Don't necessarily 'beat' Covid, any more than the Bedouin beat the desert or Sherpas beat the Himalayas.. BUT they appear to have come through with far less damage health-wise than places claiming to follow 'the science' and Big Pharma.

In the case of the Amish, as Sharyl Atkisson reports, they simply kept working and powered through without resorting to hospitals, testing or vaccination. Presumably, some did die, but by far the most got Covid and didn't die - they ended up doing better than ever economically and now have near-universal natural immunity.

India's Covid situation has been, overall, improving rapidly for months. There are considerable differences within the country from state to state, though.

For Oct. 18, India was reporting 13,500 or so new daily cases, Israel 1400 plus. India is around 15% vaccinated, Israel 85%. India new cases, around ten times greater than Israel. India population, though? *155* times that of Israel.

India added 13,596 new coronavirus infections taking the total tally of COVID-19 cases to 3,40,81,315, while the active cases declined to 1,89,694, the lowest in 221 days, according to the Union Health Ministry data updated on Monday.

The death toll climbed to 4,52,290 with 166 fresh fatalities, according to the data updated at 8 am.

The active cases comprise 0.56 per cent of the total infections, the lowest since March 2020, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate was recorded at 98.12 per cent, the highest since March 2020, the ministry said.

A decrease of 6,152 cases has been recorded in the active COVID-19 caseload in a span of 24 hours.

It has been taken up by news organizations from The Hill to The Post Millenial. It involves a virus (I think), the NIH and Fauci, but not the dreaded "C"word. I'm going to stick it here, and move it if necessary.

We write with grave concerns about reports of costly, cruel and unnecessary taxpayer-funded experiments on dogs commissioned by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID),” 24 Republican and Democrat lawmakers said on Thursday in a letter to Fauci. The letter noted that as director of NIAID, Fauci had directed $1.68 million in taxpayer money to fund medical testing on at least 44 beagle puppies in 2018 and 2019.

The "alledged" experiments involve taking live beagle puppies, constraining them in a cage that only covers their head, thereby immobilizing them, and then introducing sand fleas into the cages, to eat and/or infect the puppies, presumably with some sort of virus.

The testing on beagles was exposed in August, when a nonprofit group called the White Coat Waste Project (WCW) obtained documents on the experiments under the Freedom of Information Act. The group alleged that Fauci has directed funding of “wasteful and brutal” beagle experiments at labs in Tunisia, California and Georgia. Such research was also done at the headquarters of the National Institute of Health (NIH), parent of NIAID.

This is so bizarre that I am not sure I believe it...an attack on Fauci from far left field? Dark Comedy? Or the truth?

Is #Fauci responsible for spending taxpayer money to fund puppy torture? "dogs had their vocal cords removed, allegedly so scientists could work without incessant barking" beagle lives matter @PhilHollowayEsq

Yeah, that would be the logical first step.

@Bisbonian it here. Fauci as head of NIAID is responsible for that disgusting program, and he's still Biden's chief Covid adviser, as well as being the most prominent spokesman in the MSM. It's relevant to his overall credibility and moral standing, as many out there, esp many cable-watching liberals, consider him America's Doctor.

Whether his lofty position is further undermined by the ongoing stories regarding NIH-funded GoF research at Wuhan or by this latest puppy story, it will impact his role in the Covid context as his public standing takes a hit. The public may not grasp the GoF story, but they will understand and have strong feelings about cruel experiments on puppies arranged by Fauci.

@Bisbonian via research on live animals (and humans). Historical observational knowledge accumulated over time is not valued and dismissed as folklore medicine or quackery. Scientific experiments with animal models (live animal experiments) are necessary to believe in the effectiveness of modern medical therapies.

So unfortunately the type of experiment with the beagles is probably true. Directly related to Fauci, we will better understand overtime.

from a media entity called WION, which I never got the memo about. Does anyone here know more about that organization? It's reporting in other areas perhaps. Is it consistently good, or kinda quirky and inconsistent like RT. Seems almost too good to be true, as their Covid reporting is honest and aggressively goes after the big players.

@Lookout briefly checked out their website they seem a little more RT-ish, uneven and slightly tabloid, than I had hoped. And couldn't find much up to date on how India is dealing w/Covid in some states with Ivermectin, but will check more later. In a search, I could only find the usual western media type of disparaging news reports about IVM. So the online print edition is a bit disappointing. Maybe I'll have a more positive view when I watch more of their live streaming content.

