Half-Assed Peace President

The Donald seems to be trying to broker a peace deal in Ukraine, but Ukraine and the EU aren't interested. The partial ceasefire is being ignored and Russian energy infrastructure is being attacked. In an act of stupidity, the US started bombing the Houthis in a pre-emptive strike while they were refraining from blocking shipping despite the renewed genocide in the Gaza. Now the Houthis are directly striking Israel. Is this a move to start a war with Iran? To top it off we have deportations and censorship of anyone protesting the Palestinian genocide... What about the first amendment? Trump continues his good, bad, and ugly policies. All that plus the economy, food, and farming below the fold.
A real peace president...

US/ Russian Relations
President Vladimir Putin told Russian business leaders in a closed-door meeting not to expect a quick peace deal with Ukraine. Putin’s remarks that U.S.-mediated negotiations would be “difficult and slow,” despite the Trump administration’s optimistic public statements.
“This [war and sanctions] machine won’t be that easy to turn around,” one attendee was quoted as saying after the private session.
“The president advised us not to be naive and to understand how many people and interests are involved in the processes currently taking place,” Rustamova quoted another source as saying.
A third attendee said Putin believes that even if sanctions are lifted, “the United States and the West would figure out how to pressure us anyway.”
...
Putin is pushing Trump to recognize Russia’s annexation of Ukraine’s Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, Luhansk and Crimea regions in exchange for Moscow’s agreement not to lay claim to additional territory.
The Duran commented on the speech also.

(34 min) The US and Russia negotiate an end to the proxy war in Ukraine: What is realistic to expect, how can Europe's bellicose reactions be explained, and is this the end of NATO?
Why Zelensky Can't be Trusted:
Ukraine Strikes Russian Oil facilities, Violating the Ceasefire Deal
However, just hours after the Putin-Trump conversation, the Ukrainian regime launched a drone attack on oil facilities in the village of Kavkazskaya in Russia’s Krasnodar region on the night of March 19. UAV debris damaged a pipeline between fuel storage tanks.
A fire initially broke out over an area of 20 square meters but quickly spread to 4 square kilometers. Firefighting efforts at the oil depot in the Kavkazsky district have been reinforced, with 406 personnel and 157 pieces of equipment deployed to contain the blaze.
The attacked facility handles the transfer of oil from rail tank cars to the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) system. As a result, operations at the oil depot have been suspended.
My guess is the EU told Ukraine to ignore the partial ceasefire in order to sabotage a peace deal and continue the war. These people are insane.
Sudzha Strike: Zelensky Slaps Trump in the Face by Subverting Ceasefire Deal
On March 20, Ukrainian forces struck the Sudzha gas metering station, violating the energy ceasefire deal agreed upon by Zelensky and brokered by Trump on March 18. Despite the truce, Ukraine attacked Russian infrastructure in Krasnodar that same day.
Moscow views this as a deliberate provocation, yet Kiev denies any involvement. Ukrainian media suggest Washington wants a ceasefire to push Zelensky to lift martial law and hold elections in August, but Zelensky has rejected this, fearing he’ll lose his grip on power.
Walk away Trump. Stop all shipments and aid, and walk away. Leave Ukraine for the EU chihuahuas to deal with since they too reject peace.
Perhaps it's not really Zelensky but his Nazi overlords...
The destruction of the gas pumping station in Sudzha by Ukraine makes it look like Volodymyr Zelensky has “limited control” over the Ukrainian military and “limited to no control” over the neo-Nazi “Azov* forces,” USAF Ret. Lt. Col. Karen Kwiatkowski tells Sputnik. Due to their belief in their superiority over the rest of the Ukrainian troops, Azov militants “believe that the war was theirs, always, not the politicians, and certainly not Zelensky’s as a propped-up politician who actually ran on enforcing the Minsk II treaty, a ‘peace’ platform.” “I think Azov, like many effective, violent and nationalistic military groups, disrespect politicians on principles, as compromisers and double dealers. Traditionally, these are the ‘generals’ that the politicians fear, not the other way around,” says Kwiatkowski, a former US Department of Defense analyst.
Thus, there appears to be a danger of Azov exercising the “real political power” in Ukraine. “It is a symptom of imminent collapse of what is left of Ukraine’s civil and political society, and it underlines the real problem that [US President Donald] Trump will have to face and has not yet — and that is how to help Ukraine recover a liberal and rights-based society at the conclusion of hostilities,” Kwiatkowski says. “The anger of the Azov will not be quenched, even after Zelensky is gone and a new president elected.

