Also known as Gawk Day (in Scotland). This is the day to test our tolerance for practical jokes and pranks. Like MSM, a whiff of truth helps the gullible to swallow fabrications enacted
at the expense of the receiver. Or in salesman terms, the mark or sucker.
What are your most memorable escapades?
As a kid, I used to put sugar on my cereal. My brother and sister swapped
sugar for salt just to watch the look on my face when digging in.
They had a good laugh. I could never eat sugar pops again.
On this day, the famous Russian composer Sergei Rachmaninoff was born in 1873.
His piano concerto number two, opus number 18, performed by Anna Fedorova - 38 minutes.
Also, the too soon departed Motown artist Marvin Gaye left us with his legacy.

Speaking of which, saw this little ditty about the trumpet lecturing the EU on how to go
about securing oil. Buy it from us or 'just go take it' (meaning bomb your way to the petrol
station in the ME) and steal it. This is the business model of the mafia empire. They would
be well advised to ignore that advice and attempt to establish diplomatic relations. Then
settle on terms agreeable to the producers, whether in yuan or local currency. Not dollars
or shekels. Just saying. It is simple to solve the world's problems when not running it.

Assuming the weatherman isn't pulling my leg, it is gonna rain a bit this afternoon. Probably right at the time I drive home.
I have almost closed out my family law cases. I think I have 5 left to finish up, then folks can go elsewhere to fight over money and kids. Since 2020, the bulk of my business is probate and estate planning. I am sure that is not a coincidence...

Good morning Cap'n Q. We have been living in
a mirror narrative world for some time now. Our government declares much of reality to be "fake news" while, itself promoting the most outrageous falsehoods as the truth. This, in combination with the endless misrepresentations of every marketing department for every known type of goods and services, has created a world of complete unceretainty as to damn near everything.
Today is April Fool's Day, or alternatively April Fools' Day, whichever. Will our government slip some actual true information into the daily dose of bullshit narrative in order to keep us on our toes? We can only watch and see.
Samuel Beckett (Endgame, Waiting for Godot, Krapp's Last Tape) was born on the 6th. If we can hold out a few more days we can celebrate and fullty appreciate his vision and the fact that it has pretty much come to pass. Today, of all days, we should remind ourselves that: "We are all born mad. Some remain so.", for it is both the day for that and the clowns dancing upon the world stage drive home the truth of that assertion with their every act and breath.

You know, absurdities seem to be compounding
....everywhere. The deeper you dig into a news story, these days, the weirder it gets. For example, the sprawling luxury bunker hidden underneath the New White House Ballroom. Designated as an underground survival zone for select military (and families?) — A survival compound of fully-stocked homes and gardens. The Ballroom is perched on top like a clunky after-thought. I'm not objecting to the concept, but it seems like all the abrupt decisions being made now, turn out to be some money-pumping short-cut to protect and enrich Our Overlords. April Fools, indeed.
