Election Day

open thread_165.jpg
Here we are at election day. Have fielded numerous calls from so many people I don't know.
I haven't a clue how they get my phone number. Most want me to just vote, but some prefer my vote goes either here or there.
Family is split between Trump and Harris. None but me have decided on Stein.
I'm actually thinking of not voting at all and doing a reality check or maybe sting operation.
Last week I received a letter in the mail from some Democrat cut-out called Center for Voter Information, or some such, telling me that they can tell from the Elections Office if I voted in the last election. The letter stated that they could not determine who I voted for, but if I voted.
Not sure how that works, but if I don't turn in a ballot, I presume weeks after the election I should not be shown to have voted.
Of course, if I'm shown to have voted it would only confirm my suspicions that the whole election process is fraught with incompetence, fraud, and rigging.
Not that either Trump or Harris will have any effect on the wars in the middle east. The Uniparty is unified on that.
From the myriad sources I read, both wars will require American troops on the ground to succeed.
The western narrative is still: Russia cannot be allowed to defeat Ukraine and Israel must absorb Palestine.
Oh, and of course China must not be allowed to invade itself.
Clown world indeed.
Going to completely ignore the election returns and spend the next couple of days up at the farm with no tv or radio.
Gonna read up on carrier pigeons.
Somebody help me out with the old 60s: "Turn-on, something/something, drop out". I forget how it went.
Thread is open.

The Choice Tomorrow is between two Politicians who have both pledged to commit several felonies in order to enable genocide.
ITAR, the Foreign Assistance Act, the Leahy Amendment and the Genocide Convention are of no importance when campaign contributions are at stake.
The open corruption and craven depravity of Western elites shows that their sense of privilege and impunity is without limit.
I don’t believe it is.

Kamala won’t be able to do squat about abortion because it’s now delegated to state’s rights and with a split congress nothing will get passed that she promised. If she did promise anything?

has apparently put up signs in all the voting booths that Stein votes will not be counted. The Greens didn't have their nominating convention until 8/17, whereas the Ohio deadline was 8/12, so the ballots have the wrong person for VP (Anita Rios, their previous gubernatorial candidate, instead of Butch Ware). So, the Uniparty SoS has decided to disqualify the Greens entirely, and simply ignore those votes.

Cornel West really did a number on the Greens when he abruptly dropped off the Green ticket to go his own way. That increased their usual and customary disarray, until Dr. Stein decided to throw her hat back into the ring, rather than let them go a cycle without running anybody at all. That would have really wrecked their neverending ballot access efforts, especially in places like New York, where access is based on your party's perfomance in the previous presidential cycle.

But you are absolutely right: they should have this all well in hand by now. If I were an Ohio resident planning on voting on election day, I'd very likely have just walked out at that point.

I only voted in the last several cycles because they mail me my ballot, and I drive right past the county lockbox on the way to my favorite bar. Voting has been reduced to a complete waste of time, in any case.

At this point, I'm starting to believe that the only reason they have elections is for the ensuing riots, so that the militarized cops will have someone for target practice. We can't be letting those 'roid-ragers get bored, now can we?

@usefewersyllables Yes, well at least Ohio wasn't coy about disqualifying Greens s/. In New York the ballot only offers 2 choices for Pres, Harris or Trump. Vote for anyone else and you have to write-in. You can write in Jill and your vote will be counted, but if you write in RFK Jr your vote will be voided. That's because the NY Board of Elections has to "certify" all write-in candidates for Pres, and they did not certify RFK Jr, for unknown reasons. Then the B of E didn't let anyone know who had and hadn't been certified until October 22--they posted the list as a stand-alone doc, not on their website--when mail-in ballots had been sent out Sept. 20. How many people have erroneously thought they could write in RFK Jr and have their votes counted?

I am not voting. My political views do not matter here in rednecksville. Wouldn't change a thing, except get me called for jury duty sooner, which is 60 miles away each way. Which is just another way they suppress the vote.

If we are electronically voting, how is that we cannot hit a button AT ANY MOMENT and have a total? Days? Really?

CNN

Several non-credible bomb threats that briefly disrupted voting at two Georgia polling places originated from Russia, Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger told reporters Tuesday.

“We’ve heard some threats that were of Russian origin. I don’t know how to describe that that’s viable – we don’t think they are, but in the interest of public safety, we always check that out, and we’ll just continue to be very responsible when we hear about stuff like that,” Raffensperger said. “We identified the source, and it was from Russia.”

“They’re up to mischief, it seems, and they don’t want us to have a smooth, fair and accurate election,” he added. “Anything that can get us to fight amongst ourselves - they can count that as a victory.”

Raffensperger, a Republican, did not elaborate on how exactly state officials determined the bomb threats came from Russia.

Must be like they are interfering in the election, but no one shows what exactly they are doing to do it. Just take our word for it…because Russia-bad. And yes people are believing it.

