"I have issued the command, and I'll have anybody who utters but one word of criticism executed by a firing squad, that our war aim does not consist in reaching certain lines, but in the physical destruction of the enemy. Accordingly, I have placed my death's-head formation in readiness, for the present only in the East, with orders to them to send to death mercilessly and without compassion, men, women, and children of Polish derivation and language. Only thus shall we gain the living space which we need. Who, after all, speaks today of the annihilation of the Armenians?"

Israeli Snipers Routinely, Deliberately Shoot Palestinian Kids In The Head

There’s yet another doctors’ testimony about Israeli forces constantly shooting Palestinian children in the head, this one published in The New York Times.

The report, titled “65 Doctors, Nurses and Paramedics: What We Saw in Gaza,” begins as follows:

“I worked as a trauma surgeon in Gaza from March 25 to April 8. I’ve volunteered in Ukraine and Haiti, and I grew up in Flint, Mich. I’ve seen violence and worked in conflict zones. But of the many things that stood out about working in a hospital in Gaza, one got to me: Nearly every day I was there, I saw a new young child who had been shot in the head or the chest, virtually all of whom went on to die. Thirteen in total.

“At the time, I assumed this had to be the work of a particularly sadistic soldier located nearby. But after returning home, I met an emergency medicine physician who had worked in a different hospital in Gaza two months before me. ‘I couldn’t believe the number of kids I saw shot in the head,’ I told him. To my surprise, he responded: ‘Yeah, me, too. Every single day.’”

Numerous named medical staff who worked in Gaza then testify in the report about routine encounters with children who’d been shot in the head and chest by Israeli forces, as well as children and infants suffering from severe malnutrition and easily preventable infections.

Such reports have been coming out all year. Because Israel has not been allowing foreign press into Gaza, medical staff have in many ways become the de facto western journalists on the ground in the enclave — and they are all saying the same thing.

Back in July a group of 45 doctors and nurses who’d been working in Gaza signed an open letter to President Biden testifying that “every single signatory to this letter treated children in Gaza who suffered violence that must have been deliberately directed at them.”

“Specifically, every one of us on a daily basis treated pre-teen children who were shot in the head and chest,” the letter continues.

Also in July, Politico published an article by two American surgeons named Mark Perlmutter and Feroze Sidhwa titled ‘Nothing Prepared Us for What We Saw’: Two Weeks Inside a Gaza Hospital,” which contains the following passage:

“We started seeing a series of children, preteens mostly, who’d been shot in the head. They’d go on to slowly die, only to be replaced by new victims who’d also been shot in the head, and who would also go on to slowly die. Their families told us one of two stories: the children were playing inside when they were shot by Israeli forces, or they were playing in the street when they were shot by Israeli forces.”

In April an article titled “‘Not a normal war’: doctors say children have been targeted by Israeli snipers in Gaza” was published in The Guardian, citing nine doctors who’d worked in Gaza after October 7 who “reported treating a steady stream of children, elderly people and others who were clearly not combatants with single bullet wounds to the head or chest.”

Forensic pathologists were able to identify bullets used by the Israeli military in these attacks on children:

“The Guardian shared descriptions and images of gunshot wounds suffered by eight children with military experts and forensic pathologists. They said it was difficult to conclusively determine the circumstances of the shootings based on the descriptions and photos alone, although in some of the cases they were able to identify ammunition used by the Israeli military.”

In February the Los Angeles Times published an article titled “I’m an American doctor who went to Gaza. What I saw wasn’t war — it was annihilation”. The author, a reconstructive surgeon named Irfan Galaria, writes as follows:

“On one occasion, a handful of children, all about ages 5 to 8, were carried to the emergency room by their parents. All had single sniper shots to the head. These families were returning to their homes in Khan Yunis, about 2.5 miles away from the hospital, after Israeli tanks had withdrawn. But the snipers apparently stayed behind. None of these children survived.”

