Controlling Farms, Food, Health, and War
The globalists seem to try experiments in various countries to expand their control. In the Netherlands they were shutting down and taking farms, but that didn't play well with the public. Now in the UK they have a new strategy to slap farms with a high inheritance tax forcing families to sell their farms to corporations like Blackrock. We'll see how that plays out this year. To my mind COVID was used as a global control experiment. Tobacco corporations became big food and used their understanding of addiction to make foods which were not only addictive but unhealthy. RFK says there's nothing more profitable than a child with a chronic disease. And the big news of the week was the escalation of NATOstan's war with Russia. Will the pentagon manage to halter the Biden regime and prevent WWIII? All that and more below the fold.
Let start with the farm take over in the UK...

Big changes in the 2024 Budget have led to real anger on UK family farms. What's going on?
In last week's Budget, the new Labour Government introduced revised tax rates for Inheritance Tax. From April 2026, the 100% Agricultural Property relief will only be on the first £1,000,000, after that the rate will be 20%. This video explains why this is going to be so damaging to UK family farms. (18 min)

RFK Jr.’s Plans for Reshaping HHS Draw Strong Reactions
Kennedy has said that he will urge Trump on day one to declare a national emergency for chronic disease. Kennedy said he believes little will change until the influence of giant or private corporations on the FDA, the CDC, and the Department of Agriculture is addressed. At a roundtable organized by Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) in September, Kennedy said these agencies “advance the mercantile and commercial interests of the pharmaceutical industry that has transformed them and the food industry into sock puppets for the industry they’re supposed to regulate. Kennedy has vowed to dismiss the officials who lead those agencies and appoint replacements. “FDA’s war on public health is about to end,” he wrote on X on Oct. 25, adding his support for raw milk, ivermectin, hydroxychloroquine, foods with healing properties, and natural remedies such as sunshine.
In September, Kennedy told The Epoch Times that he would revamp the NIH to focus on the causes of autism, autoimmune diseases, and neurodevelopment diseases instead of developing drugs and serving as an incubator for pharmaceutical products. He has also vowed to lead efforts to address the issue of chemicals in ultra-processed foods. He told Fox News he would “get processed food out of school lunch immediately” and said federal food assistance such as food stamps should not go toward junk food.
RFK Jr. vs WaPo First Round In Trump’s Fight With Legacy Media, Censorship
“If we don’t have free speech, then we just don’t have a free country,” President-elect Donald Trump said in a video posted to social media just day after winning reelection on Nov. 5. “Today, I’m announcing my plan to shatter the left-wing censorship regime.” Not mentioned by name, though alluded to, are the various non-profit and for-profit groups that have sprung up to battle “fake news” but typically target outlets that lean right of center. Those group include the Trusted News Initiative (TNI), Media Matters for America (MMFA), the Center for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH) and NewsGuard. “When I am president, this whole rotten system of censorship and information control will be ripped out of the system at large,” Trump also announced.
...
One of Kennedy’s footnoted accusations reads: “By depriving the public of complete scientific information, TNI may have had a calamitous impact on public health. Nearly 100 studies of ivermectin and 400 studies of hydroxychloroquine revealed that the drugs are safe and effective against COVID-19. TNI social media platforms nevertheless took the official position that these repurposed drugs were unsafe and ineffective.” He writes that TNI was doing the bidding of the pharmaceutical companies, given that “federal law prohibits the issuance of an Emergency Use Authorization for any vaccine if any approved drug is demonstrated effective against the target disease.” Kennedy’s letter notes that The Post reported that 70% of calls to one state’s poison control center involved ivermectin, when the real number was 2% (the newspaper ran a correction).
Man on a Mission: The Fight to Confirm RFK Jr. & Make America Healthy Again, ft. Senator Ron Johnson
(52 min) Ron Johnson was elected to the U.S. Senate in 2010 after successfully running a manufacturing business in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, for thirty years. From 2015 to 2021, he served as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs and remains a member of the committee. In September 2024, Senator Johnson led a roundtable discussion titled American Health and Nutrition: A Second Opinion, where he and an assembled panel provided a foundational and historical understanding of the changes that have occurred over the last century in agriculture, food processing, and healthcare industries, which impact the current state of national health. He currently serves as the Ranking Member of the Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations and is also a member of the Budget and Finance committees. Senator Johnson was re-elected to his third term in the U.S. Senate in 2022 and resides in Oshkosh with his wife, Jane. They have three children and four grandchildren.

