It has been along week and my mind has been basically blank coming up with a topic for today's thread.

Probably need more caffeine than my home roasted coffee is supplying. Taste is great, but no buzz or jitters.

A lovely stroll through Trade Day this AM. My buddy bought a nice old brown coke bottle from Chattanooga bottling. I didn't buy anything.

Nice sunny day, so I'll get out and about. We've got a friend coming by this evening. Nice to have a bit of company. He caught COVID up in Rhode Island this winter, but came through fine.

I've been visiting Ottawa and the Border crossings this week. Been fun seeing the elites squirm. Big parties last night and expect a lot today. I expect a crach down at the ambassador bridge today. We'll see what we see. Been interesting.

Take care and be well. We all need to treasure our days.

@Lookout the Ambassador Bridge. My curiosity grows as US Government is now having to publicly encourage the federal Government of Canada to take control from the Provinces.

Wikipedia The term Government of Canada (French: Gouvernement du Canada) can refer to either the collective set of all three institutions, or more specifically to the executive—ministers of the Crown (the Cabinet) and the federal civil service (whom the Cabinet direct)—which corporately brands itself as the Government of Canada, or more formally, Her Majesty's Government

It has to be more than a few car parts effecting full employment for the car factories. If it was simply jobs our local and federal governments would not be pushing policies forcing firings and business closures.

US urges Canada to end trucker border blockade as mayor says protesters could be removed by force

The US government has urged Canada to use federal powers to ease the growing economic disruption caused by the blockade of the vital Ambassador Bridge by protesters opposed to coronavirus mandates.

The closure of North America’s busiest international land border crossing, a vital supply route for Detroit’s carmakers, has halted some auto output and left officials scrambling to limit economic damage.
...
“US and Canadian border and customs authorities are working with great urgency to ensure the continued flow of goods and services across our international border, leveraging alternative land routes, as well as air and sea options.”

The US homeland security adviser, Liz Sherwood Randall, was due to speak with the Canadian deputy minister of national defence, Jody Thomas.
...
Ford was looking at flying in some auto parts to a plant in Windsor that produced engines for popular models, a union official said.

The Canadian prime minister, Justin Trudeau, said he was working to end the bridge blockade, which hurt “regular Canadians whether it’s grocery store prices, whether it’s jobs lost or suspended, whether it’s supply chains disrupted”.
...
The Department of Homeland Security was making preparations to ensure that a Freedom Convoy event in Washington DC due in early March “does not disrupt lawful trade and transportation or interfere with federal government and law enforcement operations and emergency services”, the official said.

Speaking of inkspots, the county sold my booby hatch to a Las Vegas slumlord, but I can't find a link to an article so you'll have to take my word for it. heh It's been closed for decades, the property was left to rot. Years of legal battles and tabloid headlines covering over the collapse of the mental health system worked. Sutter Health is still profitable I guess. Community Hospital tear down worth it.

My landlord came here on Thursday with a real estate agent, to see what he can get for the property these days. He didn't kick me out when he bought it eight years ago, so I like him. In those days I had a high social credit score, these days I don't. These days are not those days. (yells at cloud) oh well

Public Service Request
Regretfully, I set someone off in the PMs and I am now on some kind of watch here. Thanks to all, but whatever happens please DO NOT CALL 988. That is the new 911 in California, for crazy people. Yes, I am crazy but if you 5150 me today, I will be dead within a week here. "That's the system". I have to dial eleventy digits on my demented phone now to talk to my neighbor across the street. (shakes fist at sky) Because they ran out of 707s to make the 988 work, or something like that. California engineering aint what it used to be.

I am not suicidal, I am simply feeling afraid, up against another system wall. Like a million others nearby. It's not that complicated. Imagine the big Monty Python Flying Circus foot coming down from the sky and squashing the underclass to smitherenes. splat! I don't do war. I avoid it.
---
Speaking of wars, I was inspired by an essay here to look up the definition of class again. What I read totally crushed my self-esteem 'cause there is nothing lower than the underclass, which is where I now reside since the naughties, socially speaking. Class is yet another social construct, I don't understand the psychology. It seems sick, but that's my filter. Avoid sickness.

Oak Crest is where the county used to lock up crazies for 72 hours before kicking them back to the curb in the 70s. I still remember shooting out that front door like a rocket as soon as I heard it was going to be 72 hours imprisonment. Woo! Getting tackled by psyche techs is fun! lol Yeah, no it isn't. Dawg bless the doctor who gave me the secret incantation that keeps me from low level imprisonment, simply for being sad. WONT FIX

988 might help some people, like the professional managers who get a brand new hot crisis industry vein to suck from, or the patients who can tolerate the pHarma products, but it won't help me. Thanks anyway! I'd say yay mutual aid but not sure how that looks at the moment. This whole side of the street will be for sale if my landlord goes to market now, and my herbal neighbors across are selling to get a bigger property in Arizona. ch ch ch changes

P.S. While I'm making requests, if you are thinking about sending a money patch please don't do anything. Doing nothing is doing something right now. Let's wait and see what happens next. Avoid everything.