So this is happening. The evidence is undeniable, and the sourcing is as solid as it gets. There are mountains upon mountains of rock solid proof that Israeli forces routinely, deliberately shoot Palestinian children in the head in Gaza.

The only reason this isn’t being treated as an established fact by the western political-media class is because the Israeli military denies it, telling The Guardian in response to the aforementioned report that “The IDF only targets terrorists and military targets. In stark contrast to Hamas’s deliberate attacks on Israeli civilians, including men, women and children, the IDF follows international law and takes feasible precautions to mitigate civilian harm.”

“Doctors say otherwise,” The Guardian wrote.

Indeed, there is no longer any fact-based reason to deny that Israel is deliberately targeting children with sniper fire. The facts are in and the case is closed. The only basis anyone can have for denying this established fact is their own personal loyalty to the state of Israel and its military, and/or their own personal disdain for Palestinian lives.

This fact punches holes in so many of the narratives used to defend Israel over the past year. That Israel is conducting itself in a more ethical way than Hamas. That Israel is waging a war against Hamas and not the Palestinian people. That the IDF are “the most moral army in the world” and are taking extraordinary measures to avoid civilian casualties. That civilians are being killed in Gaza because Hamas uses them as “human shields”. That this is a war fought for Israel’s self-defense, and not a campaign of extermination driven by racism and hate.

There is simply no way to believe any of these things are true when you acknowledge the extensively-documented fact that Israeli forces are routinely shooting children in the head throughout the Gaza Strip.

Biden and Netanyahu speak as Gallant warns of ‘deadly’ surprise attack on Iran

Joe Biden and Benjamin Netanyahu spoke for the first time in weeks on Wednesday amid expectations of an imminent Israeli strike on Iran, which Yoav Gallant warned would be “deadly, precise and surprising”. Netanyahu’s defence minister issued the warning in a video message on Israeli media on Wednesday night, broadcast after he postponed a scheduled trip to Washington.

Gallant said that the Iranian missile attack on Israel on 1 October had been a failure but would be avenged. “Whoever attacks us will be hurt and will pay a price. Our attack will be deadly, precise and above all surprising, they will not understand what happened and how it happened, they will see the results,” the Israeli defence minister said.

Gallant’s video message was broadcast a few hours after the conversation between Netanyahu and Biden, their first in seven weeks, which was joined by the vice-president, Kamala Harris, whose presidential campaign could be upset by the widening hostilities in the Middle East and any consequent spike in oil prices. It also emerged on Wednesday that Netanyahu last week spoke with Harris’s opponent, Donald Trump.

The timing and scope of the Israeli retaliation is still unclear, and a miscalculation could propel Iran and Israel into a full-scale war, which neither side says it wants. The US, Israel’s staunch ally, is wary of being drawn into the fighting, and of oil price shocks.

The Biden administration is keen to weigh in on Israel’s plans and avoid surprises like the Israeli killing of the Hezbollah leader, Hassan Nasrallah, although the Wall Street Journal reported that Israel had so far refused to share details. Biden said last week that he would not support strikes on Iranian oil or nuclear sites.

Historic ICC War Crimes Complaint Names 1,000 Israeli Soldiers

A Belgium-based advocacy group on Tuesday announced it "filed an unprecedented and historic complaint with the International Criminal Court against 1,000 Israeli occupation forces soldiers for war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide in Gaza," where more than 150,000 Palestinians have been killed or wounded and millions more displaced, starved, and sickened by Israel's yearlong onslaught.

The Hind Rajab Foundation—named after the 6-year-old Palestinian girl who was killed in January along with half a dozen relatives and rescue workers by Israeli troops invading Gaza in retaliation for the October 2023 Hamas-led attack—said that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) personnel identified by name in the International Criminal Court (ICC) complaint "are accused of participating in systematic attacks against civilians during the ongoing genocide in Gaza."