The COVID Scamdemic
US Played ‘Substantial’ Role In Causing Covid Pandemic – ex-CDC Chief
Robert Redfield, a former director of the US Centers for Disease Control (CDC), has claimed that Covid-19 was artificially developed, and that the US played a “substantial” role in starting the pandemic. Redfield, who led the agency under the administration of US President Donald Trump, made the claim in an interview that was released on November 14, but only drew media attention this week. Speaking to author and podcaster Dana Parish, he suggested that the virus was “intentionally engineered as a part of a biodefense program.” “When you look at the accountability for China, their accountability is not in the lab work and the creation of the virus,” but in their failure to quickly report the incident to health authorities worldwide including the CDC, when they realized the virus was on the loose, he said.
However, the US “role was substantial,” he added. “They funded the research, both from NIH [National Institutes of Health], the State Department’s USAID and the Defense Department.” According to the former CDC chief, the “scientific mastermind behind the research” was Dr. Ralph Baric, widely regarded as one of the world’s leading experts on coronaviruses. Redfield suggested that the professor, who works at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, was “very involved in this research.” “I think he probably helped create some of the original viral line”, Redfield said, admitting he did not have any proof. “I think there is a real possibility that the virus’s birthplace was Chapel Hill.”
US Government Funded Creation of the Coronavirus (Paul Craig Roberts)
Redfield said that the virus was “intentionally engineered as a part of a biodefense program.” I am convinced that the “vaccine” was intentionally designed to reduce the world’s population via early death and infertility. This was the agenda behind the pressure to vaccinate the Earth’s entire population. The vile despicable American media and the corrupt Big Pharma-dominated US medical system continue to deceive Americans with their lies that Covid came from bats and the Covid “vaccine,” which is not a vaccine, is safe and effective.
Big Pharma uses campaign contributions to keep the US Congress silent. Murder and injury larger in scale than Israel’s genocide of Palestine has been covered up by the whore American media and cowardly US Congress. How can Trump make rot this huge great again? If Trump is to get Bobby Kennedy confirmed as Secretary of Health and Human Services, he must begin his speeches now putting the Senate and the American people on notice that Big Pharma will purchase from the Senate a non-confirmation vote.
A Systematic Review Of Autopsy Findings In Deaths After COVID-19 Vaccination
In summary, among the universe of published autopsies performed after COVID-19 vaccination available to date, with a contemporary and independent review, we found that in 73.9% of cases, COVID-19 vaccination was the direct cause or significantly contributed to death. The consistency seen among cases in this review with previously reported COVID-19 vaccine serious adverse events, their known fatal mechanisms, coupled with our independent adjudication, suggests there is a high likelihood of a causal link between COVID-19 vaccines and death. The implications of our study apply to cases of unanticipated death without antecedent illness among COVID-19 vaccine recipients. We can infer that in such cases, death may have been caused by COVID-19 vaccination.

