Dr John continues to be hopeful about the new variant despite national leaders pushing the panic button. From my view this is hopeful holiday news and may well spell the end our this mess. (21 min)

I am in the Western Cape province in SA where we have just entered our fourth wave, behind other provinces like Gauteng, which seems to have just peaked.
Even though our area hasn’t been hit badly by Omicron infections yet, cases are rising quite quickly. Compared to Delta, where you could feel people were very anxious about contracting that variant and almost everyone knew someone in hospital and most knew someone who had died, the mood is definitely different.
We are just not hearing about mass hospitalisations like in the third wave and those that are testing positive are mainly feeling flu like symptoms for a few days and then recovering. We are really hopeful that Omicron is definitely much milder.
So it appears more transmissible but less virulent. Excellent news IMO...hopefully inferring natural immunity to both vaxed and unvaxed around the world.
At least I remembered this time.

According to media reports, the Omicron variant was discovered in Botswana, in four fully “vaccinated” individuals. Physicians in South Africa responded saying that while the variant has been detected, they are not seeing significant illness from it. All cases so far have been mild and none has required hospitalization
Omicron appears to be evading the COVID jab, resulting in breakthrough infections at a higher rate than previous variants. This is a sign that the mass vaccination campaign may be breeding “vaccine” resistance
There’s a curious feature of Omicron, however, that hints at it having been modified in a lab. The closest genetic sequences date back to mid-2020. It doesn’t seem to belong to any of the evolutionary branches that have emerged since
Omicron has 25 nonsynonymous and only one synonymous spike mutation compared to its most recent common ancestor, AV.1. Were it a natural occurrence, that ratio ought to be somewhere between 25 to 50 and 25 to 100
There’s no precedent for this oddity occurring in nature. There is, however, precedent for this in lab-leaked pandemics
... Is Omicron Another Lab Creation?
As for the nature and origin of Omicron, Malone says:
“It has the hallmark of a viral agent under tight genetic selection for evolution to escape the ‘vaccine’ responses against the receptor bonding domain. The question that is outstanding right now is — because this is so different from the other strains that are being tracked; it’s in its own separate little evolutionary branch — how did this happen? Why did this suddenly pop up with all these new mutations?”
...
While the Omicron origin question is likely to grow, our fear of this variant doesn’t have to. So far, all indications are that Omicron is among the mildest of the variants — highly infectious with rapid spread, but very mild in terms of symptoms.
While Malone admits he is not closely tracking the mutations of the virus, and is not qualified to speculate on its evolution, he points out there is a subset of experts who believe it may have undergone lab modification
Useless information posted on a easily questionable site.
The good doctor should post the names of this subset who believe it may.
Casually mentioning a subset of experts bothers me greatly.

Regardless of the path in life I chose, I realize it's always forward, never straight.
Until and unless we end up with conclusive proof of its origin, we need to keep all options open, Malone says, and that includes the possibility of Omicron being cooked up in a lab from a previous strain.
I won't limit myself to "approved" sites. (I don't like Bannon - he is an asshole). BUT he does have a following on the other side of the aisle. The worst thing at this time is a divide and conquer scenario. I try to keep an open yet critical mind.
"The good doctor should post the names of this subset who believe it may." - I'm sure he will once they've got their ducks in a row. Are you worried someone will run with his speculation? I believe the majority at C99% are much, much more knowledgeable and discerning than sites like DKos and don't read anything into this report other than what Mallone is speculating.
The following is key to Mallone's well founded speculations. It doesn't appear to be random mutations:

There's no such thing. But after 30+ years in the medical field I have no issue with calling dr. mercola a capitalistic grifter and the quack of fools.
Some of my required studies involved him and his many times outlandish claims without verifiable proof. For every claim he makes that may have proof that he never shows, there are 10 times more for those that defy belief and practical knowledge.
These are my two cents and nothing disparaging towards you.

Robert Wallace Malone is an American virologist and immunologist. His work has focused on mRNA technology, pharmaceuticals, and drug repurposing research. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he has been criticized for promoting misinformation about the safety and effectiveness of COVID-19 vaccines.[1][2][3][4]

I think it might have been done for good reasons--as a way of getting the world out of this.

