OT WE 8 APR 26 ~ chowda' day
Today is, among other things, National Chowder day. Although most people associate clams and cream as
being the definition of chowder, there are several varieties available. Here in southern New England we have
a clear chowder - no cream thank-you. Traditionally made with Quohogs which are big, tough clams. Maine
tends more toward white, typically with clams. Other variations substitute lobster (which borders on Bisque)
while Mass does a lot with 'seafood' chowder which is fish based. New York is known for their Manhatten
chowder which is red using tomato derivatives. They all make use of onion, celery and some form of pepper.
Corn chowder is also popular here in the fall (cream based). In south Florida you can find Bahamian conch
chowder Tbis is also a red chowder, typically served with a light brandy accompaniment. And don't forget
the chowder crackers aka oyster crackers. Depending on the variety, I might add a splash of hot sauce to
wake it up.
Well, that's about it here. Whatever you cook-up add it to the stew (don't get me started on stews).

Another hump day has arrived.
We're half of the way to the weekend!
Probably the biggest headliner today is captain blowhard
pulled another TACO true to form. His handlers told him to
back-off the end-of-the-world schtick cause of economic
investment consequences. More oil is being traded in yuan
with each swing around the wheel, which is hurting the
petrodollar. There is no reversing that trend. The US did not
win this round. What is your take?

I do not trust Israel, as this morning they bragged about dropping 100 missiles in 10 minutes on Lebanon last night. My guess is that they will drag us back in to fight, possibly for a long time.
I will enjoy a beautiful day here before we begin a spate of daily rains and t-storms for the next 7.

That is one powerful looking bird! Great shot.
Many times I will save photos to the desktop for ease of finding.
I use a Mac OS which has a default to save files to a documents
folder, which then get lost. When you click choose file button,
you should be given a menu of places to look. Hope that helps.
Try, try again. It gets easier with practice.

actors should ignore all non-UN sanctions and if individual countries try to self=enforce them by theft and piracy should start defending their property. A few warning shots from shoulder mounted missiles at would be helicopter based seizures, followed by actual live fire ifneed be just might put an end to a lot of that crazy shit. Unilateral or non-un multilateral "sanctions" are acts of war, piracy, terrorism, and more and should be treated as such. That should probably extend to enablers as well. If the republic of malarky wants to let ukie terrorists use its territory to attack ships on the high seas, then malarky has skin in the game and should be made to ante up.

I love that painting on your OT, QMS. What's
the title? Rec'd for that and clam chowder which I love!!! I'm not big on shellfish or fried fish. I like "fin fish" as my grandfather called them. I cook them by baking primarily, but also love steamed, grilled or broiled. The only fried fish I like is fresh catfish filets coated with fresh breading and fried in fresh grease. Yes, I am that picky.

Kinda picky myself when it comes to seafood. Get fish and chips
maybe twice a year as long as the fish is fresh and the batter light.
We do a lot of salmon on the grill. Otherwise, I'm happy as a clam
with a tin of sardines in olive oil with a cracker kicker.