Ukraine Proxy War
Biden Is Trying To Throw Trump Under The Ukrainian Bus
We’ve seen an uproar since it’s become apparent that the US has given Ukraine permission to launch long-range strikes deep inside Russia. There are several reasons for this. Firstly, Moscow’s unequivocal warnings that such a move would be seen as NATO’s direct entry into the war. And secondly the fallout from the dramatic change in the political situation in the US. Of course, in foreign policy terms, it’s on the Ukrainian issue that the differences between the outgoing and incoming American administrations is most visible.
...
A frequently asked question is: why has this decision, which Kiev has been seeking all year, being taken now? Again, there are several purely speculative answers. Officially, the last straw was supposedly the data on the presence of North Korean units in the area of the armed conflict. For which there is no evidence. The White House, it is said, wants to send a signal to Pyongyang that it should stop cooperating with Moscow by authorizing strikes on their alleged bases. There is no point in speculating on the veracity of these claims.
...let’s look at what is in fact the generally accepted opinion of most commentators, both in the West and Russia. The Biden administration is trying to secure its historical legacy and make it as difficult as possible for Trump’s new team to get out of the Ukraine quagmire.
...The final days of Democrat rule in Washington promise to be risky.
White House Refuses to Recognize Responsibility for Escalation in Ukraine
White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre on Thursday declined to acknowledge that US President Joe Biden’s authorization of long-range strikes on Russia with ATACMS missiles had contributed to escalating the conflict, instead placing the blame on Russia. “Every step of escalation comes from Russia. They are the ones who are escalating it,” she alleged when asked whether Biden’s decision to authorize strikes using long-range ATACMS missiles deep into Russian territory was a factor in escalating the conflict in Ukraine. Jean-Pierre claimed that neither Ukraine nor the United States bears responsibility for the escalation. The launch of a Russian missile will not deter US policy towards Ukraine, the press secretary added. The United States will continue to provide new weapons packages to Ukraine and work to expedite their delivery, she said.
These people need a mirror.
Is the Biden regime able to grasp the situation?
Russia’s strike on a Ukrainian defense industrial facility using a new hypersonic ballistic missile system has shown the West that a policy of further escalation will lead to devastating consequences, former UN weapons inspector Scott Ritter has said. America’s recklessness in dealing with Russia, as well as underestimating Moscow’s readiness to respond, has already brought the world dangerously close to an all-out nuclear war, the former US marine officer claimed on the ‘Judging Freedom’ YouTube show on Thursday. Earlier in the day, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the country’s military successfully hit a Ukrainian target with a new intermediate-range ballistic missile called the Oreshnik. The strike was a response to Kiev using US-made ATACMS and HIMARS systems, as well as British-made Storm Shadow missiles in strikes on internationally-recognized Russian territory earlier this week, he added.

Russia’s Hypersonic Strike on Ukraine: Shocking Truth | Scott Ritter, Ray McGovern, Larry C. Johnson
(70 min) Nima has been putting together end of the week compilations like this.
President Vladimir Putin has announced that serial production of the new Oreshnik hypersonic, intermediate range, 36-warhead missile has commenced. He made this announcement at a special public meeting with Defense Ministry officials in the Kremlin on Friday, November 22. “There are no means of countering such a missile; no means of intercepting it exist in the world today,” Putin said. “We need to launch its serial production. Let us assume that the decision on the serial production of this system has been made. As a matter of fact, it has already been essentially organised.” This means there are already, or will shortly be deployed, dozens of Oreshniki missiles for firing at targets in the Ukraine west of the Dnieper River and as far west as the Polish and Hungarian borders. This also means that no American, no NATO staff group, no Anglo-American target intelligence unit in bunkers in Kiev or Lvov are safe any longer.

Leaks expose secret British military cell plotting to ‘keep Ukraine fighting’
Leaked files show top UK military figures conspired to carry out the Kerch bridge bombing, covertly train “Gladio”-style stay-behind forces in Ukraine, and groom the British public for a drop in living standards caused by the proxy war against Russia.
Emails and internal documents reviewed by The Grayzone reveal details of a cabal of British military and intelligence veterans which plotted to escalate and prolong the Ukraine proxy war “at all costs.” Convened under the direction of the British Ministry of Defense in the immediate aftermath of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, the cell referred to itself as Project Alchemy. As British leadership sabotaged peace talks between Kiev and Moscow, the cell put forward an array of plans “to keep Ukraine fighting” by imposing “strategic dilemmas, costs and frictions upon Russia.”

The Israel - Iran War
Israel Preparing to Attack Iranian Nuclear Facilities (Sp.)
The Israeli authorities reached a consensus at all levels of the security system and political echelon on the need to attack Iran’s nuclear facilities, Israeli news portal Walla reported, citing a high-ranking source. Israel also allegedly has the technological capability to carry out such an attack, the report said on Thursday. Israel will not allow Iran to obtain nuclear weapons, the source noted. Economic sanctions against Tehran serve only as a deterrent and are not intended to eliminate Iran’s nuclear project, the source added.
Last week, the Axios news portal reported that Israel’s attack on Iran that took place in late October destroyed an active top secret nuclear weapons research facility of the Parchin military complex and affected the country’s capability to resume nuclear arms research. The destroyed facility reportedly was a part of Iran’s Amad nuclear weapons program, which Tehran is believed to have halted in 2003. In late October, the Israel Defense Forces said that they struck military targets in Iran in response to the October 1 attacks on the Jewish state. Media reported that the Israeli attack on Iran was limited to military assets and did not target nuclear or oil facilities.
I don't know if I believe the destruction of the research facility in last paragraph.

