List of BernieCrats running for the House & Senate
Submitted by Roger Fox on Sun, 05/01/2016 - 8:05pm
85 in the House and 22 in the Senate. Not to mention state house. Some have lost their primaries like Fetterman in PA.
85 Berniecrats are running for a seat in the House.
22 for a Senate seat.
SO while all the Hillarybots @TOP are thumping their chests, we only need 14 seats to flip the House. If half the Berniecrats win their House seats, Neither Trump or Hillary will be able to do very much.

Good post. Thanks.
A worthwhile focus of energy.
Sadly
I can't vote for either of the House candidates in my state, and there is no berniecrat senator to vote for.
Come on down and
vote for ours

Here in Oregon...
I have several BernieCrat candidates - unfortunately, I do not live in Congressional District 5. So, I cannot vote for Dave McTeague.
Sigh... I have to make do with my District 2. Bleh... Greg Walden will probably walk away with umpteenth victory as Republican rep. But there tends to be a Democratic challenger one way or other - and that seems to be chipping away at Walden's margins slowly and steadily. Sometimes there are other party challengers; again, all of them are chipping away at margins.
But for Congressional Senate - I absolutely can vote for Kevin Stine, all the way from Medford in Southern Oregon. Medford is in Cong. District 2 (FYI). So, Kevin is a wonderful surprise, especially coming from a rather conservative Southern Oregon.
As for my State Legislative Districts (Representative and State Senate)... lemme check... Nope. Sigh... Will have to make do within my district's Democratic closed primary and go from there...
As for Governor, I will go ahead and Bern with Dr. Julian Bell. Hell, OR seems to have a tradition of electing doctors into governorships, so I will help continue the tradition.
An Oregon peculiarity - no Lt. Governor, Secretary of State fulfills this role. At least, Sec. of State is a full position, unlike both Lt. Governor and the Veep. So, in that case, I will have to look around to be sure about my vote...
And Steve Novick seems to be a BernieCrat running for City Council in Portland, OR. So, I cannot vote for him. No other local level BernieCrat... meh...
So, many thanks for the linkie! Thanks!
My dad’s business associates sent us Harry & David fruit boxes
from Medford, Oregon, back in the day (i.e. decades ago). Is that still a thing?
Yep

The family business was purchased by an investment group
a few years ago. They have made a number of changes.
Still yourself, deep water can absorb many disturbances with minimal reaction.

Yup. Still a thing.
Just more expensive. Like a poster said above, an investment group bought out Harry and David.
But their Moose Munch seems still good, though...
NY 24
NY 24 has a Berniecrat running. In 2008 and 2012 Dan Maffei (D-Verizon) won the district (It was NY 25 in 2008). He lost in 2010 and 2014, because Syracuse does not vote in off year elections. In 2014 Maffei lost by the largest margin of any incumbent in the cycle (20 points). I doubt enough will show up to vote for Shillary to make a difference this year. Too many angry white people will show up to vote for Trump and they'll vote for John Katko too. Katko was a US Attorney who prosecuted many Syracuse street gang members under the RICO Act. This makes him popular in the very white suburbs, even if he doesn't vote in lock step with the crazies.

Locally, District 2 for AZ
Victoria Steele is running for the House, in Gabby Giffords old district. She is also a Berniecrat...didn't see her on the list. She's got this household's vote. Raul Grijalva is our next door (district) neighbor, and my favorite Congressman. He is consistently introducing or voting for good stuff.

Thanks for this! Good to know who I can support on the down ballot!

I am so happy someone
Is running against Patty Murray. I have come to dislike her intensely. She has stopped representing this state along time ago.
Hopefully we can get a
Hopefully we can get a Berniecrat in the sixth fairly soon. The incumbent is a tad, shall we say, uninspiring.

Not just the House and Senate!
There are plenty of other Berniecrats running for big positions. For example, Frantz Pierre is running for Los Angeles mayor next year and his biggest platform push is worker-owned companies or coops. I look forward to working to help get him elected.

Thank you! Where to

Another cool think about flipping the House is that once again Democrats will have committee chairmanships, which means they can choose to hold public hearings on tthings that matter to us. It's been a real loss when Republicans controlled that part of the publiv-information agenda.

We need a Progressive to run in NY 8th (where a lot of voters
were 'mistakenly' dropped from the voter lists and our Congressman Hakim Jeffries is a total establishment shill.