Trump’s ISRAEL FIRST Flip-Flop On Attacking Yemen!
(16 min) President Trump has taken decisive military action in Yemen, ordering airstrikes against Houthi rebels on March 15, 2025. This action represents a significant flip-flop from when, as a presidential candidate, Trump railed against the Biden administration for bombing the Houthis instead of talking to them.
PROOF Israel Broke The Ceasefire With Hamas! (16 min)
Israel has launched a new ground invasion into Gaza, sending troops into areas they retreated from during a two-month ceasefire with Hamas. This follows a day of airstrikes that killed over 400 people, including many children, and wounded hundreds more, effectively shattering the fragile ceasefire that had been in place since January 19.
Jimmy discusses how Benjamin Netanyahu had planned to break the ceasefire from the very beginning and how Trump is actively destroying whatever anti-war credibility he has left.

Tulsi Does INSANE 180 Over Trump Bombing Yemen! (16 min)
Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard has called for other countries to join the US in attacking the Houthis in Yemen, a country she previously strongly opposed attacking.
The US launched a major round of airstrikes against Yemen on Saturday and in the days that followed, killing at least 53 people, including women and children. Gabbard said that the US wants countries that are more impacted by a disruption in Red Sea shipping to get involved.
Jimmy discusses Tulsi’s vociferous objection to Trump’s support for Saudi Arabia’s devastating attacks on Yemen during his first administration.

Viral Video Predicts Wall St. To Collapse The Economy AGAIN! w/ Carol Roth
(43 min) Vlogger Tiffany Cianci recently went viral with a video explaining how private equity firms have recently bought up and destroyed well-known brands like Hooters, Jo-Ann Fabrics, Party City and Forever 21, driving these often beloved franchises into bankruptcy. Even worse, she says, the private equity firms have offloaded all the associated debt they took on to purchase these companies in the form of bundled adjustable rate mortgages onto pension funds, and when the bill comes due the likelihood is another crash like we saw in 2008, only worse.
Jimmy speaks with Carol Roth is an American television personality, entrepreneur, radio host, investor and bestselling author Carol Roth about what Cianci gets right - and wrong - about these retail bankruptcies and explains the role private equity plays in the marketplace.

"All of my agencies advise against vaccination of birds... because if you vaccinate with a leaky vaccine... that does not absolutely protect against the disease," RFK Jr. said. Lighthizer is an old swamp creature
His advocacy of protectionism, is only about 40 years too late. Protectionism measures during the Reagan administration were symbolic tokenism. I believe Lighthizer as an old hand on international trade goes whichever way the wind blows. Tariffs now are a deceptive replacement for Reagan tax cuts favoring Wall Street and the billionaire class. The hollowed out financialized economy isn't going to change because of tariffs. Blaming foreign governments for the situation is absurd. The US aristocracy hollowed out the US economy to make themselves wealthier beyond their wildest dreams, with outsourcing, tax avoidance overseas, evading regulations abroad, and labor arbitrage. Somehow, that's the fault of our allies, and China and Mexico. This is all smoke and mirrors.
In a way, this is reminiscent of the onset of the great depression. Closing the barn door now won't change anything because imposing fiscal conservativism and austerity now is just posturing. If people really wanted change, they would tax the billionaires regardless of what overseas tax haven they launder their money in, and not place the burden on working people to pay tariffs and tough it out. If the US aristocracy won't make capital investment at home, tax the shit out of them. They also want to wage war constantly, without paying for it. The monies and capital lost already are opportunity costs already gone, there is no getting them back, this is a pipe dream. This problem was a bi-partisan creation, with democrats deeply implicated as well, placating the wealthy for short term gains.
I'm glad Alex Krainer now has some issues with assuming Trump's appointees are competent. People whose experience is with Special Forces Operations, and Central Command, which has demonstrated strategic incompetence throughout its existence, are simply not up to coping with great power politics with Russia and China. You can't learn on the job. Hegseth and Waltz are completely out of their element. They are amateurs. Trump has good instincts now and then, such as with North Korea and Russia/Ukraine, in this erratic way, he demonstrates occasional insight greater than his advisors. However, he is evidently tied down to the perennial Mideast/Israel debacle which is approaching crisis proportions. Wilkerson and Krainer are right, Trump's advisors are delusional if think something good will come from threatening Iran and wedding our future to misguided, dangerous and inhuman Israeli policies. In Central Command, the world they come from, the assumption is everything Israel does is right. Until that changes we're in trouble.
Tax the rich, stop the wars. That's the way to extricate ourselves. Tariffs are like putting a bandaid on a heart attack.