"This complaint, supported by over 8,000 pieces of verifiable evidence—including videos, audio recordings, forensic reports, and social media documentation—demonstrates the soldiers' direct involvement in these atrocities," the group explained. "All of the named soldiers were located in Gaza during the genocidal assault, and the evidence reveals their participation in violations of international law."

The foundation accuses Israeli forces of:

  • Destruction of civilian infrastructure: Targeted attacks on homes, hospitals, schools, markets, mosques, and other civilian infrastructure.
  • Illegal occupation and looting: Soldiers were documented occupying civilian homes, looting personal belongings, and exploiting occupied properties.
  • Participation in the Gaza blockade: The soldiers played an active role in enforcing a blockade that deprived civilians of essential goods such as food, water, and medical supplies.
  • Targeting civilians: Audio and video evidence show soldiers deliberately attacking noncombatant individuals, including medical personnel and journalists.
  • Use of inhumane warfare tactics: Indiscriminate bombing campaigns, starvation, and the systematic destruction of civilian infrastructure were all part of their actions.
  • The IDF soldiers identified in the complaint include at least 12 American, 12 French, four Canadian, three British, and two Dutch nationals.

"This complaint is not only the largest ever submitted to the ICC, but it is also a milestone in documenting Israeli war crimes for future generations," the Hind Rajab Foundation said. "By meticulously identifying the perpetrators and detailing their crimes, we are establishing a historical record that will ensure the individuals responsible are remembered and held accountable."

"The submission of this complaint represents a significant moment in the fight for justice," the group continued. "We honor the memory of Hind Rajab and the countless victims who have perished in the ongoing genocide. Their stories will not be forgotten, and their voices will be heard through our persistent legal action."

The foundation added that the complaint "supports the efforts" of International Criminal Court Prosecutor Karim Khan—who is seeking to arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, and Hamas leaders—and "pushes for immediate action, including the issuance of arrest warrants for those responsible."

"We believe this complaint marks a turning point in the global fight to bring justice to Palestine," the group asserted.

The complaint's filing came amid Israel's ongoing assault on Gaza, for which the U.S.-backed ally is on trial for genocide at the International Court of Justice. In recent weeks, Israel has escalated attacks on Lebanon, Syria, and elsewhere, killing and injuring thousands of people and threatening to plunge the Middle East into a wider war.

The filing also came on the same day that Sky News published an investigation confirming that IDF officials lied when repeatedly claiming there were no Israeli troops near the site of Rajab's killing at the time of the attack. The British network published satellite images showing numerous IDF vehicles nearby and interviewed military experts who identified damage done by bullets and tank rounds to the vehicle in which the family was traveling.

The car was hit multiple times. Hind Rajab and her 15-year-old cousin Layan were the last survivors. In one recorded phone conversation with Rajab's mother before the two children were killed Layan said, "The tanks are next to us."

    Hamas has no tanks.

The Sky News investigation was at least the second journalistic probe that concluded Israeli officials are not telling the truth about the attack.

In June, the U.K. research agency Forensic Architecture collaborated with Al Jazeera journalists and the advocacy group Earshot to publish an analysis that found Israeli tank fire likely fired the bullets that killed Rajab, her relatives, and two paramedics trying to rescue them in an ambulance that was blown to pieces despite receiving IDF permission to proceed with the rescue shortly before being attacked.

IDF Published 17 Videos of Airstrikes That Killed 400+ Gaza Civilians: Investigation

The Israeli military has over the past year released triumphant videos of airstrikes in Gaza that are linked to hundreds of civilian deaths, according to an investigation published Wednesday by Sky News and Airwars, a watchdog group.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) posted videos of 1,219 strikes between October 7, 2023 and August 31—the period studied—nearly half of which came from the first month of the war. The IDF often overlays captions citing Hamas targets. Most of the videos are grainy, with people on the ground not visible, deaths not directly evident, and locations unclear.

