~

Have you ever felt you've been on this path before?
Sometimes the quake strikes in following my own footsteps from
long ago. Déjà vu perhaps?

~

Most noticeable when listening to someone, knowing the words
before they are spoken. That could also be a form of telepathy
where the mind is picking up the broadcast ahead of time?

~

Almost seems like a dream. Per Wiki:

People who travel often, frequently watch films, or frequently remember their dreams are also more likely to experience déjà vu than others.

I don't watch many films, but do listen to a lot of music ..

Wondrously detailed worlds emerge from busts of youthful women in clay sculptures by Chinese artist Yuanxing Liang. Ambling trees, bridges, and temples emerge from the figures’ hairline, fusing realism and fantasy in smooth resin.

On the path of deception ..

An interesting article from The Cradle which describes a likely 're-defination'
of Biden's humanitarian assistance.

US building Gaza port to facilitate mass 'voluntary' migration: Anadolu Agency

The US claims the port is to facilitate humanitarian aid but could be used to ethnically cleanse Gaza per previously leaked Israeli plans

-

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) emphasized that the US plan is "suspicious and dubious," as it would open the door to the forced displacement of Gaza's population under humanitarian and other pretexts.

@QMS Nothing is really what it appears to be.
I recall having that realization a few times before.
I have done the math, the organizing, will put together the final document to send to the bookkeeper.
Same ol' same ol'.
Biden vs, Trump. Again. I didn't expect Biden to be in the race by this time.
Have a great Wednesday afternoon and evening, QMS. Enjoy your meal!

@QMS to the bookkeeper just before closing time. What a relief to get it over and done.

Siegfried Hecker recently visited China to talk about his new book Hinge Points: An Inside Look at North Korea's Nuclear Program or something like that. (I'm sure it's a worthwhile read but I haven't read it yet). He spoke to "nuclear colleagues" there in China in connection with his presentation on North Korea. I cued the video below to begin where he describes this experience. One of the Chinese "technical types" knew a great deal about North Korea, made some observations on North Korea's shift in strategic outlook that coincided (on all fours he suggests) with the view that Carlin and Hecker presented in the recent article Is North Korea Going to War. (Many people have taken issue with that article although given the experience and credentials of both authors their point of view needs to be given serious consideration).

I think one of the shortcomings of their perspective toward critics as they are the putative "authorities" so to speak, on North Korea (in the US anyway) is that they are taking a somewhat overly defensive view of the number of critics of their thesis. In any case, rather they should welcome informed criticism of their expressed viewpoint, that North Korea has decided to "go to war" as assisting in a penumbral or dialectic process of analysis that adds to our potential understanding. On the other hand, Hecker welcomes the Chinese viewpoint from what appears to be a personal perspective as a scientist or technician, to the effect that here is another technical expert from China, who looked at the data, and came to the same conclusion we did.

Watching the whole video, in particular the hour before this, my critique is that the so called military "final solution" could mean military resolution, aka deterrence for survival. Apart from low threshold skirmishes or confrontations which could lead to full blown war, the major danger is the incitement of uncontrolled escalation without adequate consideration of the consequences. Carlin says North Korea is not adequately prepared for war now, but is in the process of getting prepared for war. He also alludes to an allied "counterattack" on a preemptive North Korean (missile attack) to thwart any US/allied attempt to execute a war plan against North Korea. I view this perspective as avoiding consideration of US plans to "decapitate" North Korea and its nuclear capability as the first move in an unlimited escalation process, to which the North responds with a nuclear counterattack, which is "preemptive" only in the sense that it might be or probably be the North which engages in first use of nuclear weapons to meet the US existential threat to its continued existence.

In other words, this is the significance of the similar Chinese observation that the North has determined that the US will not accept the continued existence of North Korea in principle, and therefore from the North's point of view, there is simply no point in further negotiations. As some of the questioners point out, this could not foreclose any possibility at all of negotiation because of the possibility of dancing around further with Trump if he is reelected. Nevertheless, one is forced to make the observation, that whatever Trump is open to consider, the national security establishment in the US will simply not accept negotiating with North Korea in the same way they sabotaged the talks in Hanoi, and during the W administration before that.

I noticed that before November 2023 when he appeared on Kim Eo-jun's very popular South Korean radio program, Hecker appeared to have no idea who he was. This makes me wonder how much he could really know about the Korean perspective. I noticed Carlin had nothing to say about this.

Thanks for OT QMS. Great art work.

the old 'final solution' dialogue. Bombing their way to create some resolution.
Since negotiation and diplomatic avenues are closed to the militarists.
Of course they want to erase No. Korea, similar to Russia, to enable the
eventual attack on China. Except for the inconvenient fact they will not
succeed in a bombing campaign. Making NATO / America great by destroying
competitors has become a failed policy.

@QMS That Carlin concludes with the idea that it is necessary for the North Koreans to "bring something to the table" if and when a dialogue is reopened. When Trump was engaged his critics made the argument that just by meeting with Kim Jong-un he was granting him unwarranted status and legitimacy of sorts, that in and of itself was harmful. I heard this repeated over and over again, while when all was said and done, the US conceded nothing at all of substance to North Korea.

Trump's sub rosa agreement at Singapore to reduce the atmosphere of hostility, to reduce US military exercises on the Korean peninsula, and to avoid sending "strategic assets" to South Korea, was met with vehement hostility on all sides in the US establishment (and especially in the Indo-Pacific command). South Korea's Moon Jae-in was given zero breathing space to make substantial improvements in North South relations (Pompeo's no daylight policy). The US campaigned on VOA Korea, in western media, and diplomatically to get rid of the Comprehensive Military Agreement Kim and Moon made, and with Yoon's administration in office they finally succeeded. All to the detriment of the security situation in NE Asia. Everything that (dare I say it) Trump accomplished was systematically dismantled when Yoon was elected.

It's the US that needs to "bring something to the table."

Genocide Joe's situation but I doubt that you will see this portrayed in the MSM.

The rest of the tweet!

At the University of Delaware? "Yes."

And at the Biden Institute? "Correct."

President Biden had unauthorized possession of classified documents, writings, or notes related to national defense? "That's correct."

Did he tell his ghostwriter on February 16, 2017, that he had just found all of his classified stuff downstairs? "He did make that statement that was captured on an audio recording."

And on April 10, 2017, Biden read aloud a classified passage? "Correct."

@RepArmstrongND

Not that the airdrops are much more than a drop in the ocean.

https://www.bnnbloomberg.ca/grant-shapps-blocks-uk-aid-drops-in-gaza-ove...

(Bloomberg) -- Defense Secretary Grant Shapps has prevented British aid drops over the Gaza Strip due to concerns about the risk to civilians, people familiar with the matter said, underscoring the challenges facing allied efforts to get supplies into the war zone.

A plan was drawn up by British officials for the Royal Air Force to parachute aid packages into Gaza, alongside similar efforts by allies including the US, Egypt, France and Jordan, the people said. Increasing the supply of humanitarian aid into Gaza has been a central objective of the UK and other countries who have warned of the risk of famine in the Palestinian territory during the Israel-Hamas war.

However, Shapps refused to sign off on the use of RAF planes to carry out the missions, the people said, speaking on condition of anonymity discussing operational decisions that have not been made public. The defense secretary rejected the idea because of concerns that the air drops were dangerous, a person familiar with his thinking said, citing reports that previous missions carried out by allies had accidentally killed Palestinians.

by air drops, this is a joke, right?
What about allowing aid trucks in.
Turning back on the water and electricity.
Stop bombing the hospitals and civilians.
That is humanitarian aid.
The rest is window dressing.
