Palestinian Lives Matter
I confess to getting slightly annoyed by the implication of Caitlin Johntone's series of articles on the Israeli terror campaign in Gaza. I agree with her point -- genocide is what Israel and its backers are doing, and by the way, this murderous campaign is loony toons crazy. But she implicitly condemns us all for not doing anything about this loony toons crazy genocide. I can't fault her logic as the mass murder continues as we go on with our daily lives. But other than setting ourselves on fire like a Vietnam Era monk or that guy who made news a few weeks ago with self-immolation, I have no earthly idea about how to do anything about this nightmare.
I believe that the phrase Black Lives Matter is the single most effective buzz phrase of all time, perfectly exposing the contradiction of Peace Officers making war against black citizens. Wiki provides the proof of my assessment:
According to The Economist, between May 2020 and December 2020, donations to Black Lives Matter related causes amounted to $10.6 billion (equivalent to $12 billion in 2023[50]).[57] The Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation, one of the main organizations coordinating organizing and mobilization efforts across the reported raising $90 million in 2020 (equivalent to $106 million in 2023[50]), including a substantial number of individual donations online, with an average donation of $30.76 (equivalent to $36.21[50]).[58][59]
The phrase was so effective that it got coopted by Big Money.
I suggest that Palestinian Lives Matter exposes the hypocrisy of that cooptation while applying its logic to the luckless souls who committed the crime of being born on land somebody else wanted.

I wish that we
could simply agree upon
All lives matter.
But that really is a bridge too far, these days. It seems that somebody's just gotta keep getting dead, or the Owners might haz a sad...

all lives DO matter
I cried when I wrote this song. Sue me if I play too long.
The point of "Black Lives Matter"
was that there were -- and are -- people in our society who do not think that Black lives matter. Of course this matter always needs explaining. "Gee, why do you think they didn't choose 'All Lives Matter' as their slogan?" In this sense, Palestinian Lives Matter is entirely appropriate as a slogan.
Perhaps at this time the elites think that the solutions to the problems they've caused will be cheap ones. After the November election in the US, though, the climate for proposals in the US will change and there will be a vast expansion of proposals to save Israel, incredibly pricey ones, just as there is currently in the planning a vast expansion of the military draft. They currently act to "stay the course" and to preserve whatever illusions they think they can preserve, so they can "stay the course." You know the routine: Biden is a competent leader, Israel is winning against Hamas, Ukraine is winning against Russia, and so on. But it may come sooner rather than later that they wake up and recognize that Israel is collapsing. Here's a video on that:
I'm guessing it will happen in the forthcoming super-heated August, when all the college kids are safe in their parents' homes.