The G20 meeting in Brazil...
The G20 summit in Rio earlier this week offered the quite intriguing spectacle of a deeply divided world, geopolitically and geoeconomically, trying to put on a brave ‘holiday in the sun’ face. There was plenty of fluff to amuse attentive audiences. French President Emmanuel Macron surrounded by a beefy security detail strolling on Copacabana beach near midnight; European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen barefoot in the sand, stunned by the lapping waves; the White House lodger, US President Joe Biden – with his expiry date in less than two months – missing the G20 family pic because he was talking to a palm tree. Right before the summit, Biden posed on a soundstage in the rainforest, complete with two giant teleprompters, pledging to save the Amazon just as his handlers in Washington let leak the “authorization” for Ukraine to attack targets inside the Russian Federation with ATACMS; a qualified preamble for a possible WWIII.
...
... the real star of the show was Chinese President Xi Jinping – fresh from his previous triumph, when he was for all practical purposes coronated King of Peru during the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit in Lima – complete with the inauguration of the $1.3 billion port of Chancay, the new South American node of the Pacific Maritime Silk Road. As China is all about global connectivity corridors, Chancay-Shanghai became an instant new motto ringing all across the Global South.
Beijing’s prime role as an engine and cooperation propeller across Asia–Pacific also applies to most of the G20 members. China is the largest trading partner of the 13 APEC economies, and is responsible for 64.2 percent of Asia-Pacific’s economic growth. This prime role extrapolates to China’s BRICS colleagues among the G20, as well as brand-new BRICS partner-nations such as Indonesia and Turkiye. Compare that with the G7/NATOstan contingent of the G20, starting with the United States, whose main global offerings range from Forever Wars and color revolutions to weaponizing of news and culture, trade wars, a tsunami of sanctions, and confiscation/theft of assets. So, predictably, there was some serious underlying tension permeating the G20, especially when it came to the face-off between the G7 and the Russia-China strategic partnership. Russian President Vladimir Putin didn’t even bother to attend, sending his uber-competent Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov instead.

US Politics...
Former Rep. Matt Gaetz’s, R-Fla., withdrawal from consideration to serve as United States Attorney General and his replacement with Florida’s Pam Bondi has many scratching their heads and some forecasting trouble for his future Cabinet picks. Trump’s nomination of Gaetz shocked Capitol Hill. The conservative firebrand and die-hard MAGA supporter had previously rocked the lower chamber by leading the charge to oust House Speaker Kevin McCarthy last year. His reputation as an anti-institutional wrecking ball, moreover, scared establishment lawmakers stiff. More shocking than his nomination, however, was his withdrawal and speedy replacement with former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi. Neither Gaetz nor Bondi were on most insiders’ shortlists for the post and more than a handful of Republican heavyweights have speculated that the Gaetz nomination may have been some sort of headfake.
Matt Gaetz is currently at Mar-a-Lago, helping build an "America First Army" to take over the DOJ.

Trump Taps COVID-Contrarian Dr. Marty Makary For FDA
In another appointment with potential to shake up the federal health regime, Donald Trump on Friday nominated Dr. Martin Makary to lead the Food & Drug Administration. Makary, a Johns Hopkins University pancreatic surgeon and author of three New York Times bestsellers, has been critical of the government’s role in health care. The role requires Senate confirmation. Declaring that the FDA has “lost the trust of Americans,” Trump said Makary will “course-correct and refocus the agency,” to include “properly evaluat[ing] harmful chemicals poisoning our nation’s food supply and drugs and biologics being given to our nation’s youth, so that we can finally address the childhood chronic disease epidemic.” Makary grew to national notoriety as one of several highly-credentialed physicians who pushed back on many elements of the federal response to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Trump Names Billionaire Scott Bessent As Treasury Secretary
After Trump appointed Howard Lutnick as Commerce Secretary and Kevin Warsh was clearly being groomed as Powell's replacement at the Fed, it was just a matter of time before the most important appointment in the Trump admin was made. That happened late on Friday when president-elect Donald Trump nominated Scott Bessent to lead the Department of the Treasury, ending days of speculation after other names emerged as competitors to the reported favorite.

