O what fresh hell awaits

I can only bare a few seconds of Western controlled media before turning the tube off. It truly is an echo chamber with the same sentence construction and bullet points. Entire paragraphs cut and pasted right into their mouths.
Turning to the alt media and its expansive comment sections, I get a finger on the pulse of the common people and what they think. Right or wrong, left or right, they don't hold back. I get an honest feel for what the vibe is.
I'm finding a predominate meme growing across the board, buyers remorse.
A very inordinate amount of posters saying they voted for Trump and they are sorry they did. This disillusionment is markedly different from anything I've ever seen before.
Many of these posters are full on MAGA adherents, hats and all.
So what makes them to voluntarily admit their mistake? Are MAGA people just more honest or humble?
It's the sheer number of people voicing buyers remorse that is striking.
I cannot remember anyone anywhere saying they were sorry they voted for Joe Biden, which instantly makes me think no one actually voted for Joe Biden as he was really, kind of installed.
But I did vote for Obama, twice, and was sorry I did. But I didn't go around offering that up.
I was too embarrassed that I was fooled so thoroughly.
Hope and change, harrumph!
The MAGA movement is America at its most basic form. Hardworking Americans. The working hands of America. The people that keep America running and endeavor to never take charity or government handouts.
When you've turned them against you, you have really fucked up.
Beautify bigly.
This may be the break we've been waiting for.
Thread is open. What are you guys hearing out there?

Domestic politics seem superficial

There is little deeply reasoned interchange from what
I can gather. Except here of course.
Thanks for sharing your mind on these heady topics.

I'm sensing
an anti-war movement trying to burst up from below, straining mightily. But TPTB are sensing it too, and are piling more and more weight on it to keep it down.
Economic stagnation, inflation, expanding homelessness, stirring the cultural pot, and plenty of war and strife, keep us focused away from the Full Spectrum Dominance plan.
I'm hearing people from both sides of the isle recognizing the duopoly for what it is.
Thanks for the post.

The idea of an anti-war movement is encouraging

It has been percolating for years here in war land. Doesn't seem to
gather enough steam to change the dialogue being advertised.
Frustrating to us peaceniks. We were raised to believe in the
possibility of change.

Good morning, e1!
I keep an eye on some right wing sites because those sites write about news events almost as they happen. Their views are as slanted as left wing, and I know they spin everything right good, left bad, but it is news that left wing sites do not even mention.
I made the comment a week or so ago that MAGAS are peeling away from Trump. In the last few days, they are openly breaking all ties with him. I see no way for the right to sweep the mid-terms. Unfortunately, the left is pro-war, not showing hesitancy to put boots on the ground for Israel and economic growth for their MIC donors.
I voted for Obama only once. My biggest political regret is Bernie. He is an embarrassment, and I still feel personally duped. I hate that feeling of seeing myself as a fool. It is one thing to see the stupidity in a politician, but seeing it in yourself rocks your self-respect and self-confidence.
MAGAS are feeling it now.
Thanks for the OT, friend.

I'm sensing
the rug being pulled out from under me.
My employer has informed me that I'm being involuntarily retired. My salary has been canceled, and I'm now hourly, with a cap of 30 hours a week- so my income will now be a fraction of what it was before. They say that it is because of their concerns about my health, which is nice of them- but it is really about not wanting to keep anybody who is well past full retirement age on the roster. My new boss (after a recent reorg), a Gen Xer, just can't understand why I would still need to earn a living. All us old boomers are supposed to sitting on huge hoards of gold, right? Right.
It would seem that my previous thought that I would die at my desk is being thwarted. The good news is that they have also said that I no longer need to come into the office at all, and can permanently work from home. That is certainly tempting, but I still have to keep my own goddamned lights on- my SS (that I haven't started taking yet, in an effort to maximize the value I get out of it) can't possibly make up for what I was making. So, since nobody will hire an engineer in my field at my age, I'll have to go see what else is out there.
Truly a fresh hell.

What a cluster fuck, ufs!
In these parts, oldsters are moving into tiny home parks and rv parks. They often work at Walmart. It could happen to many of us "middle" class folks.
I am so sorry this happened to you, friend.

Planning. I should have
arranged not to have a stroke last year, or to need my hernia repair repair repaired again this March. I'm costing them too much money, and have had to be absent for medical reasons too much. Shoot, I should simply have arranged for 2008 and 2014 to have never happened- I'd still have a decent 401(k) balance rather than the pittance that is in there now. For that matter, I should never have bought the ranch- trying not to lose it is where the 401(k) balance went. I just didn't have the correct degree of foresight, I guess.
At least they aren't just shitcanning me outright- what is being "offered" is definitely better than the good old heave-ho, and I can still try to build up a few more pennies in the SS account before I simply say "fuck it". But it still smarts. I wonder who they are going to give my office to? I won't be needing it any more...

Can not conceive of doing anything else but my present
role: local handyman. A long, painful drop from the yacht
doctor, which was a pretty good gig while it lasted (30 years).
Took SSA as early as I could since I thought I wouldn't be
around long enough to get my money back out of the system.
Didn't factor in inflation and devaluation. Oops.
Wish you luck in your 'new exciting role' bud. Know you have
struggled for years to stay above water. Some things we can not
predict, only adapt to.

Thanks for the kind words.
Maybe this will make my half-baked plan to go expat in Grenada and wrench on boats, paid under the table, come true. Haven't met a radar, radio, or chart plotter yet that I couldn't beat into submission. And the Grenadians have rum.
Lots and *lots* of rum...

That truly sucks, usf
On the way out you could remind that Gen Xer that he grows older every day too. Subtle guilt trip.
My DILaw just got layed off/fired. They also implied concerns about her health. Her father and stepfather recently passed away and she took both hard, and spent much time as executor of both estates.
Minimally impacted her work.
I guess this is what they teach in business school now, Vulcan like heartlessness.

Here are a few things to ponder about what next
Early in the post Oct 7 event Ritter had a guest who was active in US and International religious community. The video is lost to Youtube purging. He supported the retaliation to provide a safe place to live otherwise a new migration would need to happen and where would they move to for a homeland. Ukraine was in extended conflict and Europe was not stable. Should they consider California where he lived, Texas or Florida as safe havens.
While all the news in on Middle East these stories have received little attention.
June 18th - The Gray Zone - US Army appoints Palantir, Meta, OpenAI execs as Lt. Colonels
June 23 - Fast Company - Map: All 250 million acres of public land the Trump budget bill would sell off
If you have not take the 1 minute to listen to the underlying idea under the 3% concept to control a nation posted in Saturday OT. Then listen to the link at the comment Humphry posted last night in Evening Blues by Mark Levin. Mark was using the concept of 3% prior to the election to encourage his audience to vote for Trump to take control of US. Before this switch in support he had been one of the loudest conservative voices in the Anti-Trump camp.

Bush 1 had a similar quest, so this has been a recurring push. Sell America to the highest bidder.
If Israel fails as a state, it will move here. Probably Yellowstone N P.

While the ceasefire temporally holds Israel can revert to what
it does best. That is killing defenseless woman and children.
Absolutely appalling
Israel to relieve there humiliation by ramping up their death squads.
