The City not only settled on the purchase price for my office and real estate, they will be covering all closing costs!
My secretary scored a part time job, will be splitting up her work week between the two offices, and will go full time with the construction company as I close down. The target date is September 15th.
All of you surf the net, and all of you find interesting info, so please use this OT to drop in anything you believe is worthwhile for us. (That includes recipes, cute pet pictures, gardening tips, where to buy affordable food (/s), stupid quotes made by stupid politicians, and so forth...)

My question to you: Should Trump be impeached for getting into a food cart, selecting some of his associates, including the hotty blonde, getting aboard the Qatar plane and sending off over a 100 people on Air Force One to possibly get shot down? Or,do we consider him wise and honorable?

I ran across an article that had her emails to Trump. Natalie is unwell. She never said anything romantic, but constantly reassured him that he was her idol, her world, her sole reason to be alive. Seems Trump told her late Dad that he would take care of her. So, does Trump pay her, or are we tax payers footing the bill?
I didn't make her any promises of that nature!
Well, Lego Natalie just became one of my favorite pop tunes of all times!
When I retire, I will get active on my X account I established one day, then forgot about.
Melania will likely outlive Trump, and she might take the gloves off in her book to be published in the future.

Congrats on the impending retirement! Sounds like it is progressing well. The light is certainly shining at the end of of a short tunnel.
We had a helluva storm Thursday night, so that was the big topic at Trade Day. I got 0.8", but many friends got over 2". Everyone got a thunder and light show. We lost power for about 1.5 hours. We've got an old but still functioning battery powered clock that helps us reset everything.
The rain cooled us down and it is comfortable outside this AM. I think we're past peak summer heat.
Yesterday was occupied with limb pick up and some weed eating. Always plenty to do. Makes us wonder how we found time to go to work as it seems a full time job here.

JtC was going to mow the back 10 acres this afternoon, but after a doe and her fawn showed up last night to eat, and lie down for a long rest, he will put it off for a while. They are not attracted to freshly mowed pastures. Grass isn't growing fast, and is browning. We have a 55% chance of t=storm late today. It will be 102F by late afternoon.
Barron, age 20, is worth between 10 and 25 million bucks. He invested in a beverage. Smart, or helped by someone behind the curtains?

Well, free trade is of variable meaning. Gaza cease fire lends itself to different meanings. Safe and effective means different things to different people. "Is" has multiple meanings, iirc. 'genocide doesn't apply to a certain race, so it seems. So, in that sense, "good people" are maybe on a 1 to 10 scale? If you awakened this morning unconfined in a jail cell, I am positive that makes you a good guy.
That Trump lawsuit threat demonstrates Constitutionally protected free speech lends itself to "interpretation". While I have no love for Neera Tanden or John Podesta, I both hope and predict they will hand Trump his ass if he sues CAP. Numbers don't lie.
I haven't skimmed much news either, but I have a free afternoon to get to the task.

Nawfal has good guests from both sides but I really do not
consider him as being trustworthy. He does not seem to have an agenda but I think the he is based in the UAE or some other arab country. He is not one of my go to sources.
Not a go to for me, either.
Still, the acceptance of him by his Russian hosts makes me think twice. I will stay on the fence, keep my eyes and mind open about him.

I'm glad that you are almost retired. Man, it has been hot and humid like walking into a double sauna here. There is a feel of fall in the air, too. Here in ECFL, we've lucked out in the drought dept. A lot of FL has been going through drought periods. We really haven't, and the t-storms are intense, but welcomed. 
@lotlizard's link on the origins of the actual name rock'n'roll is a good read. The one I always like is the phrase came mostly from the AA world and means the sex act. Popular music's origins are contested, and it is a lot of fun to read about them. Sure beats reading about current events. Yeck! Hope you and JtC are continuing to be well, and staying cool and dry. I was 103f yesterday, and the t-storms didn't reach us. All the dire drought predictions were wrong. We seem to get rain when we need it. That said, we are under a burn ban until October. When you are surrounded by a national forest, you always get burn bans. I see some leaves turning gold and falling, but it doesn't feel like fall.
I am following the State Bar's directives on how to retire to the absolute letter. I will disconnect my office phone lines September 15th. What office furniture I do not keep will be purchased by the City. I must update my profile at The State Bar website, and will end my legal software subscription by Nov. 1st.
We are thinking about some future trips. A friend used to travel to Florida every summer. He tried every hwy configuration on the map to avoid I-10E. He gave up, so like it or not, get into the intense traffic and deal with it, or stay home. Do Floridians have "patience" pills available? Lol!
We will have a meet up one of these days, chica!