One of the most powerful means of control is the media. People are becoming aware of the MSM lies and are moving to other platform and alternate sources. Jimmy Dore:
PAY CUT For Maddow With MNSBC On The Chopping Block!
It’s no industry secret that the cable news networks are in trouble. In possibly the worst shape is MSNBC, which has seen ratings crater since Election Day, to the point where the network has had to cut host Rachel Maddow’s already meager $30 million salary down to just $25 million. Now comes news that parent company Comcast may soon spin off MSNBC and CNBC, along with other properties and offer a fire sale.
I appreciate this community for our efforts to find the true stories of our dangerous times. I hope Biden etal don't start WWIII as they leave office. Please add your thoughts, insights, and stories below. The thread is open.

Hey good morning
.
The techniques used by the PTB to control the public
have changed little over the last 50 years. The newer
tech tools now being deployed follow the same script:
1. Invent something that rational minds will surely reject.
2. Swamp the media with supporting misinformation.
3. Commission polls using non-experts to prove the lies.
4. Repeat indefinitely.
Where a small wrench gums up the gears, thinking people
can still separate fiction from reality. Therein lies hope.
PS. Do not zeet ze bugs.

Thank you so much for the in depth and broad content.
Your Sunday column sends so much information each week you make it easier to keep up with the fire hose.
Don't know what to make of Matt Gaetz and some of the nominees. But am heartened by the domestic agency picks on the whole.
Control seems to be the operative word all together doesn't it. And whomever is behind all the rotten stuff going on (clans, families, dynasties?) will stop at nothing. And no bizarre or repulsive act which most of us can even conceive of is beyond execution.
I am frankly outrage fatiqued but believe we must bear witness to atrocity even if it hurts.
Going after Amos Miller, Amish farmer, or other small holders is a favorite tactic. We are in a country rich in connection to donkeys. When a story has a headline featuring donkeys, I stop.
There is a wonderful connection between donkeys and permaculture in this story from Australia.
Our weather here is erratic and unusual. We had dry winter until March/April. Then cool and wet until September. A few weeks of Summer followed but back to Thunderstorms with microbursts including one last week. Too much rain too fast in September and October but similar to the Summer weather. Flooding and high wind.
Now we have gone from -5c to +18c in under twenty four hours. The winds overnight averaged 35 kh and now are 50 kh. Good for drying clothes if they can be kept on the line. It's a challenge.
Getting ready to try to hang some Çhristmas garlands (guirlandes) on the front of the house. Maybe a fool's errand.
Probably will grill/roast a Turkey hind quarter for Thanksgiving. Very hard to find a ready to eat Turkey before Christmas. They are still too young this early. Never get giblets which I love for gravy and broth in Turkeys here. Dog food?
Town lights and Black week sales are going on. Each town, city and hamlet has their signature lighting scheme from now until 6 January (Epiphany).
Most cows are now in barns until 15 March. We have not figured out how they lie down. They can't possibly stand for four months can they? We also haven't figured out how they decide which few cows and some with Fall calves stay outside.
The newborn calves are so very white and behave like fawns curled up in the grass. The bulls have bred cows for spring/summer next year and are now safely penned.
We are still looking for raw milk, goat or cow, but so far no luck.
Happy Thanksgiving Caucus 99 and I give thanks for this plank of sanity.

I think the real villains operate globally. I cheer on the attempt to address the deep state/blob, but think they are so entrenched it will be an impossible task. However, just starting to educate the public of the evil bastards driving war, ill health, and so on will be useful.
The donkey story is typical. TPTB have decided they must be killed, despite the way they minimize fire...and refuse to listen to the evidence. (COVID is a great example of the same process.) I think the farm hearing happens this month down under. Maybe there will be some justice.
I bought a turkey yesterday to cook this week. We have a small dairy one valley over that sells raw milk labeled for pets. Enjoy your Thanksgiving and Christmas markets!

Good morning, LO!
Remember my plan to sell my sports car and buy a tractor? Well, it was beautifully painted and spruced up by the agent. He has many contacts with paint and body shops, can get parts at a discount, so the upgrades he made for $2200 would have cost me double. Well, it didn't sell. I don't want to drive to the east side of Houston to get it, so I hired some friends to go get it. I can devote my day to your WW.
The reason I kept it this long was for insurance in the event my SUV or truck was getting repaired. Well, that situation arose, and Dear One had to chauffeur me to and from work. And as luck would have it, a client just happens to be in the business of mowing, and he has made me a real deal for future mowing jobs.
Thanks for all you do, dear friend. I hope to add something cogent in the thread as the day goes by.

