U.S. Media declares Ukraine is winning the war

Suddenly every news source in America is telling us that Ukraine is beating Russia.
Such confidence.
So I went to Ukraine LiveMap, which has been covering the war since 2014. I've found it very authoritative.
Granted this is only the last 48 hours of the war, but there is no offensive going on in this region of Ukraine front. So what in the Hell are they talking about?

Probably just gobbling up
media space/oxygen to leave even less room for real news. Plus, for now, it helps DC justify the mega arms/cash grants to Ukraine and the additional ones under consideration. These MSM reports are tame compared to what the tabloids are going with: "Putin has lost half his army," "Russia running out of munitions and weapons," Putin will be gone in six months due to a fatal illness, RF coup, Russian civil war, etc.
The war has mostly stalemated
Western weapons have shown that columns of tanks and armored trucks are a liability.
So it's unlikely that we will see a major Russian offensive.
But we also saw the limitations of Western weapons in Afghanistan.
If the Russians dig in then Ukraine won't be launching any major offensive either.

I am trying to understand why the MIC would have Pelosi go to Taiwan at all, but especially now. Could it be another distraction, while something big is planned for Ukraine? Something else? Or is it just another sign of our desperation to impose WEF inspired plans on the world?
