Britain’s Royal Navy played a part in orchestrating and staging the sabotage of the Nord Stream gas pipelines in the Baltic Sea, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Saturday. The accusation follows the Russian Foreign Ministry’s claim that NATO conducted a military exercise during the summer, close to the location where the undersea explosions occurred.

Writing on its official Telegram channel, the ministry alleged that Royal Navy operatives “took part in planning, supporting and implementing” a “terrorist attack” to blow up the gas pipelines on September 26.

Scott Ritter does no longer seems to believe nuclear war will be happening. It is more More likely US will turn away from Ukraine if Republicans gain politically in the elections. This matches by personal thoughts after listening to conservative radio in the car on the weekly shopping trip. The theme of 3 different commentators was "America" was being weakened by economic and military supplies to Ukraine. What if we are attacked and need those weapons?

Maybe the nuclear scare will restart a real antiwar movement with a broad base of support. The progressive democrats are not antiwar.

Another unexpected trend gaining momentum is Republicans against FBI and CIA. There are recent public statements the agencies are corrupt, beyond redemption and should be abolished. The FBI theme continues to be mentioned by conservative radio hosts.
