has pulled ahead.
I thought this clip might give you some information.

Yanis Varoufakis: Angela Merkel Was Bad for Europe and the World

The article is worth a read.

oh, oh ...

Angela Merkel casually engineered a humanitarian crisis in my country to camouflage the bailout of quasi-criminal German bankers.

I have to go back and watch German TV's coverage of the election results. Sorry. Have a good Sunday all.

Will be interesting if Social Democrats ally with the Greens who seemed to be the most Russophobic party in election.

Are there still votes being tallied? Do you think Linke could add .1% more?

@janis b
as a party did not add enough to get into the Bundestag. I am so tired, more important are the AfD votes. I fear a huge division among the Germans about them. I hate them with a passion. And I am completely done with election-watching. All I see is chaos.

I will emigrate to NZ ... Smile

@mimi
The 5% cutoff is suspended if at least three of a party’s candidates running in the individual districts win their districts.

Die Linke seems to have achieved this, so they’re in.

"Grundmandatsklausel im Bundeswahlgeset".

Nach dieser Klausel erhalten Parteien, die mindestens drei Direktmandate gewinnen, so viele Sitze, wie es ihrem Zweitstimmenanteil entspricht - und dies eben auch, wenn sie unter fünf Prozent geblieben sind

.

I was not able to explain this in English and have not enough knowledge about our complicated election laws altogether.

I would be happy if you could chime in and explain it.

How are you? I hope your healh status is improving.

All the best.

I had read about the policy that includes them in the Bundestag. It's not that different from how parliament works here.
