Time for the UN Monitors?

How does one contact the United Nations and get taken seriously enough to want to help us ensure fair elections?

Because this has become unacceptable. In my estimation, after this weekend's shenanigans, waiting until the convention in Philadelphia is too late. Bernie Sanders cannot handle this task and campaign at the same time. It is up to US to get the ball rolling.

http://www.un.org/en/peacekeeping/about/contact.asp

It's time to get serious about this. The people of Nevada have blatant cheating documented on video. Countless Americans have stories to tell, including this one, from previous primaries.

All ideas/assistance welcome. We have to start somewhere, somehow, with this, IMO Nobody is going to help us, we have to help ourselves.

UN Peacekeepers do this kind of monitoring. How can we determine our ability to be protected? Who do we contact? How should they be contacted?

I need to check more into this when I get home later--I was eating my lunch when I posted it. So damned disgusted with all these stories--I can't believe, these alleged Democrats in positions of power are just blatantly, obviously, openly cheating. It's like they're DARING us to try and stop them. So in my mind, that's what we need to try and do, and thinking of the UN, that was what I decided we should try (or at least investigate trying it).

Your idea looked good to me. I doubt we'll get any response, but it felt like I was thumbing my nose at the corrupt Clinton's and their machine. It is so frustrating when there is no real remedy for this kind of dishonesty. Win or lose, we need to join the Greens and make them a potent force for people over the oligarchs.

I'll update the post later, but meantime, here's the short version: I walked into my precinct to early-vote back in....what was it when Florida voted, March? I walk in, get ID'd, sign my name, and turn around--and there's the clerk, printing my ballot out on her laser jet printer.

Now, I'm not stupid--I know this is bullshit immediately, right? But I decide to take the "Funny" route (my "resting bitch face" is scary and there was a cop hanging around the door). So I look the lady dead in the eye, and I say "Well! That's ONE way to keep from running out of ballots, isn't it? Good for you!!!" She must have turned five different shades of lighter-white-than-she-already-was. The precinct captain came running--I mean hauling ass--across the room, because....I don't know, did she sense trouble? Very loudly, she says "OH, NO, NO PROBLEMS HERE! Here, you just fill that out and then bring it to us"...so I did. I wanted to take a pic of my ballot, too, but couldn't (sign said "Turn off all electronic devices before entering"). So I filled in the one dot and walked it back up. This woman practically tore it out of my hand, and I was escorted--yes, really--escorted out the side door before I could see what happened.

My money says she didn't do shit with it but throw it away. They can't just print ballots on the printer! It doesn't work like that!

But I couldn't prove it, so what could I do?

The only registration file they had on me was from when I first moved to Oregon in 2006. I had been an Independent up untill we moved here - whole reason I changed to Democrat was because Oregon has closed primaries. So in 2006 I changed to Dem. In November of 2015 I had it confirmed at the DMV that I was a Dem. O April 10th I had it confirmed again that me and my son were Dems.

My husband has been a Dem the entire time here in OR. They had nothing for him. Just a handwritten INDEPENDENT.

I am beyond pissed.

Fuckers won't take my vote. 5 people were in line behind me all the same thing. Long time Democrats who go non-partison ballots.

Fuck this shit. It's time to quit acting like sheep. It's time to burn down this pathetic way of "voting".

I got a provisional but was told that the presidential vote may not be cast - it's a case by case thing.

BS!

"Oh, 8 Hillary delegate were flagged." Of course, those 8 were quickly credentialed. Meanwhile, 64 Bernie delegates were flagged and only a handful were subsequently credentialed. I'm sure it's just a coincidence that whenever there's a screw-up it affects Bernie 10 to 1.

And it is being called CT.
Most comments are "How would they know that they are Bernie supporters"? and other suck bullshit.
The fact that this has happened in state after state doesn't bother the Hillary supporters one fucking bit.

And of course the fearless leader had to weigh in on the 'violence' of what happened in Nevada.
As others have pointed out, if there had been chairs thrown or people rushing the stages, where the hell are the arrests?

Good luck getting this straightened out in time, but it is very clear to me that this election is being stolen and in broad daylight and the Hillary supporters are blaming Bernie.

Got an email from Bernie's Voter Protection Team:

Janet, thank you for following up on this. We certain understand how painful and frustrating this is. Please continue tracking your provisional ballot and following up with your county elections office, and keep us apprised. We will do what we can to help.

As I mentioned, we're here to support voters who report problems with voting, including discrepancies with registration and/or balloting of the sort you describe. As you know, there are various sources of confusion in the vote by mail process, and we do our our best to track these reports to assess any patterns or causes for concern.

I don't think UN peacekeepers would come in and monitor. After all, we're the beacon of freedom and democracy in the world - har har - so UN monitoring would be a blatant admission that we're not. Which would be very antagonistic to the angry giant America, and no one wants to get in THOSE crosshairs.

I'd be very surprised if the UN would take any action.

Five nations initially had veto power (you know, big important ones). A few have been added, fairly recently.

We use it to quash any dissent against the US, and more often, to head off resolutions against Israeli wrong-doing.

Sorry but since my state (NY) voted I have been alternating between blinding rage and utter

And...no, not all the nations have equal say. See Superpowers, permanent members of the UN and veto, which nation has used them most in the last six decades. I'll give a hint, it's two nations and both start with United and follow with States and Kingdom.

What's more...the so called UN Peacekeepers just to the US bidding. Peacekeeping my ass. But that's neither here nor there right now, except that the US controls the UN too, mostly.

My partner and I were both elections monitors, a couple months ago, for the Arizona "Presidential Preference Election". Today is another election, a special election for two ballot initiatives (both bad). But the rules have been changed. Instead of us, and a couple friends, taking shifts at the polls, this time, only five observers were allowed, for the entire county (bigger than Rhode Island, area-wise). So she is trying to cover five far-flung polling places by herself today, and will be mostly driving, all day. And I am not. (She is a county 'precinct captain').

Carter might even have the courage to do it.

Although, he's such a family man, that I wonder whether he would want to expose his kids and grandkids to risk - these people play dirty. Not necessarily through violence, but there are other ways to hurt people when you have all the power.

If it wasn't for his family, he might actually do something.

Of course, the media would just say he was going crazy, or the cancer had affected his sanity. Anything can be ignored when the entire MSM wants it to be.

I'm starting to think there's no saving this situation. All avenues of positive action are closed. The decline is going to happen the slow and painful way and until it does, no rebuilding can be done. I'm feeling pretty disheartened lately. I was hopeful, but now that I'm seeing the extent to which they will blatantly cheat and lie and NO ONE CARES... well, I don't see how we can do anything constructive at all. Sorry for being such a downer. It comes in waves...
