Guess that was on me.
My bad. I'll try to make sure that doesn't happen again.
Thanks Al...
I'm guilty of it myself from time to time, I guess it really doesn't really hit home until it stares you in the face. Thanks.
Never really thought to look for something like that
unless it was slapping me in the face I guess. Now I know better. Live and learn.
Mr Lowery...
appears to be a professional photographer/graphics artist, I don't blame him for being protective.
So what was the
copy write violation? A picture? A too many paragraph text? Jeeze I really try not to use to much of any article or whatever. Could you please be more specific as to what caused this so we can all avoid such violations?
It was an image...
see the second paragraph in the blockquote. To see the image and the website it's from click the bottom link in the blockquote.
Oh I see now
an image that was copyrighted . Hard to tell whats free game in the public domain or is owned by the artist, writer or musician. Well Stig sued Nasty and everybody and his dog sues for copyright violations in this world of ownership. Still as an artist myself I guess if I ever got to a point where I copyrighted my work I would not want wanton violations that did not effect my intake of money but made a point with my art.
Ain't complaining
I'm glad I don't have to see the judge. Here comes the judge.
one way to find images without copyright problems...
if you're doing a google image search, you can click on the tools icon (the thing shaped like a gear in the upper right hand corner),
choose "advanced search" from the drop down and click on "usage rights" which is the last item on the search page. choose "free to use, share or modify even commercially" from the drop down menu. that should produce a page of results that nobody will complain about us using.
Thanks!
If there is some way we can have this info incorporated into FAQ, that would be nice too.
Do I hear the sound of guillotines being constructed?
