This is a very dangerous provision being inserted into the 2026
NDAA being voted in Congress on 4 Jun 26. The original text of
this section is derived from were H.R.7540 and S. 3855
(The U.S.-Israel FUTURES Act).
Summary:
"Section 224 of the Chairman’s Mark of the NDAA establishes a new U.S. Israel Defense Technology Cooperation Initiative aimed at accelerating joint research, development, and integration of Israeli origin and jointly developed defense technologies into U.S. military systems and programs of record. It directs the Secretary of Defense to designate an executive formalize deeper cooperation and integration across emerging and existing domains, including counter-drone systems, missile and air defense, quantum computing, AI and autonomous systems, cyber and electronic warfare, directed energy, and defense industrial base co-production, while facilitating pathways from R&D into procurement. This section requires regular reporting to Congress on progress and technology transitions, and emphasizes rapid adoption of Israeli defense innovations to strengthen U.S. military capabilities and technological supremacy."
I think Congress was attempting to slip this in to the omnibus legislation without public scrutiny as is their MO.
Does this mean US servicemen will be controlled by the IDF? Or Israeli soldiers will receive US military benefits?

The Constitution is quite explicit that "Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort." Israel is an "ally", not enemy (one could even argue it's the other way around and the US is an ally, or more accurately a subsidiary, of Israel) and is not (openly) levying war against the US.
One could of course use other terms, such as "fraud", "conspiracy", "skulduggery", "subversion", and "infamy", but I'm not sure how much of a Federal case could be made (any Constitutional lawyers available?).

What you have here, is "Organized Crime."
The label "Organized Crime" is ubiquitous when describing a stronger nation and its allies who illegally engage in physical and financial harm against another (usually weaker) nation. All in the pursuit of illegally acquiring additional Wealth, Power, Dominance, and Defensive Protection.
All sovereign nations are impacted and threatened when an Organized Crime Nation and its Gang of allies, are allowed to co-exist in this ever-smaller world. Some small sovereign nations have been forced to pay for "Protection" — often by surrendering a strategic port for US Naval occupation. Some once-sovereign nations have handed over land grants in prized locations, which were then transformed into hard core military bases for US strategic weapons and offensive Air Force operations. From these many foreign-outpost assets, the US can unleash its military to (illegally) dominate or threaten or destroy inconvenient sovereign nations throughout the world. Often, the US hegemon uses these foreign bases to violently punish distant nations that reject US authority — when illegal tariffs, sanctions, and blockades don't work.
In their voting choices, the US elders are the only demographic that casts a majority vote for the candidates who tell the most egregious lies about US involvement in historic events — events that these older generations actually witnessed.... thus, turning their backs on their duty to check and balance runaway power in the US government. (Yes, this is the People's duty in self governing. It is also the People's duty to keep their Constitution relevant and up-to-date for future generations.)
May this actively voting elder generation be seated early at the Banquet of Consequences that the US is about to face. (A really big event that, apparently, most USians cannot see coming.)

The usual persons and groups have been pushing for this quasi military unification of Israel and the US for a bit now. It was intended as Britain's aircrat carrier in the Mideast and became ours. All the parties involved in plotting and pushing that lost track of history, how a small tribe of people strove top acquire and built a mini-empire and have always craved a retrun and subsequent expansion of that empire. They were never going to be content to be somebody's tool for very long.

It was a bad idea from the get-go,
to dump a severely traumatized people (led by paranoid psychopaths) on top of an allegedly related people who had not been consulted and had no say whatsoever in the matter. Of course it went horribly wrong. The West may have had good intentions (mixed in with some highly questionable ones, like "get these people far away from us" and "grab the oil"), but it could hardly have made a bigger or bloodier mess had the intentions been totally malevolent.

Even back in 1917, the official doctrine concerning
populations was that they should have self-determination via plebescites. All hogwash, as was clearly proven by Israel when the Palestinians were never consulted, never allowed even the tiniest voice in their own affairs and all that not only during the mandate but throughout the proeces of deciding to grant a chumk of Palestine to a groud that included a lot of what were essentially settler colonists.
