Looks to me like there are forces determined to stir up chaos. There was the Iranian port explosion as efforts at negotiation occur, and then the India Pakistan flare up in Kashmir as India and China attempt to heal their dispute. Add to that Ukraine refusing to recognize Russia's proposed three day ceasefire and threatens to attack Moscow on Victory Day. Don't forget the tariff wars underway as well. When your economy is based on war, peace is discouraged other than lip service.

How do we get in all these wars? Evidently by design. Alex Krainer explains...

This week Trump finally got a Ukraine minerals deal. In exchange he's providing more weapons and intell for targeting. Ukraine attacked Crimea with 9 storm shadow missiles and a couple of hundred drones. Apparently all of which were shot down.
Evidently he's no longer concerned about all the death and destruction since he got "the deal".

War In Ukraine - The Mineral Deal Pulls Trump Back In
The agreement will without doubt be used by the U.S. to rob Ukraine of whatever valuables it has left. At the same time it does not commit the U.S. to do anything.
With this capitulation Zelenski has fulfilled everything the Trump administration had demanded from him for a ceasefire. The U.S. has, however, no means to press Russia into a ceasefire. President Putin and other Russian officials have made it clear that they have no interest in just stopping the fighting but want a long lasting peace agreement.
The Trump administration has neither the will nor the capabilities to negotiate and enter into long term peace agreement with Russia.

The U.S. may already be back to be fully committed to the war. As soon as the mineral deal was signed the State Department gave notice to Congress about a $50+ million weapon sale to Ukraine.

During the night from Thursday to Friday a large scale drone attack from Ukraine took place in Crimea. Last night another, ever larger attack took place. During the attack Ukraine used Storm Shadow cruise missiles which need U.S. intelligence based coordinates to reach their targets (machine translation): For the first time since January, Russia announced a strike by British Storm Shadow missiles. This is reported by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
The ministry announced the downing of eight such missiles over the Black Sea.

The last time the Russian Federation officially reported on the Storm Shadow strike was almost three months ago-on January 15.
Also in Russia, a mass drone raid was reported on the Crimea (96 were shot down) and the Krasnodar Territory (47 UAVs were shot down). In addition, it is stated that 14 Ukrainian unmanned boats were destroyed in the Black Sea.

What about the deal with Iran?
Looks like we are scuttling that deal also.

First we had a big explosion in an Iranian port. Now it appears we are targeting their oil exports.

The Trump Administration .. is actively seeking to collapse these exports – currently estimated at 1.5 million bpd-1.6 million bpd – by ratcheting up pressure on the financial system and governments in the region, which aid Iran’s oil export efforts and oil revenue collection.
“We will close off Iran's access to the international financial system by targeting regional parties that facilitate the transfer of its revenues. Treasury is prepared to engage in frank discussions with these countries,” Secretary Bessent said at the Economic Club of New York last week.
“We are going to shut down Iran's oil sector and drone manufacturing capabilities.”

Guess who buys most of their oil from Iran...China

(Also, I read somewhere reasonable just the other day that Pakistan said if USrael nukes Iran, Pakistan will nuke USrael. If so, US wants to get Pakistan busy with India so it can't help Iran. Time will tell...)

Is it the US who is behind the latest tension between India and Pakistan and if so what is their aim? Of course pure speculation and there is a chance that it was organic Paki action, but the incumbent administration, while having been put there by the US, is not acting as intended. The relations with Iran are very good, with cooperation in the field of counterterrorism. The relations with China are great, with ever more interconectedness. Even the relations with Russia are good and no war with Afghanistan is happening. The worst part for the US? They can't threaten the Paki government with democracy, as that would bring back Imran Khan, who is very anti US. They are now completely immune against regime change operations.
Given that US is very well connected with Balochistan terrorists, has been for decades, it is conceivable that the US now tries to push other buttons.

The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor is the most likely true target, turmoil in Kashmir would both jeopardize China's investments in Pakistan (if not destroy them outright) and disrupt the land connection between China and Iran (very useful if the US is determined to attack Iran).

Perhaps we'll find out the real cause someday.