Subtitle: The White House recognises that negotiations to end the conflict are inevitable, but it wants to delay the day of judgment.
The neocon cabal's primary fantasy at this point is in fact one of negotiations. In the neocon fantasy world, there will be negotiations, an armistice, and then the West will embark upon a massive campaign of rearmament with the end in mind of defeating Russia.
The Russians, on the other hand, do not want anything of the sort. Decades of built-up mistrust of said neocon cabal will prevent them from entering negotiations any time soon. There has not been a Trump proposal that wasn't a nonstarter, and Trump is too arrogant to come up with, or endorse, anything of value. Humiliating defeat for the West would work; all else is chatter. Maybe the Canadian Parliament will applaud another Nazi to cement the current situation further. Or something like that.
The Mark Sleboda interview in my last diary suggests another secret neocon hope: the Russians will choke on Ukraine. Policing Ukraine will be costly, he argues. This sounds like the future to me. More war, lots of people dying, for a long time to come. There was no doubt a really good reason why the Russian Civil War did not end in a settlement. As Sleboda said: I'd be happy to be proven wrong.

I hope you're incorrect...
...but time will tell. I'm not optimistic either.
It seems obvious to me that they better negotiate with Russia, or face an ass whippin'...in fact they've already lost and it is obvious.
Now will Trump be reasonable? We'll see.
Thanks for the visit today!

aren't negotiations generally between the two warring sides?

kind of agreement can be reached.

I seriously doubt that Russia will be negotiating
...with Ukraine. Ukraine is already finished — unless the US intends to provides that nation's needs for the foreseeable future. From what 've read, Ukraine is a bankrupt and dead nation in every respect.
The West may want to negotiate with Russia, however, one wonders what the West has to offer that Russia would want.
According to Orlov.
.
I'm certain Russia has a likely endgame for Ukraine. Meanwhile, according to Orlav, Russia can do what it is doing indefinitely, which is creating a DMZ for Russians who live in the borderlands — or until Ukraine is completely de-Nazified, whichever happens first. Meanwhile, it's obvious that the Nazis are operating out of NATO, and they have been doing so since NATO was formed.
Russia is now well aware than the US does not have a functioning defense or offense in nuclear weaponry.
.
The last democratically elected President of Ukraine was the choice of the Russian-Ukrainians who live in the Borderlands (dark blue). Their president was illegally overthrown by the US Neocons. The ethnic Russians who helped elect him are under attack by the Nazis forces in Ukraine. These are the lands and the people that Russia is protecting.
There's nothing to negotiate.
I agree...
Russia has won the war and will dictate the outcome at some point. I wonder how de-nazification happens. Eliminating an ideology is a difficult task.
Thanks for your informative comment!

Hi all
Hi LO!
Thanks for the OT and great Weekly Watch. It's way better than that Weekly Reader I used to read.
Bunch of great vids, THANKS!
Couple nights ago I heard my first geese of the fall going south just after midnight high up. White-fronted here.Just the last few days American Goldfinch and Cedar Waxwing showed up.
Sounds like you had great color this fall... still waiting a way down south below 30 N. For lots of trees cool nights and DRY makes the best colors. Warm and wet makes brown leaves.
happy trails all!

We had the dry this year for sure...
...but we're recovering. Walked up to the brow of the mountain today under the colorful canopy. It was lovely with the sun showing off the colors.
We've got our usual wrens, titmouse, Nut Hatch, phoebe, pecker woods, and so on...heard an oven bird today.
All is well and there's plenty to do here in the holler. Glad you came by, brother birder!

how silly..
I'll sign off with this one. I remember going to sleep listening to the radio. Is that a thing of past?

Dr. Gao is very apolitical
She's a professor of philosophy in Australia. She typically talks about ethics, poetry, philosophy, government, customs, and worldview of classical China. I don't quite understand the intent of her short video today. Nominally, Dr. Gao did a video on the traditional Chinese character for number: 數 shù (soo in Korean). She discusses its use in a classical Chinese context, and concludes with this four character Chinese expression for:

I Ching and the Chinese character for number 數
So I guess this is a form of divination appropriate for the times. My pinyin may be off, she doesn't use pinyin and her pronunciation is sometimes difficult to follow. I read it Ki shu, i jin.
Empire's vitality, already exhausted. Her brief on the character for number seems oddly appropriate for the times.
notes:
四字成語 Sì zì chéngyǔ four character idiom in Chinese
사자성어 sa ja seong eo four character idiom in hangul (Korean alphabet). The traditional Chinese characters or Hanja are the same as the traditional Chinese. A Korean practice borrowed from Chinese. Traditional Chinese characters are no longer used frequently in Korean and only for limited purposes, for example personal names, and to disambiguate homophones.
These pithy expressions are popular in Korea.
Thanks for the WW Lookout, I'm still picking through the videos and posts you collected. Dr. Kissinger's world view gone with the wind?