I would be interested in why you find this outlet is anti-China.

We can get to "know" WION and see what we think. Like most sources, I bet some coverage will be good...others less so. We'll see.

I would find their coverage of, say, Taiwan, and whether it reflects a US slant, more revealing of their biases than something about the dam, about which I know little.

I think they're good at exaggerating in hopes they can profit from vaccinating children. UK isn't buying it, and if we cared about kids we wouldn't either (except for youngsters with extreme co-morbidities).

@Fishtroller 02 directly in involved in healing various parts of the body. Ideally they stop an infectious agent before it settles in our body. If an infectious agent begins replicating inside our bodies antibodies is one of the tools to minimize the spread.

Initially Covid infection was thought to be a respiratory disease, then noticed it may also trigger an exaggerated immune causing complications and death. Unexpected complications
have lead to questions if it may be a hematological or cardiovascular disease.

A ideal vaccine should be able to activate an immune response to prevent future infections for a long period of time without triggering complications of a full infection. Long term studies of the various vaccines will need continue for several years comparing them to each other, patients recovered from Covid and populations never showing signs of infection.

Sweden just cancelled Moderna vaccine for those 30 and younger due to cardiac complications.

@Lookout The first vaccine development efforts were after the DNA sequencing and before the method of infection was identified. Appears to be a good overview article referenced by wokkamile on current work with nasal vaccines.

While I was looking came across this information. May end up being of value to reduce intensity of an infection.

@studentofearth I have a drs. appointment tomorrow afternoon to determine if I have RA or not. I am confident I do not, but for the allergists, dermatologist to move forward, they need a followup test on a weird blood test I had a couple of weeks ago.
Seems RA is a paired test. One came back positive to the extreme, the other negative. My drs. have never seen that result before.
Something very strange is going on.

First part talks about how the spike protein in the vaccine causes blood clots. It’s unconscionable that they are still giving them. Of course the CDC knows what is happening because they have to verify every case for VAERS before they post it! Hey Rachel Walensky they are not totally safe!

A study printed on 7th July 2021 describes the groundbreaking discovery of the cause of clotting by vaccines. In summary, as we have been discussing in the past. Clotting is caused by the antibodies produced against platelet factor 4. Just as in heparin induced thrombocytopenia (HIT). Let’s review.

That nurses are not being told to make sure that they aren’t aspirating vaccine injections and many haven’t ever heard about it nor are they doing it. I knew that just from being around nurses back when I worked in hospitals and was told that when the vet taught me how to give Abby her shot.

I tell you reading what nurses are saying these days was an eye opener. What will our medical system look like in a few decades if teaching becomes so sloppy? My biggest dread is going in a Medicaid run nursing home. They are not safe now.

My biggest dread is going in a Medicaid run nursing home.

We've had a running joke in our crowd about when we're banging our trays at the nursing home, we've got to find one kind nurse to buy our pot (perhaps to keep us from banging our trays).

We don't know what awaits us, but I sure hope I manage to avoid a home too. I want to go like my Grandma...peacefully asleep...not screaming like the passengers in her car.

I used to go into nursing homes when I was in my 20's to draw blood and I was there between 4-5 am cuz I had to be at work at 6. I woke up a lot of grumpy people. Or maybe they were only grumpy because I woke them up at that UN gawdly hour. But it saved them a trip to get it done. Boy was that great money too for a youngster. Paid cash for my motorcycle and lots of other stuff I probably didn’t need. I was out before the plows in the winter. Back then we got lots of snow. But yeah if I do I’m blaming karma.

We’re getting lots of rain and snow this month. Sure hope it keeps up all winter. Mountains have received a few feet already too. It’s good for the soil. More runoff later instead of soaking in. Keep your fingers crossed for the West.
I want to go like your grandma did too. Smile

Re the Pfizer Vaccine, the CDC says the same in its Vaccine Preparation and Administration Summary while not mentioning aspiration of syringe: "Administration: Intramuscular (IM) injection in the deltoid muscle". https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/covid-19/info-by-product/pfizer/downloads/p...

Not sure how those administering would know for sure if it's being done intramuscularly unless the syringe is aspirated first.

@snoopydawg being given in a chain pharmacy, I would be much less confident that the instruction sheet had been read thoroughly.

