to escort my own damn clients out of the office.
Oh well, if everyone were normal and perfect, I would have no clients.
Thanks for the OT, friend!

Good morning otc. You have picked possibly the best
mole. We have had to trap a few in the yard, but that's seemingly over for now. Work wouldn't be called work if it weren't actually work. Try to get the satisfaction that you can out of the good you do and keep your head down. Meanwhile, like you said '''

Mole traps

Gopher hawk brand and, fwiw, we were traping pocket gophers,
not moles. I misspoke. Gophers are very territorial so you only get one per so many square yards. The gopher hawk trap is really good if you can find a relatively recent burrow - I think there are you tubes.
Noise, btw, will drive them away. A guy across the street would fill empty wine bottles with a couple of inches of water and bury the bottom few inches in an active burrow with the neck pointing up. The noise created by the wind blowing across the neck drove the gophers out of his yard and into one of the other neighbors'.

Thanks EL

One "organic" solution I've never tried, which would
only work on relatively simple and short burrows where you can locate all the openings is to drop significant amounts of dry ice in each burrow opening. As it sublimates, the CO2 floods the burrow(s) because heavier than air and suffocates the critters.

There is no evidence of corruption in Ukraine.
On second thought maybe just a little bit.
Clear proof that the Ukies are supporting Hamas and
are very probably behind Hamas' unprovoked stealth attack on Israel.

@humphrey
I lean towards believing it has been with the USA's full knowledge. Weapons to Ukraine were always meant to be redistributed. All part of the plan to destroy Syria and Iran. I find it difficult to believe Israel had no knowledge of what was being planned by Hamas.

That must be so embarrassing to Biden and the war hawks

When I taught chemistry...
...we always celebrated Mole Day. If my memory serves it ends at 6:02 this evening.
I see it has its own website.
Hope you are all having a good one. Been busy here.
“Until justice rolls down like water and righteousness like a mighty stream.”
I took the basic required
At the end of each semester, I managed to forget every damn thing I had learned.
I mean, no factoids, terminology, theory...not a thing stayed in my brain.
It was not as interesting as Shakespeare, or the French Revolution.
Bet you had lots of mole day fun, friend.

Hi EL!
Sorry I didn't make it by yesterday... Thanks for the great sounds man!
I thought this was going to be a thread about subterranean mammals with poor eyesight, or fine Mexican sauces.
Hope all is well yer way!