They said they KNEW it was from Russia because it came from somewhere with a .ru on the end. Fortunately, we know there are no hackers capable of spoofing email addresses... I live in a rural area between 2 small towns, each around 20 miles away. This morning, I had to take someone to pick up a vehicle from the mechanic’s shop in one town. Then I had to turn around and go to the other town because today was also my day to pick up my senior box of groceries. They start giving out at 10:00 and I got there around 20 minutes later.

I only had to wait behind 2 cars. The lady I talked with, who checked my ID told me that they had to start early because there were so many cars, overflowing the lot, that they were backing up into the street. So, tell me again how good the economy is.

This second town is a really red town, and I would consider somewhat backwards in a lot of ways. Surprisingly, I saw a Harris/Walz billboard. This is the first one I have seen anywhere in Florida. It said something about Joy and Hope at the bottom. Joy and hope are not going to feed you.

Thinking about Ohio, there must be enough shitlibs back there that one or more has infilteated the Greens and any other seemingly left leaning party. That, in its essence, is fascism--ownership of government by an individual, by a group, or by any other controlling private power. -- Franklin D. Roosevelt --

... is still a vote for Evil. This time around, given the choices, the only real alternatives were Jill Stein, whom I supported in similar circumstances back in 2016, and RFK Jr. This time, I went for Jr., mainly out of admiration of his courage in taking on the Dem establishment despite some discomfort with his somewhat hawkish stance on Israel. Had RFK Jr. hooked up with someone better known, such as Tulsi Gabbard, I think that could have been a meaningful third choice compared to what we ended up with again this time.

By the way, did anyone notice who was among those on the same stage at Trump's penultimate rally in Pittsburgh last night? Both Mike Pompeo and Tulsi were there showing their support, and yet, even as recently as 2022, Tulsi was calling Pompeo a warmonger. It will be interesting to see whose foreign policy advice gets implemented in a second Trump administration, given Trump's statement on the Rogan interview that it was Pompeo who talked him into cutting back on release of the JFK assassination files.

I, for one, have remained faithful to these sovereign generational values for most of my life. They were divinely inspired and they truly do contain the powerful knowledge that our insufficiently-evolved brains have yet to connect to and process. When humankind finally exits the era of Organized Religion, one can expect to see great things manifest.

Earthling, I too have received several letters and electronic messages from shadowy sources warning me that if I do not vote in this election, my entire deplorable non-voting record would be published as a Public Record.

This unprecedented personal threat has confirmed for me certain things that I have believed for my entire life:

First of all, the threat letters assumed that I would be a Democrat — the political party where the Left is sequestered and forever rendered ineffectual. Since I have never registered to vote, this letter is likely based on full-spectrum intelligence.

However, the payload confirmation for me is the knowledge that if the USians were to enact a 'Vote Strike' during a Federal Election, it would deliver a devastating blow to the 'corporate junta' that has seized control of the Federal Government. A mortal blow heard round the world. Never forget, you have the power to express your disgust to the world. That's how change will begin.

Thumbs up for Stein supporters (aka. non-voters), along with other non-voters.

As an aside, I've followed the Chinese public on the Internet to determine their thinking and consensus on this election. They have recently started to grow ever more aware that the US is a criminally insane global entity. While they generally resonate with Kamala Harris, they tend to pull for Donald Trump. Why? Because he is so deeply stupid. And this would be a good thing for China.

In other news, I have a hunch (you could call it a prediction, if you like) that Kamala Harris will win based on my own logical analysis of how the US Electoral process functions, and who's paying for it..

Onward.

Some of the people in congress have been there 50 years or more and they have been promising to make our lives better the whole time and yet our lives have gotten worse every year. Just look back a few decades and see the changes. No decent jobs for the masses because of NAFTA. No safety net because of welfare reform. Most public services have been privatized and we get screwed more and more….healthcare is unaffordable for most people or they’re paying buko bucks with high premiums and deductibles….

Meanwhile the country is creating more billionaires every year while more folks sink into poverty.

Hey, E.L.!

I saw a former acting head of the FBI, years ago, on Fox news, say this:

What's ironic is that all of us at the Bureau consider it to be part of our mission statement, to keep self-proclaimed socialists, and progressives, from ever achieving political power.

I would guess that they infiltrated the Greens within the first few years of their existence. Green Party in Germany: major political player. Green Party in the USA: non-serious hobbyists. I voted for Stein in 2016, but no more. When both Prez and VP say they have no ideas about foreign relations, and can't even work a small crowd as well as a drunk slam poet, well... Also couldn't help but notice that Dr. West, for a socialist, has an awful hard time talking to the working class.

So yeah, it's good to know that my tax dollars are helping to keep me from ever getting anything political, that I want to see enacted. Such a free country...
