Genocide Joe versus War-Crimes Enthusiast Donald
I'm disgusted with Israel's genocidal, apartheid politics and Washington's unconditional support. Unlike a lot people online I actually participated in the anti-war protests.
However, I keep seeing this strange meme that seems to be gaining speed that somehow Donald Trump would for some reason would be more incline toward peace. Trump keeps pushing it, and Trump allies in the media are trying to rewrite history to show it. Unfortunately there is no peace candidate (unless you vote Green), but Trump would probably be even worse than Biden was.
Let start with Afghanistan, one of Biden's few foreign policy decisions that I supported.
Trump made a big deal of denouncing Biden, while never acknowledging his own culpability in the chaotic withdrawal. What gets overlooked by those on the right is that Trump now wishes we were still in Afghanistan so that we could use it to go to war with China.
During this week's Republican National Convention, speaker after speaker has tried to transform "America First" from a slogan against overseas entanglements into a cry for more aggressive military force. And the gambit seems to have succeeded. A day after Trump's running mate, Sen. J.D. Vance (R–Ohio), condemned the war in Afghanistan as a failure, Trump himself called for using Afghanistan as a springboard to future conflicts."They also gave up Bagram [Airfield], one of the biggest bases anywhere in the world, the longest runways, most powerful, hardened, thickened runways. We gave it up," he said on Thursday night. "I liked it not because of Afghanistan. I liked it because of China. It's one hour away from where China makes their nuclear weapons."
When Trump became president the first thing he did was to send 4,000 additional troops there. In fact, Trump wants to start bombing Afghanistan again.
The former president has privately sensed an opening to attack his successor for the chaotic and bloody situation on the ground there. And in a statement last week, he declared that if the Taliban didn’t return mostly defunct American military equipment, “we should either go in with unequivocal Military force and get it, or at least bomb the hell out of it.”It was a shift for Trump. In other statements, he had boasted that he would have executed a more “dignified” withdrawal from the 20-year war, largely in the context of defending the deal that his administration struck that set the conditions for the U.S. to ultimately leave Afghanistan in May.
The U.S. and Iraq are currently in talks about pulling our troops out of their country. When Iraq asked U.S. troops to leave in 2020, Trump not only refused to, but also threatened to sanction Iraq. Compare that to Biden's response when they kicked us out of Niger.
You probably remember when Trump assassinated Qassem Soleimani, but do you remember when Trump followed that up with threatening to bomb Iran's cities and cultural sites? How about when Trump pardoned and restored to rank American soldiers that the U.S. military had convicted of war crimes. I had forgotten some of that too. Trump says so many outrageous things that it gets overwhelming.
On the campaign trail, Trump frequently invoked a false story about General John Pershing crushing a Muslim insurgency in the Philippines with bullets dipped in pig’s blood, declaring, “There was no more radical Islamic terror for 35 years!” He vowed to impose torture techniques “a hell of a lot worse than waterboarding.” Trump declared that he would “take out the families” of terrorist suspects, assuring skeptics that the military would not refuse his commands, even though service members have a duty to refuse orders that are manifestly illegal. “If I say do it, they’re going to do it.”
This is not a prediction. I have no knowledge of what will happen. Trump does appear to be less incline to go to war with Russia, but also more incline for war with China and Iran. I'm only looking at what has happened over the last 7+ years.

So, who to vote for?
"On April 6, 2017, the Trump administration launched strikes on a Syrian-government airfield in retaliation for a chemical attack on the town of Khan Sheikhoun."
"Chemical Attack" -- not. The goal always was to destroy Assad. After all he was an ally of Russia. The point is, that Trump was at the bid of his neocon masters, and will be during the reign of NexTrump. Russia, much to the dismay of the US, saved Assad, and displayed enormous military competence, especially airpower. The West should have payed attention.
nexTrump claims to be able to stop the US-Russia proxy war on his first day. Russia will demand full capitulation, as they should. NexTrump (pronounced Next Rump) will threaten full out military and economic support of Rumpstate Ukraine. And now instead of full peace we have extended war.
But who could vote for ultraWoke, brainless Kamala Harris? She is entirely the puppet of Hillary Clinton. Yuk! Get the book:
Kamala Harris & The Future of America: An Essay in Three Parts by Caleb Maupin.
I will vote for Jill Stein, again. A useful vote, therefore not wasted.
The current political and economic situation feels like the beginning of collapse of an empire. It's the leaders plus the state of the empire that signals collapse. For example, Gorbachev and Yeltsin in the Soviet Union.
Capitalism has always been the rule of the people by the oligarchs. You only have two choices, eliminate them or restrict their power.
I too
will register my vote for Stein, marking myself as one of the harmless minority protest voters.
Unlike the majority of voters who will vote for one of the two evils and mark themselves as evil minions, to be dealt with sometime in the future.
We know who you are and where you dwell.
Thanks for the post, gjohnsit.
Neither Russia nor China is our enemy.
Neither Iran nor Venezuela are threatening America.
Cuba is a dead horse, stop beating it.
Genocide Joe has been demoted to temporary figurehead.
We still do not know who is really in charge in the White House right now. It's not Joe, and it's not Kamala. So who is it?
This confusion is of course why the Democrats must behave as a cult to match the more mature Republican cult. I suppose I could have more briefly stated that what's going on with the Democratic Party is like that scene in the Woody Allen movie "Sleeper," in which the Leader is shown to have died some time previously, but the public pretense was that he's still alive, and the assembled doctors were hoping to produce a clone of the Leader from a preserved nose.