Airwars used geolocation data to match 17 of the strikes to specific incidents in which Palestinians were reported killed or injured. The newly released investigation includes detailed reports on each of the 17 strikes, which together killed 448 civilians.

"This is incredible work by Airwars clearly showing how Israeli targeting practices are way below acceptable legal standards," Alonso Gurmendi, a human rights fellow and war expert at the London School of Economics and Political Science, wrote on social media.

The attacks detailed in the investigation are just those Airwars was able to document, as many of the IDF's videos provided insufficient detail for analysis—Airwars could identify the location in only 72 of the 1,219 strikes, of which 17 matched with documented incidents.

Even the 1,219 published strikes are just a "fraction" of the overall number of Israeli strikes on Gaza in the last year, Airwars said in a video summarizing its findings.

"They are those that the military chose to release. The ones they wanted the world to see. But who was actually killed?" the narrator said.

Airwars' findings provide tragic answers to the question. Among the 17 attacks that the watchdog group examined in detail was a strike on a seven-story residential building called al-Taj in a relatively well-to-do neighborhood in Gaza City on October 25, 2023. The strike, which the IDF posted on X two days later, killed 101 civilians including 44 women and 37 children.

Marwa Jarada, a 25-year-old Palestinian woman who lives in the United States, lost at least 16 family members in the strike, including her parents and her sisters.

"My family was everything to me," Jarada told Sky News. "They are my life. And I've lost everyone I love."

Jarada and another relative said that the IDF didn't issue a warning that the strike was coming.

The relative, Hisham Ahmad Saleh, told the investigative team that "if there had been any [warning] like you mentioned, they would have taken precautions, they would have dressed and gone out, but no, they did not receive any information at all."

The IDF didn't respond to specific Sky News questions on whether a warning was issued, but did reject Airwars' claims more generally.

Legal experts said a lack of warning to civilians prior to the al-Taj attack could amount to a violation of international law, especially given the IDF's stated reason for the attack: to destroy a Hamas military tunnel.

"A tunnel is not going anywhere," Dearbhla Minogue, a lawyer with the Global Legal Action Network (GLAN), told the investigative team. "There's absolutely no reason you would not evacuate that building before you launch that attack."

"So I think in publishing that video, Israel has actually not left themselves with anywhere to go in relation to claiming that was a lawful attack," Minogue said.

Israel has multiple audiences in mind when publishing strike videos, experts say.

"The first narrative they want to push out, towards the domestic audience, is 'We're winning,'" Andreas Krieg, a defense and Middle East expert based at King's College London, told the investigative team.

"The number two message is one of deterrence, which is aimed at Hamas, Iran, [and] Hezbollah... to say, if you attack us, this is what will happen to you," he said.

A third audience cited by Krieg and other experts was the international community, which Israel would like to convince that its attacks are targeted. Yet "all of the footage being pushed out by the IDF suggests the opposite," Krieg says.

The number of strike videos released by the IDF has dramatically declined in the last year, which Airwars suggested could be the result of Israeli concerns that the videos would be used against them in court.

A drop-off in the number of videos occurred in January, the same month that the International Court of Justice, the highest United Nations court, held public hearings in a genocide case against Israel brought by South Africa. On January 26, the court ruled that Israel must prevent acts of genocide in Gaza.

Minogue, the GLAN lawyer, said the videos could be used to hold Israeli decision makers accountable.

"It's definitely and absolutely the case that these videos could be used as criminal evidence against Israeli defendants, because they show so much," she said.

Republicans threaten to punish colleges that allow pro-Palestinian protests

Top Republicans are threatening to pull billions of dollars of federal funding from some of the most prestigious universities in the US, stripping them of official accreditation to punish them for allowing pro-Palestinian protests on their campuses.

The Guardian has reviewed a video recording of a meeting in Washington last week between House majority leader Steve Scalise and the powerful pro-Israel lobby group the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (Aipac). In it, Scalise outlined how he planned to unleash a massive attack against universities that fail to squash criticism of Israel.

