I guess that this is what you get from good drugs and rampant corruption.

that elensky sure acts like an insufferable jackass. i wonder how long it will be until people tire enough of his high-handed pronouncements and demands that they just ignore him.

mrs. elensky looks like the hardships are theoretical, nasty things that she will be spared but is just pleased as punch that others that look like her will submit to. or at least that's what the propaganda is. i wonder how long it will be before millions of suffering working class ukranians are on the doorstep of europe looking for a warm place to sleep with running water.

heh, well, the u.s. has plenty of people of irish heritage, probably at least a few inclined to tell the sort of uncomfortable truths that clare daly and mick wallace do so well. we just haven't managed to platform them somehow.

that jimmy and others are picking up on this. it looks like regular people are fighting the government and the billionaires over who gets to speak in the public square.

I’ve been meaning to ask but kept forgetting.

I love today’s news. Everything seems to be going our way today. Monday might be different so let’s enjoy the day. Sam was busy today watching a bunch of horses strolling through. Lots of people seem to enjoy the island with hikes, bikes and horses. It’s very barran but pretty in it’s own way.

Baren? Dunno how to spell it. Empty of anything but yellow grass and yellow bushes.

There were problems with running a campaign of Joy while committing a genocide? Who could have guessed?

Harris is unburdened of speaking going forward.

heh, my avatar is a hot pink monster with green eyes. it was a toy that caught my eye about 30 years ago in a thrift store, that i picked up for my daughter. it had a little suction cup on the bottom and it lived on the windshield of my old pickup truck for a long time.

glad that you and sam are still having fun camping. give her a scritch for me.

barren - i'm pretty sure that's the correct spelling of the word you're looking for.

I tried that but spell check said it wasn’t a word. Then my brain took a hike….
Sam says thanks for the scritch. She is sacked out on her bed after her busy day. We walked out on the sand a bit and followed the buffalo tracks. I kept my eyes open to make sure that one didn’t sneak up on us. I read that they can get up to 40 mph. There would be nowhere to hide.

Got some good pictures of the tracks and the barren area I’ll post Monday. Gorgeous sunset with a baby moon laughing sideways in the sky.

HI all, Hey Joe! Hope it's all good.

GREAT sounds man! That Mickey Baker was an amazing guitarist way ahead of his time. I don't know how that 1959 'Wildest Guitar' album did not floor everyone. There was not anybody at that time playing like that. It was too far ahead of its time to be recognized for what it was in its day. Like so much good art.

Anyway, thanks again for the great soundscapes! Have a great weekend!

@dystopian

i think that baker was (at the time) a guitarist's guitarist. his album did floor a lot of folks which i think was reflected in all of the studio work he got and the many big name artists that he backed. he's one of those people that i'd love to see a complete discography of that includes all of his sideman work. you'd think that in this age of massive computing power, somebody would be doing stuff like that, but i haven't seen it. oh well.

have a great weekend!

@joe shikspack Good point, the good musicians did see it. I was thinking more in the general public's view... where he seemed to be far less known than he deserved to be.

Nice to "see" you after the Great Pause.
Great music tonight.
About last night's ebs: The Lakota historian, Nick Estes, was simply great history and analysis.
This is the history I was taught in the late 60s, early 70s, by my radical history professors. They were really hot on genocide of the natives, and hot on the effect of slavery, but all of them gently walked back slavery as a cause of the civil war. At least they were anti-Viet Nam war, and started cluing us in on the CIA.
Hope you aren't weighing down the scales after the feast. TLOML and I tried and failed to have a reasonable feast. We are constantly out of control.
Enjoy your weekend, friend.
Thanks for all you do!
