The rose bushes in the Balboa Park rose garden are in bloom after being cut back for the winter. That means it's time to get out with the macro lens and look for bugs in the garden.

Hey SP great shots of the buggies
.
The first one looks like you caught them copulating.
The last one appears like the bugger has a drop of
water and carries it like a ball.

I love that Hummingbird, QMS!
Is that your yard? If so, that is one very cool birdbath!
Liked the pics and tune, Sp. Classic, original (Duane isn't dead yet) Allman Bros. Band will always be my favorite Southern Boogie rock. Yee-Haw!! LOL. Sp, that top bug photo is X-Rated, correct?
My ECFL casa has been cheering the safe, flawless return of Artemis II. This household of two plus a couple of Space Beagles has always been fans of the peaceful exploration of space. And the Pacific near your hometown---wow!! Talk about calm waters: Mother Ocean was holding out her arms welcoming the astronauts home. What a great day! Rec'd!!

Hey Orb
Yes, that is just out back The birds like fluffing their feathers
there on warmer days. Some even sip from it.
Yeah, seems the moon shot was a success.
Glad NASA can still get it together.

Hi, obf
I don't consider the first photo x-rated. It's just part of Mother Natures cycle of life in action.

How close can you get with the lens that you used without
disturbing the insects?
Hi, humphrey
Sometimes they let me get to minimum working distance which is a little under 1 ft with the lens I use. Other times I can't get within a couple of feet without spooking them.