That was my impression as well. The cabinet's incompetency is pretty obvious, but what's new?
The hypocrisy of tax cuts while trying the balance the budget has always been misleading. I suspect the oligarchy will always avoid paying their fair share. Many financial experts agree we sit on the edge of another great depression. Let's hope not.

I don’t think they really want to use their troops
I think they are pushing the Russia threat so that they can steal people’s money from social services that the globalists have wanted to get their hands on for a long time.

It's a ridiculous decision
They said he did violate the Constitution by failure to appoint the three CC justices approved by the National Assembly to fill the Constitutional Court vacancies but..." it cannot be said the respondent's violation of the Constitution and Laws constitutes a betrayal of trust of the nation indirectly vested through the President, who is the appointing authority."
This is nonsense, it also suggests that Choi, the acting president up to this point, violated the Constitution as well by failing to appoint the last justice, but that's not enough to get dismissed from office (ie., approve the National Assembly's impeachment motion). So what this means is that the acting president standing in for the suspended impeached presidents can just block appointments by the National Assembly at will, even though it's unconstitutional to do so. There was a similar decision with respect to the acting president Han's failure to act on bill to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate Yoon. Initially, as I understood the CC's 5 vote dismissal of the impeachment motion, the National Assembly did not use the correct numerical standard for impeaching the prime minister, that is the standard for impeaching the President, so I don't quite understand why they are making bad law, by addressing these issues on the merits which are moot if that were true. I personally think the decision is very fishy, but I'm not a Korean lawyer, and I could be misinterpreting something.
People are still saying oh Yoon will be impeached. I'm not so sure. However, the oral announcement in its explication of why Han cannot be said to have cooperated with Yoon's imposition of martial law, did say the state council (cabinet) meeting was not properly convened beforehand, and therefore the martial law announcement was unlawful. That's the way I understood it. I have to wait to see what the other analysts and pundits say. I'm sure they will be better informed and qualified than I am.
Thanks Humphrey. Edited 3x for as much clarity as I could give for now. There were two other rejection votes, and only one vote approving Han's dismissal from office.

Correction
I misinterpreted the Court's decision, in part. The statement of the Speaker of the National Assembly says that the numerical standard for a quorum to impeach the acting president was a simple majority, and that today's decision by the Constitutional Court upheld this standard and found it lawful. So the ruling on the actual merits of the case were not moot.
So the breakdown is this. 5 votes to reject the impeachment (simple majority quorum in the National Assembly correct standard for impeachment resolution procedure) so they proceeded to reject the impeachment referral on the merits; One vote approving impeachment (simple majority quorum okay for impeachment referral): and two votes (two conservative judges) referral procedural invalid 2/3 quorum in legislature required for referral, so they voted to dismiss the impeachment referral.

Sp, no. Crashing the economy through tariffs (not to mention all of the firings) will not bring manufacturing back to the US.