The offensive, which would be coordinated with the White House should Donald Trump win the presidential race in November, could even threaten the existence of universities, Scalise warned. He talked about revoking accreditation, the system by which higher education institutions are approved and to which the bulk of federal funds are tied.

“Your accreditation is on the line,” Scalise said. “You’re not playing games any more, or else you’re not a school any more.”

The Aipac meeting was held on 1 October, and was attended by Scalise and his fellow Republican congressman, Pat Fallon from Texas.

European summit to discuss Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s ‘victory plan’ is postponed

An international summit on Ukraine where Volodymyr Zelenskyy was going to present a “victory plan” to western leaders has been formally postponed – though the Ukrainian president will try to organise a tour of European capitals instead.

Organisers said that the Saturday meeting of about 20 world leaders at the US Ramstein airbase in Germany would be rescheduled, a day after Biden had said he had to stay at home to respond to Hurricane Milton’s landfall in Florida.

Ukrainian sources said that Zelenskyy would travel to meet the German chancellor, Olaf Scholz, in Berlin on Friday – and potentially go on to visit other leaders as part of what sources described as a “European tour”. German officials also promised that another leaders’ meeting to discuss Ukraine would be held soon, though it is not clear if it will happen before the US presidential election in November, which pits military aid sceptic Donald Trump against a more supportive Kamala Harris.

Steffen Hebestreit, a spokesperson for the German government, said: “It is true that the national security advisers are in close contact with each other and are also coordinating closely on the issue of Ukraine … there should be a face-to-face meeting soon and an exchange of views.”

The Ramstein summit was to be a centrepiece of a four-day trip by Biden to Germany, where Zelenskyy was to lobby to use long-range missiles inside Russia and to be given more air defence systems.

Florida threatens news stations over ad in favor of abortion rights measure

The Florida health department has fired off cease-and-desist letters to local news stations over an advertisement urging people to vote in favor of a ballot measure that would expand abortion rights in the state. In the ad, a woman identified as Caroline from Tampa, Florida, talks about being diagnosed with brain cancer while pregnant. The state currently bans abortion past roughly six weeks of pregnancy.

“The doctors knew if I did not end my pregnancy, I would lose my baby, I would lose my life, and my daughter would lose her mom,” she says. “Florida has now banned abortion even in cases like mine.” She then urges viewers to vote “yes” on a Florida ballot measure that would enshrine abortion rights into the state constitution and restore access to the procedure, which was dramatically curtailed when the six-week ban went into effect in May of this year.

John Wilson, general counsel for the Florida department of health, called the claim that women can’t get life-saving abortions in Florida “categorically false” in letters to local news stations, which were first reported by the journalist Jason Garcia and the news outlet Florida Politics. “The advertisement is not only false; it is dangerous,” Wilson wrote. “Women faced with pregnancy complications posing a serious risk of death or substantial and irreversible physical impairment may and should seek medical treatment in Florida.” ...

On Tuesday, Jessica Rosenworcel, the Federal Communications Commission chair, condemned the cease-and-desist letters. “The right of broadcasters to speak freely is rooted in the first amendment,” Rosenworcel said in a statement. “Threats against broadcast stations for airing content that conflicts with the government’s views are dangerous and undermine the fundamental principle of free speech.”

El Salvador faces scrutiny for ‘political’ trial of five environmental activists

Five environmental activists who helped secure a historic mining ban in El Salvador are facing life imprisonment for an alleged civil war-era crime, in a case that has been condemned by UN and legal experts as baseless and politically motivated. The trial against Miguel Ángel Gámez, Alejandro Laínez García, Pedro Antonio Rivas Laínez, Antonio Pacheco and Saúl Agustín Rivas Ortega, who were arrested in January 2023 for the alleged killing of an army informant in 1989, opened on Tuesday in Sensuntepeque, in the department of Cabañas in northern El Salvador.

