Little elections
I had a guy come to my door yesterday and introduce himself as Will Fuentes, candidate for commissioner for the third district of Clark County, Washington. It is a non-partisan position.
It has been years since a genuine candidate came to my door. I can't even remember who that was, but I was impressed that he actually canvassed on his own with no one accompanying him. He talked for a while about his positions and even asked if I had some concerns he should know about. He seemed to have my values and concerns already tasked, so I just thanked him for coming by.
I do remembering voting for him though.
Will Fuentes was not as engaging but asked if I was registered to vote and was I planning to vote, and I affirmed both. He was also alone.
He also asked if I had any concerns, but I couldn't think of any pressing issues in the county that I felt needed to be addressed. Oh sure, fewer potholes, and more upkeep in county parks, but I'm focused on much more important things involving Genocide, trillion dollar defense budgets, and an unseen hidden shadow government pulling strings worldwide.
But he was young and full of energy and just beginning his public service journey.
So I checked my Voters Pamphlet and sure enough, I had checked his box to vote for come election day. His opponent was a no nothing dog. He may challenge my policy of never voting for incumbents, and I hope he does well.
Little elections are where we get our great statesmen started.
YAY. I got something right.
Morning news is reporting more voter drop boxes being set afire, now one a couple of blocks away.
I'll not be depositing my ballot in a drop box. In the mail it goes.

I could want to vote against
a number of people on the florida ballot, but I may not have time to get over there. Usually, when we go to the polls, we are humiliated in some way. Last time I was told my identity was suspicious and was given a tentative paper ballot or something like that. As usual, I said something like WTF are you talking about? Usually Ms. So gets that treatment as well, because she looks Chinese or something, or they don't like her name. When I start fussing the police come over, etc. So F 'em. After all that shit over the years, literally, neither of us gives a s..t, anymore.
But skeletor does suck, and so do some of the local judges and the mayor, and the city council. I'd vote against all them, if I get a chance. They're alpha hotels.
On the bright side, mindless and exhausted last night, my brief browsing, caused me to discover, the great young Japanese singer Aki, 19 years old, who has been singing since age 4, and has great taste in Korean traditional songs, where she has won various competitions. I love her selection of Korean songs to perform.

I hope the tooth yank is painless and uncomplicated. Also, I hope your meal planning for the next few days will accommodate e2.
I find everything odd about the drop box fires. They are suddenly common. To make it even stranger, all police depts. have access to arson investigators. While any cop on the street can investigate murders, it takes specialists to work arson cases. As of this morning, I have not read about a suspect being identified, or a person of interest being identified, anywhere.
I would not mail in a ballot here. A main postal center in Houston was destroyed several years ago. A piece of mail no longer goes 40 minutes away to be sorted. Instead, it first goes to Dallas, 5 hours away. A letter sent to a town 14 miles east of my home can take 3 weeks to arrive.
But we have billions of $ for Israel and Ukraine. Priorities, man.
Maybe commenters can keep you busy so the waiting room time passes quickly in your mind. I could do my passage of time, unencumbered shtick, but I will spare you that sick and twisted humor!!!

Or so they say. But probably you can't, not in this time and place. There are two obvious reasons for this grim reality: 1) your vote is only one vote, and 2) most, if not all, of the candidates fall into the category of "not your fight to pick." You, in short, aren't going to win enough if said candidate wins anything, and you won't lose enough if the candidate loses. Well, you won't win or lose enough to make it your worthwhile to do anything about it.
The big problem lurking behind the small one is that our whole civilization drifts around without a purpose. America in the Sixties briefly had a purpose. It was a deeply flawed purpose, but at least it had one. The Green Party has a purpose, but with them we're talking about five people in a room, and four of them are closet Democrats. The America of today funds and arms a genocide while looking the other way. That's not a purpose.
With ballot initiatives you might stand a chance. As for the Presidential election, here is this year's theme song:

Over and over both parties as well as key support groups sent out push polls. They invvaiably ask which of various pre-selected goals is most important to the recipient, or what priorities said recipient would assign to each of various pre-selected goals. There is no place for "skip atem 3, it is evil" or "add item x and make it priority number 1".
Whether they both with the fundraising polls or not, the agenda is already set by tptb and, truth be told, so is the ranking

Election officials here are saying that anyone who put their ballot in those burned out boxes can get a new ballot.
But how does anyone know if your ballot was burned up?
In a stupid attempt to eliminate Harris votes in "blue" cities they are just as likely to boost the number of votes for Harris with duplicate ballots, which will not be known till after the election.