But I think it's interesting that both Pfizer and the CDC state clearly that the injection should be intramuscularly. How many here who got their shots noticed if the person giving the shot aspirated the syringe? Similarly how many vaccinees were given full informed consent about the various known possible side effects before getting the shot?

Or are Pfizer/CDC unconcerned about whether their instructions are followed bc Pfizer cannot be held liable for adverse effects?

especially the informed consent. At the beginning many of the adverse effects were not known because they were given before the effects started going up. I just hope that teenagers are being told about them before and not after they get jabbed.

No. ACIP does not recommend aspiration when administering vaccines because no data exist to justify the need for this practice. There are data that show that aspiration is more painful for the vaccine recipient. IM injections are not given in areas where large vessels are present. Given the size of the needle and the angle at which you inject the vaccine, it is difficult to cannulate a vessel without rupturing it and even more difficult to actually deliver the vaccine intravenously. We are aware of no reports of a vaccine being administered intravenously and causing harm in the absence of aspiration

One of the reasons why vaccine adverse events are underreported is that many healthcare workers are being threatened, discouraged, and prevented to report the incidents on VAERS.

But it takes 30 minutes or more to fill out the reports and they are not easy to do. Or just as you’re getting ready to finish and click submit the system crashes and how many have time to redo it? And just who is threatening them? Drug companies, doctors or administrators? And why? Probably for the same reason the media isn’t talking about the numbers in the first place.

The young girl who was horribly injured in the Pfizer trial had a commercial made about her but Comcast lawyers won’t let it happen. Can’t have any doubts about the vaccines that might scare parents from getting their kids jabbed now can they? It’s irresponsible to hide what happened to her.

Just like democrats reversing the MeToo movement when it was about Trump they did the same thing to my body my right. They are cheering that people are getting fired for not getting vaccinated. No matter that they worked for 18 months with faulty PPE, now they are being selfish and putting the vaxxed at risk.

Funny story. A bar in a country over the pond gave green and red armbands to bar patrons. Anyone unvaxxed got a red one and had to go out at midnight. Greens got to stay till closing. Now there’s some science that shows that at midnight the virus comes out to prey on the unvaxxed. You can’t make this up. And apparently you can’t get infected while you’re eating either. Or drinking whilst flying. Why? Science.

@snoopydawg sources of VAERS data. It may have been Jessica Rose. What I remember, is that over 80% were from health care workers. The percent of individual data input was in the single digits as I recall. Wish I could pull that up for everyone.

This was a brief study to review whether there are spoiler data and spammers, which apparently are small if not infinitesimal. Kind of like voter fraud.

protocol, not a bunch of worry worts that have been dislodged from reasonable reality.

I think they're quick and easy, and since you're not vaxed, it would tell you if you've had an asymptomatic case. I suspect I have, but I've had my vaxes and I think I would require the more expensive T-cell test, but I'm ready to be educated if anyone can tell me better. Is there a natural immunity test?

Why is it even in this educated crowd we can't answer fairly simple questions? Hey, it's a rhetorical question.

there are several members of the head family in our crowd...(and I kid you not) There's Meat head, Steel Head, Pot Head and Dead Head...all right here. So hope I didn't offend with the hard head joke.

PS - it was OTC that clued me in to antibody test for nonvaxed. If you're positive...you have natural immunity...at least for a while...probably longer than being vaxed.

I'm not antivax, but I want people to understand risks...and there are risks. IMO higher risk than benefit for kids. Will they force children and parents into this corner? It won't come out well for anyone.

I'm all for vaxes for kids that have issues from diabetes to obesity, but otherwise the risks clearly outweigh benefits. Even our corrupt ally the UK agrees. We've lost our collective minds when kids can be used to accelerate profit as we create health issues for them. It is beyond words for this retired teacher.

@Lookout @Lookout a valid argument for vaccinating kids if a) these vaccines actually stopped virus spread, which they do not, b) the vaccines were safe, which they are not, and c) deaths from Covid were more evenly distributed throughout the age groups of the population, which is also not the case, as most deaths (76%) occur with those age 65+. https://www.statista.com/statistics/1254488/us-share-of-total-covid-deat...

So what we have is a vax program for kids being rolled out, probably soon to reach mandate status in many places, where we are asking the young people to take an unduly high risk of serious injury in order to save the elderly. Morally it makes no sense. And bc the vaccines are ineffective at stopping the spread, it makes no logical sense either. Something that Bret Weinstein has been pointing out for a while.
