What they would say if they knew what honesty was
The last time I posted here I left this little tidbit from Moon of Alabama:
...one wonders what means the deep state used to push Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, and Trump, into this full capitulation.
Well, The Grayzone weighed in on this. Here's the relevant part of the video:
Now, the whole video is worth watching, especially for the part where Mate and Blumenthal take a look at the agents provocateurs of the protests. But I do want to hone in on the part where they argue that Trump was helping Biden by okaying the $95 billion. As the Grayzoners argue, there are so many other people who would benefit from an actual judicious use of the $95 billion but, hey, let's spend the money on some obviously stupid wars.
So why?
The obvious answer, that Biden needed this for his re-election campaign, begs the question of why Trump gave the $95 billion his explicit endorsement.
So why?
The support for Ukraine is a lost cause. The support for Israel is something they'll never live down, and will probably also lead to an "L."
We won't get a reason from Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, whose talking point about "defending democracy" is one we can safely ignore.
We won't get a reason from The Conversation, whose arguments are all pointless. Delays in aid don't benefit Putin, because more war (which is what this is for) benefits Putin. Remember, Putin is currently winning, and the money won't make a difference. Competition with China would mean actually trying to produce the things that China produces, not $61 billion wasted on a losing war. The money benefits the US arms industry, but if we aren't beneficiaries of that industry, we don't benefit.
Here's what they're really saying: So Biden foreign policy results in heaps of dead bodies, with more to come. But it's okay, because none of the heaps of dead bodies will be you. We'll get rid of free speech, sure, but don't worry, it won't affect you. We'll tell so many lies that you'll forget which ones are really lies and which ones are the truth. We'll spy on you to make sure you're totally on board with this. Think only of yourself. We'll invent some marginal reason for you to vote Democrat. It's all totally kewl. Stick with the tribe. The Democrats are your friends. (cue soothing music)
That would be, of course, what they would say if they had the tiniest bit of respect for, I don't know, honesty, inquiry, or maybe even fair debate. There's of course this little fly in the ointment: how do you know that none of the heaps of dead bodies will be you? Unless you are being paid well to pretend to believe what you proclaim, then you might ask yourself: why do you think that you will never end up as an object of elite contempt? To a significant extent, you're an object of their contempt right now.

The last two paragraphs
Shine. Also,in questing for the why of anything always look for who benefits money wise. Politicians are on the take, even if it's legal. They work for who pays them and us 99% can never rival the 1%, except in violence. Even then it might be a draw.
I'm sorry, I'm a little slow on the uptake here.
What is an "L" in this case?
In the Land of the Blind, the One-Eyed Man is declared mentally ill for describing colors.
Yes Virginia, there is a Global Banking Conspiracy!

All of that,
combined with his apparent determination to start WWIII (which will certainly result in the reinstatement of the draft, if it ends up being conventional warfare and not instantaneous vaporization), is certainly not very enticing to the younger voter. They aren’t likely to vote for a forced conversion into cannon fodder, to my way of thinking…
The electoral beating he will take in November will be Biblical in heft. Couldn’t happen to a nicer guy.

No sheepdog on the horizon like what Bernie/Squad did
In the cosmic box score,
that would be a loss. As opposed to a W, which would be for a win- but we don't do that anymore....

Does Biden want to lose the election?
It would seem not. Why go to such great lengths to make sure Donald Trump commits an "own goal" against himself?