The case has proceeded in almost total secrecy amid widespread allegations of legal violations – and repeated calls for the charges to be dismissed from UN experts, and hundreds of international lawyers, academics and rights groups.

The defendants, who were at the forefront of a 13-year grassroots-led campaign to ban metal mining to protect the country’s dwindling water and farmland from further contamination, were arrested amid warnings that President Nayib Bukele was planning to overturn the 2017 historic law.

The five anti-mining activists had denounced suspicious land sales and mining interests operating in the area when arrested, accused of murder and illicit association over an alleged crime during the 1979-1992 civil war. “This case has no legal basis, but we fear that the lack of judicial independence and the Bukele government’s desire to overturn the metal mining ban risks the five environmental leaders being subjected to a terrible miscarriage of justice,” said Pedro Cabezas, coordinator of the Central American Alliance Against Mining. ...

The five activists are among more than 70,000 people detained since Bukele declared a state of emergency and suspended basic rights after a surge in gang violence in March 2022. Since sweeping to power in 2019, Bukele and his allies have taken steps to “effectively co-opt democratic institutions”, replacing independent judges, prosecutors and officials with political allies, according to Human Rights Watch.

Anger at UK’s ‘bonkers’ plan to reach net zero by importing fuel from North Korea

A plan by the British government to burn biomass imported from countries including North Korea and Afghanistan has been described as “bonkers”, with critics saying it undermines the credibility of the UK’s climate strategy. A bioenergy resource model, published in late summer, calculates that only a big expansion in the import of energy crops and wood from a surprising list of nations would satisfy the UK’s plan to meet net zero.

In a strategy document published last year and since seemingly adopted by the new Labour government, the Sunak government said it wanted biomass to play a “significant role” in decarbonising all sectors of the economy in the years leading up to 2050. Previous administrations have provided more than £20bn to businesses using it in the power and heat sectors over the past two decades. ...

Mary Booth, director of the Partnership for Policy Integrity criticised the way the model addresses changes in land use, and its assumption that energy crop area will increase exponentially globally and crop yields will increase by more than 50%. “This is all against a background of increasing climate change when whole regions are facing famine due to weather-induced crop failures,” she said. “It’s bonkers.”

As well as being unclear whether such a large volume of biomass would be available to the UK, the model does not attempt to explain how existing deforestation problems in countries such as Brazil or the lack of transparency in a dictatorship such as North Korea would comply with sustainability rules. More fundamentally, Booth questioned the model’s assumption that bioenergy can actually limit greenhouse gas emissions.

Scientists and environmental campaigners have long disputed claims that burning wood for energy is climate neutral, saying forests are unlikely to be replaced quickly enough to absorb the carbon emissions required to slow the climate crisis. A recent report showed that Drax, the UK’s largest power station, was responsible for four times more carbon emissions than the country’s last remaining coal-fired plant which closed last month.

Global heating makes hurricanes like Helene twice as likely, data shows

As Hurricane Milton bears down on Florida, fueled by a record-hot Gulf of Mexico, a new analysis has shown how the Gulf’s heat that worsened last month’s Hurricane Helene was 200 to 500 times more likely because of human-caused global heating.

Helene, one of the deadliest storms in US history, gathered pace over the Gulf before crashing ashore with 140mph (225km/h) winds.

The new analysis found climate change increased by 10% the amount of rainfall hurled down by the hurricane, which left more than 220 people dead across six states as it barreled north two weeks ago, flattening and drowning towns, tearing up roads and severing water supplies. It also made Helene’s winds about 13mph, or 11%, more intense.

The burning of fossil fuels has made storms as severe as Hurricane Helene about 2.5 times more likely than they were in the pre-industrial age, the multinational group of scientists at the World Weather Attribution group stated. Should the world warm by 2C above this pre-industrial period, which will occur without major cuts to emissions, storms such as Helene will get a further 10% more rainfall, the study found.