Awesome QMS
I've listened to a couple of Dr. Gao's presentations on limited aspects of I Ching. I admit I don't understand it. It's difficult for me. I don't get it about the hexagrams. I'm sure it bears a lot of study.
When I lost access to the internet for a few days, I started to read a translation of the Analects. Dr. Gao also had some interesting presentation on Confucius and the metaphysics of the Dao. More often, I just listen to her stories about poets and her translations of their poetry. I need to be in the right state of mind for that. It hasn't really been possible lately. Too chaotic.
On 4, I think it's just a convention or challenge to express some worthy observation, principle or analogy, in a small number of words. I'm by no means an expert, but there are similar conventions in poetry, and a scholar might be judged by how well he had mastered the syllable limit structure for particular style of poetry. There is at least one classical story where one legendary figure or another is put in life threatening situation from which he or she may only escape by composing on the spot some poem that fits the classical poem constraints and describes the situation cleverly.

OK, that makes more sense of the # 4
somehow I missed that aspect
thanks, your understandings

Is the discussion related to Hexagram #4?
It's interesting looking at this mystery through your own curious eyes.
From my own research, conducted over a number of years, I recall that the 64 hexagrams are each presented with a short passage of traditional text at the beginning — along with a line of text describing the dynamics of the two trigrams that form the hexagram. I never thought of this as poetry, although it does contain evocative descriptions of images of natural phenomena.
The German Jesuits (and Franciscans) who first translated most of China's philosophical works called these lines of text that accompanying the 64 hexagrams, "The Judgement." Down the millennia, there have also been ancient commentaries by notable philosophers and Kings that were appended to the pages of the I Ching. I recall that Hexagram 4 stands out as tricky to interpret when the I Ching is used for divination. This hexagram is often named "Youthful Folly" and it pops up at odd times. The concept seems both too simple and too complex for clear interpretation.
Most early translations of the spiritual or philosophical documents of China were done by the Catholic Church, in order to defend its own holy franchise. The I Ching was first translated into German. The first English language versions were usually translated from the German translations into English.
There are many subtle mathematical phenomena embedded in the I Ching, as well. For many centuries before it was a book, it was a bundle of 64 engraved tablets, or a collection of bamboo parchments bundled together in no particular order. Several systems of random number generators were used to select the proper page to read. Over time, a certain King Wen developed an arrangement of binary numbers (ones and zeros) to bring order to the pages. His binary ordering system came about about 2,000 years too early. It is my personal view that the I Ching is a farming almanac that emerged from the agrarian age. It preceded the written form of the Chinese language and used the cycles of natural phenomena and relationships, along with mathematics and random number generation, to predict coming events.
Thanks for the I Ching lesson
My focus was on the format of four characters in Chinese rather than the I Ching system, although, that is a very interesting and much broader topic. I was thinking primarily of a linguistic tradition of expressing an observation, relationship, or analogy in this short four character format. This has been quite popular among scholars and academics in Korea for hundreds of years, originally expressed in Chinese characters. The interpretation of the expression can change over generations as the cultural or social context changes but is thought to still have a general application as an idiom succinctly expressed. I thought the characters I captured in the screen shot above from the video was such an idiomatic expression. I changed the original interpretation of dynasty to the more contemporary "empire." Dr. Gao was focused on an older usage of 數 as quantity, rather than number, and placing that particular divination in a historical court context.
The four character expression that always comes to my mind when I think about this topic in general is 賊反荷杖 "the thief turns carrying a stick." This is a reference to the impudence and hypocrisy of the wrongdoer who turns on the victim(s) of their criminal act(s) and falsely accuses them of wrongdoing. This could be readily be applied to various state actors today. I found a few lists of many of these expressions in Hanja and Hangul on some south Korean blogs, but for some reason I am unable to copy them for reference. I suppose the collected sayings represent a lot of work by the respective bloggers, typically they are only found in isolation to represent a particular theme or idea.
I questioned myself about the four character literary tradition in China. This led me to the wikipedia entry on the Book of Songs. Dr. Gao provided the reference to the Book of Songs.
In the past, I had superficially noticed the mathematic and binary qualities in hexagrams. Seemed so advanced. In the video Dr. Gao refers to interpreting yarrow stems. Your explanation really puts the I Ching in historical context, thanks Pluto's Republic. It's quite interesting.

