Nice car museum...
Even older than the cars we drive, and they're old (but still reliable). We drive our vehicles till the wheels fall off. Of course they require maintenance, but that's cheaper than payments.
We only bought one new car in our life, a Toyota truck in '86, which we still have and use around the homestead. It has over 400,000 miles on it.
One of our music buddies died of cancer on Monday. We plan to gather today and play a few songs for him.
Hope all is well, and your weather is pleasant. We're headed to the 80's today. Guess I brought home some Mexican weather. Take care.

condolences for your music buddy
a commemorative song sounds like a fine gesture
Sorry about your buddy. A good way to celebrate, however,
so enjoy it,
be well and have a good one.
That, in its essence, is fascism--ownership of government by an individual, by a group, or by any other controlling private power. -- Franklin D. Roosevelt --
Attended a presentation by a local sailor
at the little local library of his journey from Maine to Alaska thru the Northwest passage.
Amazing photos of icebergs and small outposts along the west coast of Greenland.
They were charted by Nat. Geo to haul a film crew to document an article in the
upcoming June issue. Guy is a bit wacko, but had good stories to go with the slides. The sun never
went below the horizon, so they could dodge the ice. Sounded wicked cold.
Speaking of ashes, it's uncannily apropo for the MSM
I never knew that the term "Never Again" only pertained to
those born Jewish
"Antisemite used to be someone who didn't like Jews
now it's someone who Jews don't like"
Heard from Margaret Kimberley
LO,
give your friend a good send off.
So sorry.

Good morning QMS et y'all, fine looking wheels there.
Ashes? THE Ashes? It's a test.
Otherwise, Aw Faw Dow
be well and have a good one

Ashes! We got ashes in Ohio, PA, Brooklyn,
California, one each in metropolitan Detroit and Philadelphia and others in Alabama, Alaska, Louisiana and Texas. Plus Montana. And that's just from trains. Think I'm giving up ashes for lent this year.
cheers and thanks for the dead ashes!
all fall down
My ashes should be sent to my son so that he can feed
the whales at the shoreline of Maui with it.
I have no car, so I can't have ashes in my trunk.
Anything else you need to know?
We have full bloom of flowers in our garden. Looks nice, but it's completely off for this time of the year.
But what is not Off these days.
Enjoy life as long as you have it. Bye.

It is perhaps wise to have a stash of ashes in the trunk
Throw it under the tyres in case you get stuck.
Traction. Guess whales like it too. Blackened fish spice.
Cheers!
For the ashes
celebration in N.O.;
Mardi Gras memories
Seems like all the heightened partying ended at midnight when the
cops on horses cleared the quarter, then the fire trucks came in to hose
down the streets. It usually rained on Ash Wednesday as well.
It was a good time to leave town. Usually booked east to Florida.
That was the remedy.
Thanks for the Dr. John!
Mormon Church fined for hiding billions in shell firms
Wonder if snoops has an insight to this shell game?
https://www.rt.com/news/571890-mormon-church-billions-investments/
No real insights
but I’ve known that the church had $100 billion in its private funds that they said they were hanging on to for in time of need or great turmoil. Lots of members have said that those times had already arrived so what was the church waiting for.
I don’t remember where they got all that extra money but they insist that even if people are having trouble making ends meet they still should pay their tithing to the church because then gawd will repay them somehow. I don’t know how many members are aware of this but only those who have lots of money can ascend to the highest kingdom of heaven and become gawds. My mouth fell open when my friend told me that Mormons could become gawds of their own planet someday. And yes he was serious about that.
The Mormons are very powerful and they are involved in telling the government what it should do. Even more corrupt than the Catholic Church.
There were problems with running a campaign of Joy while committing a genocide? Who could have guessed?

Mormon afterlife
Anya
Yep that is what I was told too about that long ago
Only rich men get to ascend to the celestial realm and everyone else gets to be ruled by them. I’m pretty sure my mouth popped open when he explained that. This means of course that there are lots of planets just waiting for their gawds to appear and start ruling the people. I’m not sure if they are pre-stocked or if people from their zip codes are sent there.
As for women they have no autonomy except for what they get from having husbands. I’ve seen how girls have been taught to let the boys have power over them. I witnessed it in my brother’s family and so wanted to tell my niece to stick up for herself. Just a silly thing like who got to play the piano. He was much younger than her but he booted her right out of the way. I don’t know what happens to single women or if a man got sealed to one wife but he dissolves it and gets sealed to another. Divorce is supposed to be a no no, but my nephew has already been married twice. Actually 2 of them have.
Funny story. We went to Yellowstone back in the 60's and met people from another state. They seriously thought that all people from Utah had horns and were quite surprised that we didn’t.

back from the ashes
We had a high of 83 deg. this afternoon.
Looks like we have skipped spring, gone straight to summer.
The old cars are so damn cool!
When we attended a concert this past Sunday in the Beaumont area, the band and their crew gave me 6 or 7 Mardi Gras necklaces. Not sure what to do with them, but I may find a way to display the sparkly things on a wall somewhere.
I hope everyone enjoyed their day, or at least made a good memory.