This entire thing is about complete control using a biometric 'passport' with massive computer data banks. The plandemic was only a means to an end. It's all being done in plain sight.

But my question is that now that there are at least 3 Fauci approved drugs available to treat the Rona then how can vaccines that aren’t true vaccines still get emergency authorization? Especially when they don’t stop people from getting infected. I can only imagine how people would have reacted if the polio vaccine had as many breakthrough cases as the ones for Rona do.
But here is more news from Israel about natural immunity. Israel is the world’s Petrie dish on how well they work.

Oh sure Fauci can claim whatever he wants, but it’s not legal for government to interfere with people’s mail like that. Nor should it be legal for pharmacists to deny a prescription written by a doctor just because they believe that it doesn’t work. Nor is it legal for hospital administrators to override a doctor’s treatment because someone else told them to do it. It’s not legal for insurance companies to tell doctors whether a treatment is right either. My doctors had to fight with insurance guard dawgs when they had medical emergencies, but the non educated person told them it wasn’t one. You have a very short window to reattach a retina or zap an abnormal blood vessel encroaching on the macula. Or to keep a person’s eye from filling with blood. Patients shouldn’t have to pay their medical bill because someone said it wasn’t an emergency. But it happens far too often. All goes back to that made up value that some psychopaths can’t get enough of.

before releasing this on the world? This is Fauci explaining how he wasn’t sure that the masss vaccination program wouldn’t make things worse!
Something has clearly shifted. Fauci is here talking about EXACTLY what many of us tried to warn you about (simply as a possible risk backed up by the facts) and were censored for. He outright states that we don’t know if ADE is there due to short trials. pic.twitter.com/yRQWg8wCwU
In a real civilization, he'd never get a job in medicine again.