“The heat that human activities are adding to the atmosphere and oceans is like steroids for hurricanes,” said Bernadette Woods Placky, chief meteorologist at Climate Central, part of the attribution group, who added that storms like Helene and Milton were becoming “explosive” because of excess heat. A study by Climate Central published on Monday found the sea surface temperature around Milton’s path was 400-800 times more likely because of the climate crisis.

when he said "I think Erdogan is sincere..." I don't think Erdogan is sincere about a whole lot, honestly. Maybe he could be sincere about the one thing Giraldi mentioned. But the default assumption is that Erdogan is talking out his you-know-what.

It would seem that the real debate about world politics today is the one of who is really in charge in the West. Moon of Alabama argues, against others he mentions, that Biden's Intent Is To Sow Chaos and that Netanyahoo And Zelensky Are Working For Him. Is it that he's pissed off that Obama deprived him of a re-election and handed it to Kamala "what did I say to a teleprompter last" Harris?

The problem of figuring out who is really in charge is exacerbated by the obvious pointlessness of those in charge. Biden? Harris? Trump? Starmer? Macron? Scholz? Van der Leyen? I vote to send them all on the present-day equivalent of a holiday in Cambodia:

    .

…we need a story that will make us laugh.

Jill Stein's Dangerous Game Could Put Fascist Trump Back in the White House

Jill Stein doesn’t give, as the old saying goes, a flying f*ck about democracy. Instead, she’s all about how famous she can become and how much money she can grift off her repeated presidential campaigns. It’s a damn dangerous game.

Fresh off her 2016 political quacksalvery, in which she handed that year’s election to Donald Trump, this professional grifter — who’s been doing real damage to the Green Party for over a decade — is trying to get Trump back into the White House.

As her Wisconsin campaign manager, Pete Karas, told Politico:

“We need to teach Democrats a lesson.”

Arguably, Democrats have already learned that lesson.

In 2016, Hillary Clinton lost Wisconsin to Trump by 22,748 votes; Stein carried 31,072 votes. In Michigan the story was similar: Clinton lost to Trump by 10,704 votes while Stein carried 51,463. Ditto for Pennsylvania, where Trump won by 44,292 votes and Stein pulled in 49,941 votes.

Had Clinton carried those three states she would have become president.

But if only the people who voted for Stein would have voted for the Hellabitch. Thom thinks that every person who votes 3rd party owes their vote to the Democrat candidate.

This goes well with the shitlib who thinks that it’s people who let democrats down for not voting hard enough and giving them enough of a majority. This person says that every time democrats fail to get their agenda passed because of the rotating villain charade. Obama had a majority for 2 years, but…then there’s the blue dawg democrats who would be waiting in the wings if the rotating villain capitulated. How people can’t see through this game after all these decades is beyond me.

Stein: “So they can’t win. There’s a fair amount of data now that suggests the Democrats have lost. Unless they give up their genocide.

Thom thinks it’s unfortunate that Biden is supporting genocide. Yeah…20,000 blown up kids is unfortunate. It’s also unfortunate that hundreds of thousands kids are starving to death too.

He got hammered in the comments.

    @QMS

Hillary still would have lost because she was such a horrible candidate. As for Thom saying that Democrats learned their lesson, bull! One of the biggest reasons why Trump won was because of how Obama crapped on us for 8 years. And instead of admitting that and changing their ways they blamed Russia.

Kam is promising more things for Medicare and a public option…hey didn’t Biden promise that too? Hey didn’t Obama promise that? And yet shitlibs are giddy about her proposal. And not only does Biden still owe me $600 he gave me a crappy and stingy 2.5% COLA. Medicare part B is going up 3%. But shitlibs are saying that it shows that we must vote for Democrats. Pfffft!!

heh, just tell those shitlibs that there's no path to victory for killer kamala. do they really think that the people whose families her boss is murdering are going to vote for her sorry ass? seriously? wave bye-bye to michigan.

so, if they want to keep trump out of office, i suggest that they all get behind jill stein.

if i for some reason couldn't cast a vote for stein, i would not consider voting for either killer kamala or trump. maybe vermin supreme would get my vote.