Hell, even RFK Jr. looks better than the didjits
they have vomited at us this go around.

Just an observation
I've noticed that most polls are Trump vs. Harris. When they open it up they include Kennedy, Stein and West. That's fine, except that they are forgetting someone: the Libertarian candidate.
This is weird because West is unlikely to qualify for most states, and who knows which states Kennedy will qualify for, but the Libertarians are almost certain to qualify for every state. It's been so long since I've seen his name in a poll that I've forgotten his name.
A month or
Not only has the Biden admin gone after Kennedy, and the MSM of course, but also the polling firms with the way they fashion their questions. Very good way to suppress his support.
I think it's also clear that Biden stepping aside for Kamala, and the enthusiastic way the DP has rallied around her, have greatly dampened natural Kennedy support, the many anti-Biden Ds now have a candidate they can feel positive about. I'm still a backer of RFK Jr, but his campaign seems to be a backwater footnote in the national discussion, and I don't see where he goes from here.
apples and orange
obviously, unless their aim improves, only one of those things will be likely to get votes.
Obviously, Biden has been an efficient war master, with so much democracy exported we couldnt even use our votes to select the Democratic candidate. No reason to balk at that, is there?
So the major monster makes it past every obstacle they put before him and then what?
Another four years of Russiagate or whatevers clever?
At this point, seeing what these demons are all about, I almost appreciate the four years they spent yelling and printing lies. Nothing about that will change, but if there attention was not on their jobs but their hatchet work, maybe it was all for the best.
Now how muchly should we reward the Democratic Party for their hard work and the results thereof?
Or would an overwhelming majority prefer to monkey wrench the proceedings?
I tend to think so, but so much stupid seems to go so far, even when a meal at a joint runs $50-60 for two people trying eat cheaply.
As if inflation or any other solid issue is on the ballot.
Business as usual, and the next thing you know is you will be denying the open warfare waged against your fellow citizens. And that shit is well underway.
Genocide is good for cooking their geese, wait'll you get a gander at what is next on their domestic agenda.
It's a conundrum, for sure...
No good viable choices are there?
Blue Republic became Blue Republic back in 2011 - in response to this appeal
by Robin Koerner
I wasn't a Democrat by then, but a founding member of Oregon's Pacific (later Pacific Green) Party.
Not much to lose, so switched to and have continued R.
So, Paul - as could have been predicted - was shafted by the party establishment, suspended his campaign the day before the OR primary.
2016 rolls around, first choice: Jim Webb who, in addition to supporting 2A and numerous other accomplishments has a 'worst in the entire Congress' rating from AIPAC. Solid endorsement in my book but he drops out and avoids the Bernie screw over.
Vote for Trump, who I initially rated a buffoon on sort of a train wreck theory/desperation move to end the endless plague of Clintons, Bushes, Obamas...
2020 - First choice Tulsi Gabbard, but...after Russia Gate, weaponization of DOJ, some success at avoiding new wars, some efforts at diplomacy (mainly N. Korea), lowered illegal immigration, pretty robust (on the surface) economy and thinking he might have learned from painful 1st term experience voted for DJT again. And still believe by a legitimate count that he won.
Now, though... clearly this 3rd Obama admin has been a disaster. And Kamala and whoever for VP inspire negative confidence for improvement. And the alternatives, in some respect or other all suck too.
Really don't think I can vote for DJT a 3rd time - the suck up to the Zios is pathetic and if nothing else belies any claim to being 'America First'. His 'absolute' support for Israel may not be enough, though - it's not really religious/ideological, sheer lust for power or being bought/compromised.
It's mostly based on delusion and a very limited understanding of the history and dynamics of the Middle East and thus there is a slight but worrisome possibility that he could start to figure things out and head off the reservation in a disastrous way.
JD Vance, on the other hand, with solid intel/surveillance state connections (Peter Thiel/Palantir) and solidly pro-Israel, much more fits the bill as someone they can 'work with'...
https://responsiblestatecraft.org/peter-thiel-israel-palantir/
Sigh.
Leaning RFK, Jr. at this point. He's done good work elsewhere and despite his pathetic suck up to Israel he *must* know they are the leading suspects in having offed his father and uncle (not unlikely JFK, Jr and maybe Paul Wellstone, too) and that that might override his other programming.
Highly recommended documentary:
These sure do qualify as 'interesting times'.
Three worthy of support - heads up MI
Not that any of their chances are great - but at least they're making a serious attemp.
FWIW - Michigan primary is ONE WEEK from today - Justin Amash's main opponent is the vile (Trump-endorsed) Mike Rogers. Amash is running as a Republican but the MI primary is *open* so I hope there will be significant numbers crossing over to vote for him.
Tweet below my reply to someone saying 'A vote for Dems is a vote for WWIII':
Wonder if this is going to work out
the way Trump intended...?
To judge from the comments, maybe not.
Probably not