.... for me, at least. Small details that, when unpacked, are clues to the life-long mysteries that are the providence of self-taught scholars. Small explosive understandings along the way that change everything.
I believe the "Judgements" I earlier mentioned may be inserts from the Book of Odes, or other four character expressions. A few contemporary comments from Confucius will make a passing appearance in that river of ancient text that flowed down the millennia. This also included uncredited concepts from Lao Tzu, thoughts of Sun Tzu and Taoist martial arts, Buddhist-attitudes-with-Chinese-characteristics, and myriad treasures. But the simple explanation is that during one narrow ancient timeline — all if these philosophers and their flourishing schools of thought, were living contemporaries. In that same time tunnel, the first Buddist monks were traveling across China from India, toward Japan, where they ultimately took root as Zen. meanwhile the earliest compilation of the ancient I Ching tablets were being organized and assembled into a book with 64 chapters. (In the West at that time, Plato was contemporaneously writing the foundation of Western philosophy.) Europe was a block of ice, slowly thawing out and riding about 900 years behind the unfolding genius of China, and believing, to-this-day, that they were systematically inventing 'new' technologies. Sigh.
You have opened the vision of Korean thinking to my mix. I appreciate that very much. It lights up some of the darkness in my global views.
It's odd really PR
...that my interest in the East began as a teenager reading Zen books my mother, a librarian, left about the house. I was also interested in Japanese art work, and would try to imitate the technique.
I never forgot that unique Zen perspective, and nurtured a desire to go back to it, after my personal/professional exploration of the "west" left me feeling inadequate. It was not to be except by luck and happenstance in later years. Korean was a good gateway to the Chinese culture. I remember my first dictionary in Korean was a Horace Grant Underwood dictionary. He was a Christian missionary. Go figure.
My thoughts about East Asian culture are quite similar to those you have expressed so well. So many discoveries, as it were, for me, are accidental, or coincidental, and reveal connections, that I was either unaware of, had overlooked or forgotten. The moral, ethical, cultural and metaphysical aspects have a great impact.
I posted quite a bit on The Emperor Sun Quan, a guzheng piece I had come to particularly enjoy, on SPs thread yesterday, and couldn't remember why the story line in a translation to English I found, sounded so familiar. I just realized today, by going through my internet history that the story of Sun Quan, the first "emperor" of the Wu kingdom, was in the early chapters of Romance of the Three Kingdoms. I had started reading an online translation, and had put it aside, feeling I didn't know enough to keep track of all the characters. So I'm watching the movie Red Cliff as an easier more entertaining route. I learned so much by watching South Korean historical dramas, especially listening to Ms. So comment on them. Dynastic Korea regarded China as the standard of civilization, and I believe their scholar class and their nobles at court tried to emulate the Chinese practices.
I really appreciated the Jason video on Shenzhen you posted. I thought it had excellent Mandarin subtitles, and I spent a lot of time, literally going through it, almost line by line, as a learning experience. I had a few Hanja dictionaries, which were a gateway, to trying to learn Mandarin. It's an ongoing stop and go project.
I once listened to some BBC type alpha hotels on youtube, traveling through China on motorcycles, who basically said that people attempting to see deeper meaning in Chinese characters are stupid or something along those lines, "it's just a language." I disagree. This is one reason I like to watch Dr. Gao go through her translation process in interpreting Chinese classical poetry (if I have time). I'm also fond of Dr. Hanzi's etymological database on Mandarin. I saw "oracle bones" in Taipei and in Seoul decades ago. It was one of the more significant experiences or influences in my life. The sense of a ancient continuous history was very profound. If I happen to read some academic piece on a Chinese subject, I'm disappointed if the key ideas as expressed in Chinese are not printed in Mandarin while they are being explained in English.
The traditions are living contemporaries as well. Thanks so much for your insights.