Israel jails journalist who revealed damage to bases hit by Iranian missiles

Late last week, Loffredo released a video report on the YouTube channel of the Grayzone, an American independent news website and blog. The report demonstrated that Israeli authorities largely concealed the true extent of the damage inflicted on the regime’s bases following Operation True Promise II.

His video report in article. Israel has blacked out information on certain areas including around the Mossad headquarters , but Jeremy showed the damage.

Israel wants to be in complete control of all information during the ongoing Genocide. They have killed numerous journalists and the only thing that they want dispersed is the disinformation that the MSM happily runs with. Such as precision strikes and only terrorists were killed and that all missiles are either shot down or land on empty fields.

You’d think that the world’s journalists would be talking about how it’s open season on journalists in Gaza, but that might chip their nails. Cowards. One day they will realize how complicit they were in the genocide and I hope it haunts them to the grave.

But I’d like to see them blocking the video that Hezbollah captured by drone over Haifa.

Hezbollah just released footage today of a drone flying over Haifa area, getting info/intelligence on a whole 'bank of objectives/targets'. essentially telling israel that because they've forced over 1 million Lebanese to evacuate not only parts of Beirut but also in the Beqaa Valley, well now the Haifa metro area will have to be evacuated - 1.0 million more refugees inside israel, in retaliation.....

see the actual Hezbollah video at the second link.
and of course Iran will also be receiving/reviewing this info for its counter-attack if israel does indeed retaliate.

Cards Against Humanity (CAH) is jumping into the 2024 White House election by offering to pay blue-leaning non-voters in swing states to create a plan to vote.

The company behind the popular card game rolled out a website on Tuesday to encourage people who did not cast ballots in the 2020 election to vote this November. They are looking to pay some battleground state voters up to $100. The payment could be received if the eligible voter writes an apology for not casting a ballot in 2020, makes a voting plan and posts “Donald Trump is a human toilet” on social media.

The company is also selling a $7.99 card game pack inspired by the 2024 general election contest. It said the money would go to its Super PAC, dubbed “Cards Against Humanity PAC.” The outside group was registered on Aug. 5, according to Federal Election Commission (FEC) filings.

Prospective voters around the country can get the payment, but the largest payout would be given to residents of 7 swing-states: Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, according to the company.

i would guess that payments for posting that "donald trump is a human toilet" on social media are legal. i guess it could be arguably legal in that it offers a payment based upon making a "voting plan," as opposed to actually voting in a particular manner. but what do i know, i'm not a lawyer.

Israeli news outlet Ynet reports that the charges against Loffredo “include aiding the enemy during wartime and providing information to the enemy,” which, as his fellow Grayzone reporter Kit Klarenberg notes, can be punished by the death penalty in Israel.

His arrest has raised concerns of a potential diplomatic incident between Israel and the U.S. because of his status as a foreign journalist. Representatives from the U.S. Embassy attended the Jerusalem Magistrate's Court for a hearing on the request of the police to extend his detention.

"He published the information openly and fully, without attempting to hide anything. If this information constitutes aiding the enemy, many other journalists in Israel, including Israeli reporters, should also be arrested, said Attorney Leah Tsemel who is representing him in his defense. "A spy would not have acted so publicly and transparently."

Let’s see what Biden will do….hopefully not another Gonzo Lira.

for charging journalists. He loaded the gun for Trump to pick up and shoot. Obama gets no kudos for not charging Assange.

And with Assange having to plead guilty to committing journalism that precedent has also been set!

That’s what Assange told us a decade ago.

It would cost $20 billion to end homelessness in America, and a tad more to end starvation in America, but instead we’re sending that money overseas and elsewhere. And too many Americans are okay with that. Can’t have people sucking off our taxes, but no problem with corporate welfare. How did people become this effing stupid and compliant?