People are never going to behave like they did before in cities or anywhere.
I used to go into New York every couple of weeks. But not any more. We blew our opportunity to prevent coronavirus from becoming endemic We were too attached to our evil health care system that bankrupts poor people. We missed the period when we could have controlled it. Blame Trump, whatever. But the truth is they refuse to fix it. So at least half the country cant risk a disease like that.
The cost would just bankrupt everyone.
People cant un-remember some things. Maybe its time to move out of cities. Reboot.
Youre right. Some berserk when (prudent) people brought up original antigenic sin or ADE or alternative treatments for Covid. As if there was only one approach to limiting Covid, which is stupid and given the money involved, seems questionable. I wonder if any were insider trading vaccine stocks or similar. Would seem to be very hard to prove under current conditions.
As Trevor Noah said corporate execs and the like were not reliable sources. They were not the reliable, unbiased sources that politicians in particular, claimed them to be. Its obvious.
BTW, there are several new articles out recently specifically about the COVID vaccines and attempting to evaluate the risks of "Original Antigenic Sin" effects, if significant. I don't think its possible to know, not being able to predict the random mutations that might emerge in the future and how they might interact with the antigens your body produced when it first encountered the coronavirus, whether naturally or from a vaccine. Which were the ones that your body imprinted on, like a duckling and its mother.
From the beginning, the Covid “vaccines” have felt like a massive scam.
Initially, consider the source. Vaxxmania arises from, and is zealously sponsored by, the same “experts” who masterminded the epic Covid overreaction: Fauci, Walensky, the Democratic governors, the Canadian, Australian and German governments and the media. In a compelling video, Dr. David Martin explains that the declaration of a “Pandemic(!)” and the lockdowns were a premeditated pretext for the shots.
Like a timeshare sales pitch, the folly of lockdowns, closures, masking and mass testing should have been obvious from Day 1. Viruses are ubiquitous, and respiratory infections are an unavoidable part of community life. Fortunately, such infections tend to be self-limiting. Further, Italian data from March, 2020 should have shown everyone that healthy, non-old people were not at serious risk. Beyond basic Biology and data, Americans should have known they were being conned when they saw that hokey TV clip of the Chinese guy scissoring his arms and legs in the street, ostensibly demonstrating the lethal threat that the Coronavirus posed.
...
As when buying a timeshare, the injections seem more appealing if you don’t examine the fine print, or how the deal unfolds over the long term. The devil is in the details. Gullible people aren’t good at details. Many Americans are gullible.
Recently, in places like the UK, Israel, Ireland, Iceland and Vermont, where data have been objectively, open-mindedly collected, increasing numbers of the vaxxed are becoming infected, landing in hospitals and dying. Hence, this is not, as the media has reported and the government has purported, a “pandemic of the unvaccinated.”
...
The injections’ stated benefit: keeping most people out of hospitals and dying, was easy to attain. Regardless of whether you were vaxxed or unvaxxed, if you’re under 70 and reasonably healthy, the likelihood of serious Covid harm was— and is—microscopic. Nearly 100% of reasonably healthy, non-old people survived infection, without treatment, before any vaccine. Saying the shots keep healthy people from dying from Coronavirus infection is like saying your house didn’t burn down because you had a fire extinguisher in your basement. Unless you live in a blighted neighborhood, your dwelling was at negligible risk of conflagration to begin with. When 99.98% of your age/weight cohort survives infection without treatment, and there are, in addition, effective—though nonetheless government and media discredited—therapeutics, even a truly effective vaccine would scarcely improve Covid outcomes for those reasonably healthy and under 75.
...
In addition to vaxxes’ distinctly limited effectiveness, and their chronological linkage to tens of thousands of near term deaths and other serious injuries already caused, the shots will likely end up actually causing even broader, longer term harm.
According to the Covid data analyst, Alex Berenson, the British are now finding that Covid shots interfere with your body’s innate ability after infection to produce antibodies against not just the Coronavirus spike protein, but also other pieces of the virus. Specifically, the vaccinated don’t seem to produce antibodies to the nucleocapsid protein, i.e., the shell of the virus, which are a crucial part of the response in the unvaxxed.
...
How long until they take away peoples’ ability to buy food? Given the past 19 months of government overreach, attempts to bankrupt or imprison the unvaxxed seem possible. The entire government Covid intervention has been hellish, frog-in-stovetop-water incrementalism foisted upon a passive public. People need to say “NO!”
Despite the obvious vaxx scam, many gullible people are taking boosters. But then, gullible people also still buy timeshares. Some timeshare owners--typically those who are new to the experience—even say they like them.
...
if Fauci hadn’t insisted on using death is near and ventilators? Too bad we will never know. How many knew that the CARES act that was the first bill passed by congress made it so hospitals could charge more if they used both of them after testing every person regardless if they had symptoms or not? That seems like some that shouldn’t be incentive. IMO of course.

There is nothing wrong with masking. Hell, under the circumstances, there's nothing wrong with a mask mandate. I say this as someone who lives with an immunocompromised person who could die from a bad case of flu (God forbid).
Requiring people to wear masks inside in public spaces is not out of line. Requiring them to get injections into their bodies of various substances over and over again for the rest of their lives clearly is. As is the fascistic attitude toward the unvaccinated.

I'm sort of in shock tonight because Ive just read that a dear San Francisco friend, my dear Tornado, passed away in 2018. Of what I dont know. I am going to have to reach out and see if I can find out more. A few years ago she tried to avoid going to the hospital when her appendix burst. I think I may have even told her story here. She ended up with a huge hospital bill for the emergency Which she, a decorative artist, was struggling to pay off. . She was an amazing person. And last I saw her, healthy. Arrgh.. She had so many friends, all around the world. She was San Francisco to many good people.
A very special very big part of the pre-corporate San Francisco - She and her big hugs and amazingly good energy.. She will be greatly missed.

