I look forward tonight to watching the returns in Wisconsin, hoping for a strong showing for Bernie. And then onward for two weeks to New York.
So, going forward, where do we go from here?
And I am thinking in terms of both this blog site (micro) and also more in general terms (macro).
Just a few thoughts about our caucus99 space... well, one:
Write!
One thing that seems to work for me (when I'm a little less busy) is (was, in the past) pick a day, any day, and start a regular weekly series on a topic, theme, or focus of your choice. I'd like to encourage everyone to consider contributing, your thoughts and ideas and content are what helps to make this space into a 'cozy home'!
As to the macro, well, I am now out of time but I really wanted to toss this out here for discussion. Gauis Publius at DownWithTyranny posted this yesterday:

glad you clicked through to read it, wish I could do it a little more justice here. I've read several good articles the past few days, discussing how or why Bernie is such a supremely better choice and whatever, but this one by Gaius really gets to the nitty gritty.

about his ace in the hole. At this point in time, I leave open the right to change my mind, but right now, I'm convinced I will be voting for Bernie Sanders, even if he is not the dem nominee. Again, that's at this moment. Hell, I might just move to Canada! (yikes it's fucking cold up there!)
In terms of content, well, I would like to see "sections" that cover the broad issues
- Environment
- Healthcare
- Jobs
and so on.
And the front page maybe a reflection of those issues, one essay from each or something like that.
Maybe have writers work in groups to cover the issues more in depth, where a couple of writers work of different parts of an issue.
As an example, take the Water Poisoning in Flint. That in its self is a huge issue and there are many branches, the people affected, what is local / state / federal agencies doing about it, how do we help and so on. It's a lot for one single writer to tackle. Especially if we take the issue of water up one level to a national level, and then how are the water systems around the country?
Obviously Climate Change IS the single, largest issue facing human kind. It's overwhelming to me just thinking about it, and where to start to tackle the subject, especially considering there are a lot of more knowledgeable people than me, and better writers than me, to tackle that topic.
Maybe in line with Bernie's idea of reforming the Democratic party, we can have a group of writers working on that and how we do it.
Just rambling at this point, but great suggestion and I'll give it more thought and maybe not be so ignorant.
