Well, the Polls are closing and results should start trickling in soon.
Here is the link to the Guardian's results tracker if you want to watch Mini-Bernie fill in another map.
I will be posting results as I get them and hope to see you guys here!
Comments
pretty different in terms of precincts and time of event
23 precincts in total and a morning caucus. It looks like 1 precinct per county.
Can Bernie succeed here after his "incredibly bad week" when he tied his shoelaces improperly? I heard Krugman was aghast at "shoe-tie-gate".
Krugman has been filleted at Naked Capitalism

Awesome article!
Wow, I just popped over here to see what's up
I had no idea that the caucus was ending so soon. I be watching on and off as I get stuff done around the house. Thanks for putting up another of these, alphalop!
I don't think they have "Ended" as of yet, It says polls close
at 1PM EST, but it could be hours, or minutes before we know anything.
I am hoping we start getting early results soon, the wait is killing me, lol!

Wow, looks like Bernie's side in Cheyenne had just a couple more

Oh, it worked! It just doesn't show up in the Preview. :)

lol - it requires the same leap of faith

Thanks, I caught the screw up right away.

The early numbers look to be indicating that we have yet another
record breaking turnout for the caucuses in WY.
Lets hope that trend continues through NY, NJ, PA and CA!

I'm hoping that Bill keeps talking

Oh wow! What a big difference. another shot of the turnout

Hmm, according to NYT, Casper tilted slightly in HRC's
favor.
The distribution of numbers coming out is quite peculiar, but I don't know much about Wyoming's political geography.
Does anyone know how Wyoming will apportion its national delegates? Looks like Sanders will take about 6/11 of the state delegates.

MSNBC is saying that Hillary won Laramie by absentee ballots.
Still no official results at this time.

Looking over the Wyoming Democrats FAQ page
http://www.wyodems.org/frequently-asked-questions, I don't see any provision for absentee ballots. Which seems intuitive for a caucus, but this has been a very strange season.
so the absentees broke for Hillary 10 to 1?
I find that hard to believe but we'll see
Yeah, I agree. I am not a fan of the caucus process.

OK, I think I've got it figured out.
The 54-46 is delegate percentages, not voter percentages. The crowdsourcing site seems to be pretty accurate so far. So in Johnson County the actual votes were 46 to 27 which means he got, what?, 70% of the vote? But they still each got 1 of the 2 delegates, because he didn't shut her out. Thus, that county is reported as 50-50, not 70-30.
That sucks
Well, it does mean that he shut her out in Niobrara County
because he got both delegates.
Ahhh, thanks for that. That makes sense...
I was wondering what was up with that. Thanks for sharing it!
"I used to vote Republican & Democrat, I also used to shit my pants. Eventually I got smart enough to stop doing both things." -Me
My pleasure.
Thank YOU for putting these up each election.
Caucuses are weird
and seem very undemocratic.
Their math is correct.
46 to 27 is not 50%. It's closer to 45% or slightly lower. WY has always been written off as a RW bastion. Dickbreath Cheney elected him. I'm real curious to see what the final tallies will be. Rec'd!
Inner and Outer Space: the Final Frontiers.
It's a caucus
We need to push for primaries. We really do.
Agreed. The Caucus system is garbage and our party should
absolutely get rid of them.
I do like proportional allocation over winner take all though, I think it is much more democratic model.
"I used to vote Republican & Democrat, I also used to shit my pants. Eventually I got smart enough to stop doing both things." -Me
Caucus is not garbage.
These are states that count. The Bernster said it would not end until all Americans vote. The young people are very aware of that fact. Take it from somebody who knows what first-class political corruption is. Rec'd and thanks!
Inner and Outer Space: the Final Frontiers.
I am not saying that the state or its voters don't count.
I am saying the Caucus process is a messy and disenfranchising one.
Those that are disabled cannot fully take part, nor can those that have to work on caucus days, or have child care issues, etc...
I also have problems with the lack of anonymity, If my boss was a Hillary supporter and I was a Bernie supporter I know it would concern me based on some of the attitudes of Hillary supporters I have seen.
They tend to be a vindictive bunch.
"I used to vote Republican & Democrat, I also used to shit my pants. Eventually I got smart enough to stop doing both things." -Me
Caucus is another way to dull any insurgency
Sanders wins 70% of a county
The County has only 2 delegates
The two delegates are then split evenly!?!
Right now Sanders has state 154 delegates, even given the above theft
Clinton has state 120 delegates
Delegates to National convention
Sanders 7
Clinton 6
So Sanders is winning 60 - 70% of the state and the split ends up being 7 - 6!?!
That is so insane, so wrong, it completely defies characterizing!!
Well, as we've seen, things can change if not all of
those state convention delegates make it to the convention ...
Your larger point is correct though. Interestingly, the system as constructed quite specifically dulls the significance of votes in the smallest-population counties, because they need very large vote-disparities to create an imbalance of state delegates -- especially if they are granted an even number of state delegates. I've concluded, after mulling this from Iowa onwards, that delegates should always be allocated in odd blocks.

Caucus
No, it doesn't kill an insurgency. It actually helps it cos a bunch of registered citizens show up. They schmooze and talk and connect. It's not like that in an actual closed primary. I live in Florida so I know. Our latest political show was that Rick (Indicted Criminal) Scott showed up at a Starbucks in Gainesville. A lady recognized him, and she let him have it!! No Medicaid plus no mass transit which the Feds would have paid for. Burn**Bernster**Bern!!

I find the "ties" extremely problematic
The large number of them positively screams for investigation-what are the odds, really?
Lsmith gave a valid, logical sounding explanation a couple posts
above.
It sounds reasonable. I would like to see the voter totals rather than the delegate count, but frigging caucuses.....
"I used to vote Republican & Democrat, I also used to shit my pants. Eventually I got smart enough to stop doing both things." -Me
Well, if the delegate numbers are a TIE
then the VOTE numbers are also (within some parameter-and what that is would probably depend on the total number of attendees). But it STILL seems questionable. I'd like to see past caucus results just for an FYI, to compare.
Remember that in the counties with only 2 delegates
Bernie would have to get something like 85% of the vote to completely shut her out.
True, the smaller the caucus, the larger the spread has to be
BUT-I'd still love to see some historical figures (say, Obama v Clinton )
Yeah, if you got to the site
http://www.crowdsourcingdemocracy.org/results.html they are reporting the actual vote counts for Bernie as people tweeted them. So far, it seems pretty accurate for the delegate counts, so maybe the votes are accurate, too.

The amount of spin and it's completely obvious nature (well to those of us that are actually paying attention to the election elsewhere) is really gross.

Why do you say that?
I though it would be 8-6.
I'm reading in Twitter
The actual delegate math is beyond me but the status quo seems to be 7/6 for Bernie. If Goshen goes 70% for Bernie then it's 8/6 otherwise 7/7.
Multiple twitter people seem to be agreeing with most or all of that.

That will indeed be disappointing if it pans out that way.
Still quite disappointing. nt
