Cassiodorus's picture

Are still about human beings and their fantasy lives.

I guess there were some deaths at Burning Man.

At any rate, my opinion on all the spectacle:

1) Burning Man sounds liken it would be fun, if you were a) much younger than I am and b) taking psilocybin mushrooms during the experience in a completely voluntary experience and while accompanied by a non-dosing spirit guide.

2) Burning Man had lots of people living in tents, but there are already plenty of people living in tents in America's big cities. This obvious fact has been pointed out online. Perhaps the billionaires in attendance at Burning Man could help the ones out who are living in the big cities.

3) There were Christians who were evicted from Burning Man. There were also Christians who were not evicted from Burning Man, but they received no press coverage. Perhaps the ones who were evicted would have been better served if they had followed camp rules and if they had tried to create the society illustrated in Acts 4: 32-35 instead of whatever it was they did.

4) As regards the people who died at Burning Man, well, we should have Burning Man or some less dramatic version of it everywhere in America, 24/7/365, so that when people die in this country they will have a festival to comfort them on the way out. I can think of far worse ways of going out of bodily existence in this world than to do so during Burning Man.

Anyway, that is all.