Did you mean that hospitals were incentive to put people on ventilators who shouldn't have been? I just didnt follow what you were saying there. Sorry.
Masks - the kind that most people are using cannot stop viruses, they can only prevent outgoing spit and sputum flying out of a coughing mouth. So they very mildly protect others, not you.
The best protection is powered ventilation or opening windows in a way that replaces-circulates the inside air replacing the stale indoor air with fresh outdoor air.
@zed2
the first people to get infected and sick were the elderly >70-80 years old. Fauci and the NIH recommended that those infected with COVID stay at home and isolate so as to not overwhelm the hospitals. Those that got increasing sicker (they were given ZERO treatments during this time) the disease eventually made it extremely difficult to breath as their lungs were damaged by the virus with resulting fluid build up and micro clotting. This fluid build up looks like "ground glass" on a CT scan. So when their blood oxygen levels fell to levels lower than 90% they were admitted to hospital.
The first drug they were given was Remdesiver (nurses called it "Run, death is near" due to poor prognosis if you are prescribed the drug) at $3,000 to $6,000 a course plus O2. If the blood oxygen levels dropped to below 80% they would completely sedate you with narcotics and put you on a ventilator which mechanically helped your lungs work. The typical fee for this from the NIH was about $25,000 to $50,000. At this point you had a 70% chance of living.
The longer on the ventilator the worse your chances of living. The death rate averaged about 80% at the beginning due to using too high a pressure. The reason for this was the continually flexing of the alveoli (little sacs in the lungs where gas exchange CO2 out O2 in from blood took place) ended up damaging them (picture bending a plastic card over and over until it breaks). Normal breathing entails the expanding of your chest wall which causes the alveoli to gently expand pulling fresh air in. A ventilator can only force the air in by a positive pressure.
If you remember the extreme shortage of ventilators at the beginning in the spring of 2020. That was because the hospitals were using them when they shouldn't have been. I believe it was because of the extra money they took in. Don't forget that it was Fauci and his cohorts that were doing the recommendation of treatments for COVID. The high death rates caused a panic and fear to take hold within the public at large which set the stage for the plandemic.
One day (hopefully) we will find out the number of unnecessary deaths that occurred to crank up the fear factor.

Thats an economics term. It means maxing out the take, from this "once in a lifetime business opportunity" in gangsters terms. Taking as much money from the next generation as possible. Preferably leaving their estates with nothing to pass on to their children.. That makes sense as that's what we have foolishly allowed the politicians to do. Obviously, they are doing whatever makes them and their cronies the most. If money is an essential signaling tool (in neoliberalism) we are signalling that we don't care how many poor or old people die as long as a few a lucky few, make lots and lots of money for a short while while to grease the flow, (and then lose it.)

Where did Omicron come from?
Dr. Malone makes an educated guess.
Thats what betacoronaviruses do, naturally.
They mutate.

This mutation has the hallmarks of manipulation.
A bridge too far
Useless information posted on a easily questionable site.
The good doctor should post the names of this subset who believe it may.
Casually mentioning a subset of experts bothers me greatly.
Regardless of the path in life I chose, I realize it's always forward, never straight.
Dr. Mallone admits just that
he is just speculating at this time.
I've got to run. I've got a funeral to see and people to do.
I agree.
Regardless of the path in life I chose, I realize it's always forward, never straight.
If this report was just Mercola and Bannon
I would have given it a pass. But I do respect Dr. Malone. He is a careful speaker and has never made any claims he couldn't back up.
I, too, have been wondering whether this is
another lab creation. If so, oddly enough, I think it might have been done for good reasons--as a way of getting the world out of this.
It's just a thought.

That would be a very nice gift,
if it actually brings us closer to herd immunity, something the vaccines have failed miserably at, and bring us to an end to the insanity. Time will tell.

pandemic starting in 2024-2025.
This entire thing is about complete control using a biometric 'passport' with massive computer data banks. The plandemic was only a means to an end. It's all being done in plain sight.

to accomplish that. At least not where the U.S. holds sway.

Now ggersh don’t try to 2nd guess the great minds
of Pfizer. Just take their word that what they have created is the best thing since sliced bread.

There is no way that is legal
It is all about Risk Reduction
TPTB use Relative Risk Reduction (RRR) to hide information. Absolute Risk Reduction puts things in perspective.

Virus made people's lives change.
Why can't they face facts.
Reboot.
"Original Antigenic Sin" or "antigenic Original Sin" and yes,
@snoopydawg .

Again, I don't know why masking
is lumped in with all those other shitty things.