@QMS oh thanks, I think? This is the longest giddyup moment I've had since years, I hope it ends soon. Floodgates open strong current can't resist, just gonna go with it. Ya triggered my Merry Clayton playlist. She is goddess inside my mind, big inspiration to keep my head down and paddle, despite everything. I am asking myself "how did I get here?".

What led up to my 5150 experience was a forced medical procedure I was not old enough to decide. Back in my teenage years I thought it was perfectly normal to be wearing a YES belt buckle, and living that song Mendocino as if... what was I thinking? "We used to walk through the park and make love every day in Mendocino" that's what. DUH hormones. I still miss the family I never had.

The last gift my mom gave me before up and dying age 54 was a bicentennial Roe job down on California Street in San Francisco. Because my bf was over age and I was under, of course we caved to the threats of prosecution and stuff. Teenage fuckups, we got too rapey so I had to murdery my baby. That's how it felt at the time. No choices. Thanks a lot Roe! Revenge is a kind of wild justice. My mom did not want me, I was a New Years party oops, born on Labor Day weekend. My dad was off deer hunting then, wasn't even near the hospital. Ho hum number four, why bother. He died three years after her. I was as fucked in the head back then, as I am today. A dried up twig on the family tree. Mooney's revenge.

Silk pajamas mink coat chanel scarf. Well that's not me but oh well I admire the hell out of Merry Clayton, sacrificing a life for a fucking rock song. It's a good song. I had a bad doctor who dangled the scrapings from my cervix and made comments like "it woulda been a boy". omg I'll never forget it. Ever.

Moscow Hands Note to US Military Attache Over US Sub Violating Russian Waters

According to the ministry, the submarine was addressed both in Russian and English and was urged to immediately come up to the surface – but the warning was ignored. Then, in line with the guidance about the underwater protection of the borders, the crew of the Russian "Marshall Shaposhnikov" frigate used "relevant methods." The submarine left the area quickly, the ministry added.

More at moonofalabama. (my bold)

The U.S. will probably claim that the submarine was in Japanese waters when the Russian navy repelled it.

Russia believes that the new Japanese push on the Kuril islandw issue has been instigated by the U.S. as a part of its current general harassment of Russia. Today's submarine incident will be taken as proof of that thesis.

During the call between Biden and Putin the Russian side will certainly mention the submarine incident.

I do not expect any public results from the call. But there are without doubt some background negotiations about the demands Russia has made and which the U.S. so far has rejected.

The submarine incident could have developed way more badly. The current U.S. behavior is extremely dangerous but being dangerous may well be its intent.

Thanks for bringing up the subject. Zelensky has probably realized he is not getting a plane ride out of Ukraine if (when) the killing starts.

@studentofearth

For months Biden’s been bitching about Russia having its troops on its own borders and elsewhere in their country and yet he has no problem sending our military to play in Russia’s backyard. It’s weird though that shitlibs and others who follow media stenographers don’t about our hypocrisy or why Russia has done what it has. They are unaware that we’ve been supporting literal Nazis in Ukraine and have been since Obama’s brutal coup on thie president. They are fully on board with our aggressions against Russia and they make derogatory comments about Putin and the Russian people. More and more I’m appalled by the stupidity of people who keep falling for the newest WMDs scam and believe that our military is a force for good. I’ve got a good rant building up, but I’d be singing to the choir. Those who need to hear it are tone deaf.

@snoopydawg marketing campaigns. Our countries recent history of using the military to attack targets without navies or ability to control air space seems to have created the myth of military service for personal growth. No wonder expensive education and medical care are necessary as chronic reasons to join. Not sure if the military leadership and regular grunts can handle the mental shock of causalities in a war with a capable foe.

in 1991: The First Iraq War was also Sold to the Public on a Pack of Lies

How False Testimony and a Massive US Propaganda Campaign Bolstered GHW Bush's War on Iraq.

By 2002 the evidence of the Gulf War lies were fully available to the public and members of Congress. And yet, instead of learning from that and being properly skeptical, far fewer Democratic Senators voted against Shrub's War than had voted against his daddy's war. Fewer still today can recall that both wars were sold with pack of lies and therefore, aren't applying the obvious lessons learned to Biden's itch to take on Russia.

... The Kuril Islands are a volcanic archipelago located in Russia’s Far East. As part of the 1945 Yalta Agreement signed by Winston Churchill, Joseph Stalin, and Franklin Delano Roosevelt, the islands were promised to the Soviet Union in return for entering the Pacific War against Imperial Japan. Tokyo lays claim on the archipelago’s four southernmost islands, which it calls its “Northern Territories.” Russia rejects these claims outright. The Kuril Islands dispute has kept Japan and Russia from concluding a peace treaty to formally mark an end to WWII-era hostilities.

Rahm Emanuel, U.S. ambassador to Japan, said in a video address on Monday that Washington recognizes Japan’s sovereignty over the Northern Territories, adding that "Russia's disregard for the sovereignty of others is also not new, nor is it limited to the Northern Territories.”
