Dems hit all-time low

A majority of Democrats hate Trump and Musk and want the party to fight for their interests, which means they are all suffering from TDS.

When Democrats have been in power, we’ve been timid about passing things that make a difference in [Americans’] lives,” Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz told a town hall meeting in Des Moines.

Some progressive groups urged Schumer to resign; Indivisible said Saturday it would organize for “a Minority Leader who’s up for the fight this moment demands.” A CNN poll released Sunday found a record-low favorable rating for the Democratic Party.

The Dems have never been more unpopular.

Among the American public overall, the Democratic Party’s favorability rating stands at just 29% – a record low in CNN’s polling dating back to 1992 and a drop of 20 points since January 2021, when Trump exited his first term under the shadow of the January 6 attack at on Capitol. The Republican Party’s rating currently stands at 36%.

It's not like the GOP is popular, and once their policy of tax cuts for the wealthy and austerity for working class takes effect, those numbers will drop further. But if the Dems think that just sitting back and letting the Repubs blow up the economy and this will lead them to victory, they are badly mistaken.

As I see it, this could play out in 1 of three ways:
1. The working class starts a new party that replaces the Dems. Unfortunately I see this as the most unlikely.
2. There is a voter rebellion that primaries enough of the Dem establishment that it puts the fear of the grassroots and they actually stand for something. I see this as a 50% chance at best.
3. Trump sends the economy into recession (90% chance), while the Dem establishment manages to kill off yet another voter uprising. The Dems then win in the mid-terms because of the economy, but then get killed in 2028 because they still don't have a positive agenda. Except that this time it's for good, which leads the country to a one-party right-wing government. I see this as the most likely outcome.

@gjohnsit
or the well-being of Americans. So he and Trump with all the anti-Palestine, anti-Iran, anti-1st-Amendment, pro-genocide policy decisions would be on the same wavelength there.

Ditto for any other Democrat whom, for example, the Jewish Insider staff and readership laud and favor.

on your 3 possible outcomes, I hope for 2. For me it's kind of simple. Give the people what they want. Unfortunately that's different from the people who give them the most money. It's why they under fund (if at all) local races. We're the beast they starve.
