Even after dozens of Bush/Bush/Obama neocon administration officials have jumped ship and joined the Cheney bandwagon, few Americans have raised an eyebrow.
The old Democrat Party is officially dead.
While rightwingers still rail and blubber about leftards and commies mucking everything up, the fact is they no longer exist.

Seems to me that every Democratic president from Carter to present moved rightward. Now, the party has surpassed the Republicans in their rightness.
It used to be subtle or even hidden from our view. Now, they show us, demand our support, and do it joyfully.

In a totalitarian government the formal government institutions don't rule anymore, the movement does. An imperial outlook is inconsistent with concern for human rights.

is taking a serious hit right now, even with tens of thousands of dollars in incentives. Only the Marines have met their quotas and they cut the numbers they need, downsizing the ranks.
They could raise the enlistment numbers substantially if they raised the pay scale to the level of police officers.
But the taxpayers could not/would not afford that.
But the 1%ers could quite easily.

Will they start it at 26 years old and above, like Ukraine. Or go back to the Vietnam Era and draft 18 year olds?
The Vietnam debacle conveniently knocked down the numbers of boomers just reaching working age by 58k.
Maybe they will take another shot at us aging boomers just starting Social Security and start drafting at 65.

A military coup is not out of the question.
IMHO that would be the most favorable outcome for the 99%. The top brass would have to cede some relief to the masses just to get the lower ranks to support a coup.

discussion the presidential run made by Gen. Wesley Clark. Dad said the problem with voting in Generals and Admirals is that they are trained to say "yes". Military coups in underdeveloped countries have no banksters and corporations to please. Boy, we got 'em here in the US.

What was on my mind when I wrote this was the US Labor Movement and the struggle to form unions. So many workers were shot or beaten to death. A working class party was never allowed to form. The debate didn't cross my mind, since there is no viable candidate running on a comprehensive antiwar platform. I used to watch them the same way I would watch a horror movie, but I am no longer amused.
Kamala was deeply debriefed and brainwashed years ago by the CFR before they selected her for the Biden ticket. For the past century, the CFR has pre-selected the Presidents, Secretaries of State, and key Cabinet posts of most administrations in the US. For both Parties simultaneously. The candidates were reprogrammed as necessary, and shadowed constantly. There is nothing Democratic about US elections. It's kabuki all the way down. The very last thing that Assange posted before he was abruptly kidnapped and imprisoned was a photo chart showing the entire private-paid membership of the CFR and all of their covert power interconnections.

I don't know who "won" the debate, but I am certain the American people lost.
I watched Jill Stein's follow-up on utube and she had some encouraging remarks but ultimately got cut off for some reason. Probably went past her allotted time.
